“Cheap airfare deals”

Joanne R.

International air tickets are generally costly, so when you have a site like this it becomes fairly easy for you to travel. I have used their services numerous times and every time I was blessed with cheap airfare deals.

“HORRIBLE COMPANY”

Lil O.

I booked my flight on Saturday, February 21 and got an immediate confirmation stating my flight was confirmed. After 10 mins, I get a follow up email stating there was a credit card mismatch. I tried calling them several times for the next 48 hours, waiting from 30 minutes to 1 hr and still could not get a hold of a customer service representative. Someone finally emails me stating the flight increased from $765 to $815. I told them that I will only authorize a payment with the original booking price and I haven't heard from them yet.

Planning a Paris tour isnt easy. There are costs to incur. Even though I was planning for a solo Paris tour, it wasnt coming that easy for me. Luckily, my cousin recommended me this website where I received the tickets at a cheap price and that helped me plan my tour in a much better. I am happy to have encountered this website. The deals are good.

Purchased a ticket, bottom line. The system gave me a price, and then when charge card came, there was a charge for $5.00 additional dollars. It is the principle... i called, the first time, they wanted to give me a coupon for 10.00, i said no, they hung up on me. Called back, again tried to give me a coupon, 3rd time they gave me some line of how after i bought the ticket, the tax and fees went up. So they charged me the $5.00. This is on a separate charge of the 5.00 so you may not notice it. I am now on hold and this is my 6th time calling them. I will not give them my account number again, who knows what else they might charge? I am having them mail me a check, 7-14 business days. Lets see if i get it. And this was illegal

I was planning for a budget-tour to France. So I was searching for cheap flights to France on the internet when I came across this website and decided to give it a try. To my surprise the rates were less than the rest.

I booked my tickets for my tour to Egypt from this website. The tickets were cheap considering I purchased them 20 days before my tour date. I am thinking of recommending this website to my friends and relatives.

I have purchased Aeroflot ticket using their website. I called to Aeroflot to cancel return ticket. I have talked to 3 different agents, very professional people, every single agent confirmed that under Aeroflot rules you can cancel your unused ticket, airfare is non-refundable but all taxes and fees are fully refundable, but in order to receive that refund I have to contact directly FareGeek. I have been told by 3 different agents (Kevin 1172, Druw 0198, and 3rd one hang up on me without giving me his info) that neither airfare nor taxes and fees are refundable by Aeroflot rules, and that is not true. Aeroflot told me that thats might be their own policy but they don't wanna disclose it. Anyway, this was the last time I have purchased ticket from those idiots, and unfortunately I have already purchased 3 tickets from them. I will try to dispute this transaction with my credit card company. I will not let this low class company, operated by agents from India steal my money.

I found a flight on Skyscanner, and was redirected to FareGeek. Made the booking and promptly received an email with an air reservation (PNR) number and "confirmed" booking status. 10 days later I received an email stating "Your flight was successfully cancelled" - booking status: Cancelled! I got on the phone and after 30 min on hold reached an agent. The guy stated the fare had changed by the time they attempted to ticket with the airlines. He insisted emails were sent on 2 occasions to notify me... b. s., the only email I received was the confirmation followed by the cancellation notice. I spoke with the "supervisor" and his resolution was to rebook another date at higher fare.

A 10 second search on Google for "FareGeek reviews" would have saved me hours of grief and the extra $$$ to rebook the long haul flight on short notice.

Tip for consumers:
Check that the agency you book with is accredited (IATA)....and don't book with FareGeek!

Booked a first class combination business class ticket to Vietnam and their lying salesman Roderick said my e-ticket would be sent in 2 hrs. I e-mailed and finally received my e-ticket 5 days later! I called the airline about 5 days later to see if I could reserve a certain first class seat number and the airline told me that they don't have a first class, only business class and I gave them my e-ticket number and he said that was for premium economy? I did not respond directly to them, but called my credit card company and let them call them and be on a 3 way conversation. They tried to say I owed them 200 dollars to cancel the ticket and then called again and said I should share the cost of the cancelation? I filed a dispute with my credit card last week and they have already re-credited my account. Buyer beware!

I've heard of some people where everything goes perfectly. If you are willing to take the risk, go ahead, but personally I will never order through FareGeek again, probably reduced my life on this planet by stressing so much about it! Ticket wasn't sent when ticket was booked and was told to fill out a credit card authorization form. Never heard of such a thing! They called that they couldn't issue the ticket (even though they had all credit card info they needed for it) wanted details that they wouldn't need, very weird. Therefore tried to cancel ticket and guy got very defensive and rude. Luckily we were finally able to cancel the ticket without any charge.

This is the third time I was using this website to get my air tickets. Last two times were my
Journey to India and Singapore, which was kind of okay. This time when I purchased my ticket to Dubai I got a better discount than last time.

Worst experience ever. My credit card number was stolen shortly after using this site. The flight times changed and nobody communicated it to me. I had to completely rebook my travel directly with the airline. I urge you to NOT to use this site. It is not worth it.

