International air tickets are generally costly, so when you have a site like this it becomes fairly easy for you to travel. I have used their services numerous times and every time I was blessed with cheap airfare deals.
I booked my flight on Saturday, February 21 and got an immediate confirmation stating my flight was confirmed. After 10 mins, I get a follow up email stating there was a credit card mismatch. I tried calling them several times for the next 48 hours, waiting from 30 minutes to 1 hr and still could not get a hold of a customer service representative. Someone finally emails me stating the flight increased from $765 to $815. I told them that I will only authorize a payment with the original booking price and I haven't heard from them yet.
I ordered online from this company, faregeek.com, on Saturday 21,2015. I quickly received an email that my status was Confirmed.
On Wednesday evening I received an email that my "confirmed booking was on hold because of fare expire". A much more expensive option was offered. I called, only for them to tell me that there was nothing they could do. Excuses about the time it takes for the airline to get back to them was given to me. Hogwash.
By the way, the company is located in INDIA.
They will not notify the customer in case of serious changes (bank refusing the payment, flight cancellation). In case if somebody else is paying for the ticket (Faregeek does NOT accept foreign credit cards), they want the customer to send credit card numbers AND copies of the card via email. They are not safe, they are not trustworthy. I'd rather pay $100 more and have a better customer experience.
We bought tickets from them and then we had to cancel due to death. They confirmed a per refund. They were terrible. After over three months, they still have not returned the money. They still kept the money.
The agents are very unhelpful and completely useless. The complaint department does not reply at all. They are nightmare. No one should buy from them.
I still purchased my flight ticket after reading couple of these reviews because the ticket I purchased was much cheaper than what kayak or other websites were offering (got my ticket for $630 where the cheapest offer from other websites were $790). I didn't experience any trouble as I didn't need to change anything I purchased the ticket. It seems most of these reviews are complains with their customer service which I never needed talking to them! I would buy ticket from them again if I find their prices cheaper than other websites!
I was asked to issue verification and was instantly approved. Received my tickets. Customer service very pleasant and very helpful in free phone line.
The verification e mail is issued to all non USA customers
Tip for consumers:
the further e-mail does not result in misuse of your details
The customer care team is always available to help whenever I need their assistance. Sometimes I have to wait a while before an executive takes the call, but usually the service is fast and co-operative.
I bought a business class flight only through this company but when I arrived at the airport I was told the ticket was only valid with a cruise voucher. There was no mention of this on my booking. According to Air France, this is a common ploy used by dishonest agents. Air France obliges them to sell these discount tickets only as part of a package but the agent then mis-sells them to customers. I spent all day on the phone trying to rebook a ticket but Faregeek refused to help. I was forced to purchase a last minute premium economy ticket (still more expensive than the original business class ticket) for the next day and claim the difference from Faregeek (who look unlikely even to refund me). Totally dishonest. Don't use this company.
They sent me a message with confirmation #'s that my tickets were booked. When my husband and I went to the airport, United told us we were not registered on the plane.
After returning from the airport, I received a notification saying "that my reservation was successfully cancelled".
I called Faregeek and he told me that the price of the tickets was too low and the airline would not accept them. I asked why did he did not call and tell me this? He said it was to late?
It has been three or four times that I have used this website to fly to places like Austria, Venice, Prague and many more. So far I have found the service and the website updated. The notifications reach on time and also the payment procedures are smooth. I have never faced any problem with the website.
I cannot recommend their service to anyone. I was informed that my ticket was cancelled just 16 hours before departure, even though the ticket was issued half a week from that date. This happened twice in a row. I may just have been unlucky. However, I wouldn't trust this company with my credit card information at any times.
Thank you for letting us know about your recent experience with us.
We apologize if our service did not meet your expectations as we understand that your issue is in regards to the flight cancellation on the day of your departure.
Would request you to kindly share your booking number, email ID and contact number so that we can check internally and have this case addressed.
It is not a serious agency! I think it is scam website.
They sent me a message that I got my ticket. Then I went to the airport and I was not registered on the plane!
Then I received a notification saying "that my reservation was successfully cancelled".
