These are professional money swindlers! Stay away! Just got ripped off of 400 USD in hidden fees, so-called litigation suits, and fictitious services rendered. The make it look well done and get busy deducting money from your account at every turn without proper warning. If they were a physical business they would have closed by now. Sad to see this site grow so crooked.
Kevin R. From Support has sorted out an issue in minutes that I was going out in circles with, regarding setting up a project. Powerful set of features on this portal, but for us new folks, it helps when there is people about to take a look. Cheers and good work.
My client paid them but they are using his unfinished or incomplete account as a way to refuse to pay me. Each specific request for details is answered without the requested detail. This company i hope fails soon, we do not need this type of financial slavery
Hi, Jan. Can you send me the full details of your concern so I can check this? Feel free to send me an email at larao@freelancer.com and be assured that me and my team will help you. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I appreciate his sincere support.
He accomplished complex and difficult processing for helping me resolve my issues.
Admirable to his patience.
Also cool help in supporting.
When anyone contacts him, full rewards will be got from him.
Someone signed up using my email address. Freelancer.com can't figure this out. The "verify your email address" message means nothing. I did not verify, but I'm still getting so many messages. Their support team is baffled and can't comprehend how to possibly correct this. I'd hate to see how they handle a complex issue.
I asked about the option to award someone the project but still get new bids from other freelancers. Josie G told me this was not yet possible and that she would pass it on so they can importance this aspect. Hope you do it soon ;)
Chelsea navigated my interview process with ease and expertise, making sure that I was prepared for what came next. She explained all of the details about being a verified freelancer on Freelancer so there are no surprises when it comes time to serve clients!
Professional, kind, fast. Very well assisted.
Four stars only because I think it'll be good to have an Italian-speaking assistance. An Italian freelance offering content in Italian not speaking English cannot use your interesting services...
Thank you
Beware of freelancer. They use all the below mentioned tactics to freeze money they're not entitled to. I'd give details, but now I'm scared of having my account closed and as a full-time freelance web-designer, I can't take that risk.
Hi, Thomas. This is Lara and I'm from Freelancer.com. Funds are held with legit reasons, not just for the sake of it. If you are having issues with your account right now, let me know so I can check and seek ways on how I can help you. Just send me an email at larao@freelancer.com and I will check it for you. Take care!
I'm considering leaving this site. Their membership rates got higher recently and at the same time they haven't published my service since 2 months explaining that it's due to technical service. Seriously?! How much time does it take?! Not mentioning commissions they take for literally everything! This is so unfair and unprofessional Freelancer.com! Instead of attracting people you simply make them leave.
Hello Katarzyna. I would like to assist you in this matter and I hope to get an email from you. Please send your message at savannahg@freelancer.com. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
Alexander Lewis at Freelancer is one of the Best Support agent i ever Communicated with. Provides solution to my problem within No-Time... Very helpful... Highly Recommended to use his / her services.
The best support i have ever received from any site. He was so responsive and solved the issues on then nd there.
He has sense of approaching an individual and skill to explain things. He convinced me with just one logical msg.
Keep It Up. Thanks a lot.
I had some issues several times related to payment and working with developer since he is not responsible for work. I don't hesitate to contact support then they always do good job. In a word, miracle worker!
I had to face an account infraction because some imposter reported one of my winning entries as a copied work. I took it up with the Support team and shared relevant proof. Within no time, the ban was withheld.
I'd like to preface this with freelancer will do what it can to trap you on its site. However I had amazing service from a woman named Heather R. And she was able to fix everything. So, if you have any issues you should contact through live chat
This is definitely a great site for freelancers. Of course there are some scam and prank projects. But overall much better than other similar websites like Upwork. The site has a very nice support system.
The website contains good content, but there are some frauds that ur platform should take care by introducing any system to not allow them to post any project which is fake.
I had a bitter experience with freelancer, but it's ok
Freelancer.com is the best platform of its category. I just had a small matter and they took no time in finding me a support agent who guided and help me through everything. Excellent site. It provides opportunities for everyone. I have to withdraw my funds yet but so far, it has been smooth.
I have read each and every response. While at first I just figured a lot of people were disgruntled or since their grasp on the English language was not 100% there was just individual errors. Then I kept reading. WOW! Thank you so much to all of you. Has anyone else noticed that when "Marcus C." Responds to a review it is one of two exactly the same canned responses? If that does not scream scam, nothing will

Hello, I just wanted to send all compliments to your employee Judith J, who has helped me in a way I cant describe simply with rating 10 stars. She went beyond my expectations, showed genuine interest, I felt I was heard, and not to mention the issue has been solved. You are happy to have such an asset to your team! It is people like this who make customers come back.
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