I booked my ticket and it was confirmed and ticketed within 3 hrs after my booking. Then I came across this review online the next day, was terrified that my booking would be phony, so I called the airlines and everything went well, my tickets are booked and price was unbeatable compared to what I get from my travel agent. Loving it and looking fwd to using it more later on. Transaction was easy and smooth.

Mechanical delay forced us to cancel a flight. Rebooked another flight through fareggek. They assured us we would get a refund on the first flight since we cancelled before takeoff. We argued with them several times. Each time, they said the person that sold us the tickets no longer worked there, they had no record of the reservation number, even though we had e mails from them with the reservation number on it. They would request the e mails be sent to them. This went on for 3 times. We got ripped off. They never refunded the money on the unused tickets. The airlines will not talk to you because they can see it was booked through an agent. Faregeek is a rip off. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Like many others, I never thought to check reviews before buying through the site. I was directed there by Skyscanner and wrongly figured that once I had a ticket, I'd be dealing with the airline thereafter. I ended up needing to cancel my ticket due to medical reasons. I knew the tickets are non- refundable, but my trip insurance required that the reservation actually be canceled before the departure time. I tried for a week to get in touch with FareGeek, via phone and through their website 'contact us' page. No response, ever. Phone always went to voicemail. The day before my scheduled departure, I sent a regular email and just kept repeatedly re-dialing their number. Someone finally answered, but very unprofessionally, and kept telling me there are no refunds (I already told him I was aware of that). He then tells me I was required to email them (which I already had). Several hours later they finally canceled my ticket.

I had booked on Faregeek and then read the reviews, I was very nervous. But within a couple of hours I had received the confirmation email and was able to go on to Air Canadas website and confirm the reservation. I think more people are apt to complain then post if they've had a good experience.

You'll regret the moment you book with them, you will get scammed. I was told by the airline my flight was never booked with the airline and after calling FareGeek they told me it was cancelled by the passenger. What! They are full of lies, I never cancelled. Run, run far away from them. Why did I not read the reviews before booking...

I used their services last year to go back to my home country and I have to say that I was pleased with the service. I've paid the cheapest price for an air ticket to my country and I hadn't any problem at all from the moment I bought it online until I got in my country. I would totally use FareGeek services again.

Booked a flight through here, got the confirmation email. The next day got an email saying my credit card was declined. A week later they sent me a successfully canceled email. We called the airlines & they had said whoever booked it through faregeek canceled my flight with my credit card info and took the money.

I bought a very cheap ticket to China via FareGeek. Never heard of them before. After I bought the ticket, I searched on them and got worried reading all the comments. I called them and mentioned my concerns. The rep assured me it's fine. I do need to fax an authorization paper since it's a one-way ticket. Then I called the airlines and told them that they need my authorization if the ticket status is changed. To my pleasant surprise, the ticke is good and my mom went back to China no problem using the ticket. Maybe it's because I called?

I found a ticket on FareGreek for a flight with Lufthansa, that this flight is not available on Lufthansa website! I'm full of doubt if I should book it or not?! How can be possible that they offer a flight that the return flight is no longer available on official Lufthansa website?

I actually used Wego.com to find the ticket with faregeek.com. A friend of mine recommended Wego.com so I tried it and found a great ticket one-way from ORD (Chicago O'Hare) - BKK (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) for $688 on Cathay Pacific! Within 9 hours I received a "Ticketed" confirmation email from Wego on behalf of faregeek.com. I'm totally happy about this choice as I was a bit skeptical from all of the poor reviews. Give it a try, it worked for me.

Tip for consumers:
use Wego.com which will link you to faregeek.com.

My boyfriend just went through a similar experience based on what I read below. He booked tickets on faregeek.com via skyscanner.com. He received a confirmation email and then his bank called to confirm that he wanted to authorize the purchase. He agreed, and we waited for our tickets. Two days later, faregeek.com called to say the purchase wasn't authorized, and the price was going to be higher now. My bf called the bank again, while I checked out this wonderful website. The bank confirmed that all had been ok-ed 2 days ago, and when my boyfriend called faregeek.com Back for the 3rd time, the guy, Nick, now said that "Aeromexico has cancelled the flight." At this point I am waving my computer and telling my boyfriend to get ahold of the bank a. S.a. P... which he did, and cancelled his card. THANK YOU to all who have posted before this and to SiteJabber.:-)

Booked my flight. They sent me a confirmation with the itinerary. I tried to confirm with the airlines the ticket was booked through and was told that the ticket was not confirmed by Faregeek. Called Faregeek, they told me that they had sent me an email to verify the credit card. Never received the verification email but I did receive the itenarary. So they had the right email but lied to me.

I would not recommend them to anyone. Very very poor customer service and a lot of gimmick, not only that but faregeek employs a bunch of lying, and rude thugs. This is a company thats going to have a huge lawsuit just waiting to happen, and I hope its sooner than later.