While I am writing these lines I am trying to get them on the phone: on hold for more than 50 minutes! There should be an option for no star!
I had used their service. It is good, but unfortunately I had to change the time for my flight. So I messaged them on their Facebook page and was answered quickly and also received a call from them. I am impressed.
I was searching the internet to get discounted or less priced tickets to fly to Sweden. It was month end and I had to depend on my saving and hence a less priced ticket is what would help me best. This website provided a great deal.
I have used many other sites for booking my flight tickets. But I find faregeek.com is the best site to navigate and with best prices. More over the site is very user friendly. From now on I will definitely use faregeek.com to book my future flights.
I just planned by vacation to New York through this website and I am all excited to experience it now. I am surprised by the wide selection of vacation packages provided by Faregeek and the attractive travel deals that are simply hard to resist. I opted in for my vacation package within my budget capacity.
I used Faregeek to book a recent vacation to Las Vegas. The price was amazing, my confirmation was sent within 24 hours, credit card charged correctly and ticketed electronically. I travelled and returned without a single issue. I will definitely use them again. Their website is easy to use, the communication was great and directions were clear.
I have used this website three times and my friend has used it more than me. When I booked tickets for myself for destinations like Sweden and England I got good discount deals. Even my friend shared that he too received his tickets to Paris for a discounted price. It’s a good website to book your tickets.
Terrible customer service.
I booked a trip to Europe with them. I opted into getting travel insurance and paid extra $50 through faregeek. 2 days later insurance provider charged me separately and insurance now totalled to $100. Insurance company advised me to deal with faregeek. I contacted faregeek and requested a refund a month ago. I have yet to receive it. FTC is now aware.
As a business traveller knew my flights could change so paid extra for free 100% satisfaction flight rescheduling privilege. I had to reschedule- desired flight still listed for same fare- they wanted $1275 to reschedule for one week. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Trip Advisor shame on you, my most trusted travel website, for being affiliated with such a low life company.
I was hoping to get a cheap flight deal for Dubai as I wanted to make it to the Dubai Shopping Festival 2016. All other travel websites were quoting a price more than my estimated budget. This website gave me the deal that was best for me. Loved it totally.
I am ticket fond person. I do buy tickets when I have to travel but I like to check tickets online for my information. I go through lot of websites daily. I came across this site and I found it is good and friendly website.
I was planning my visit to Stockholm for a long time, but was unable to make any progress as I wasnt getting the best flight deal. My friend recommended me this website and I checked out the flight deals and selected cheap flight tickets for myself. The discount was good and it helped me travel within my budget.
I used bookingbuddy.com to find a flight for one of my sales reps. Booked the flight on faregeek (agaisnt my better judgement), received confirmation and confirmation number then got 2 separate emails confirming my flight. The day my rep arrives at the airport, the United agent tells him that his ticket was cancelled by faregeek... WTF? I call them they tell me yeah sorry we had technical difficulty so we cancelled it without informing you, but maybe your spam/junk box received the email. I explained that no I had nothing in my spam/junk box. The rude and ignorant (not the real word I would use) representative tells me "Oh maybe we tried calling you." Had to re-book my sales rep on a later flight same day with the airline for double the price! This site should be shut down! Scam artists who hire ignorant people who don't know the meaning of customer or service! Im being nice here, what I really want to say is not so PG! Criminals!
Hello, I booked a round-trip ticket from London to Albuquerque this morning. I received two emails from Faregeek: One that states a flight reservation number and another that states an airline confirmation number and then a different flight reservation number. Although I received these two emails, it seems I'm still waiting for my e-tickets. Please advise. Thank you!
The website advertised a certain price and the confirmation I received after making the booking matches this price; however, after checking my bank account, I realised I was charged more than this. I've never had this happen to me when making a booking. Please advise.
One of the most appalling experiences I've ever had with an online company.
I booked a flight which was cancelled without any notice - then I was sent 3 separate customers credit card details by email by mistake.
I can only assume it also happened to me too, because shortly after using them I found fraudulent transactions on my card appear.
Avoid this site - go to orbitz.com, flightcenter.com (they'll price match any flight you find), expedia.com or any other site aggregator instead.
