My experience with Freelancer has been highly positive. It offers a vast platform connecting clients with skilled professionals globally. Navigating the site is straightforward, and its bidding system is efficient. The diverse range of projects available provides excellent opportunities, although competition can be intense. Overall, it's a valuable resource for freelancers.
I'm glad that they have a fast and reliable support that can connect with you as quick as they can. All the questions have been answered well and they even gave some good advices to know what the do's and don'ts on getting a project. It's sad to know that there are employers who would take advantage to the new freelancers but good thing there is a support that can help you right away. Really appreciate it. 2 Thumbs up. 5 Star
I received assistance from the Freelancer staff regarding profile verification. Thanks to Miss/Madam Russell V.'s efficient service, I'm genuinely thankful for her prompt and intelligent approach during the verification process. My experience with freelancer team member Russell V. was truly positive. Once again Thank you.
I have been suffering from this problem for the last three months. They can't solve anyone. They're just saying the same thing over and over again, "We are still waiting for our relevant team's update regarding your concern."
They sometimes call me via another Name and say the same thing to me in someone else's name. So it is understood that they are giving the same message to everyone which is "We are still waiting for our relevant team's update regarding your concern.".
Another issue is that my time tracker shows my dashboard in less time than I did. To solve this, one of the supporters said that I should talk to the client and add time manually.
Which is very ridiculous and confusing..
I got charged automatically from your site and I wanted to get refund so I visited your site and was wondering what I should do.
With chatting system I started chatting with assistance Oscar. J who is responding so fast and gentle.
Actually I didn't expect that I could got response as quick as I had
However Oscar. J was responded so kindly and helpfully
Furthermore he asked me further questions whether I want to get money back to my debit card or just remain it on my freelancer account!
Really convenient with your service manner and system from him(or her?)!
It was nice talking to Russell V. We have discussed my experience and skills, and how they can help clients on the freelancer platform. Received valuable guidance from Russell V. Thanks for your time. Highly recommended.
Andrei M helped me with my refund request. This person was kind and helpful. The only thing she missed was to indicate how many hours, days or weeks Ive to wait to get the money refunded to mu card. But other than that all okay
I am from Ukraine. I work here from home since 2015. The best place to earn as a graphic designer I think. Lots of job, safety system of payments, constant high earnings, very helpful support, awesome customers from all over the world. I wish good luck on the platform to both customers and freelancers!

Pooja
Could not find guidance on closing an unsuccessful contest on the website. This agent resolved the issue quickly and efficiently
I explained my concerns related to project fees and the representative quickly got my concern resolved with courtesy and politeness.
Interaction with Russell V. for verified status call was very professional and informative.
So freaking slow. Can't do anything. Clicking links doesn't work. Pages take minutes to load. Same page comes up several times even though you click different links/pages... Scriptlance. How could you sell out?
I use Freelancer all the time. But I always regret it. Sure, it's great for finding someone when you need something very urgently done. But in general, you have these auto bidders that just pop up on every project. The same people. People who clearly do not have the skills you are looking for! It's just an annoying site that has so many issues, I don; t know where to begin. Nevertheless, I've managed to find some of my best workers there, but quickly pulled them away from Freelancer, because it's nearly impossible to manage workers though that platform.
The bottom line is this, it's like fishing. Throw in you hook, and you have a very low percentage of returning something significant. Do it enough times, and you'll hit gold. After creating a million projects, I've managed to pick out some goodies and keep em.
Having only joined Freelancer in August, I am still a little green around the gills.:-)
However, the Support Team at Freelancer has always been massively helpful with all my difficulties so far.
Prompt & informative. Thank you
They charged me $10 for two tests, that were very poorly written, and in doing so debited one of my accounts. Later, they blocked me for security reasons to verify my identity, even though they had taken money from my account for worthless exams? 15 day hold on first withdrawal, and will not allow more than one withdrawal to be processed at same time. 10% take up front, whether client pays or not. Convoluted site. Just avoid them. It is no accident that there are scores of one star reviews here.
Just wanted to make one deposit for my first project awarded, it then proceeded to take 3 payments! Don't use this site, they will use your paypal and credit card like their own personal bank account. UNSAFE!
It's been nice working on freelancer.com from last 2 years. Fantastic customer support. A clean system with fab features. Easy to understand and you can earn well if you got the skills. Give it a try.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
