I booked a hotel to coincide with a jazz festival and my 32nd wedding anniversary. Unfortunate my nephew passed form cancer. The funeral is being held during the time I booked the vacation. The small print on the reservation said NO REFUND. I had no luck with Affirm who paid the amt in full. Finally, when i reached out to geta room, I was treated with compassion and respect and within 24 hours Affirm received a refund and I am no longer on the hook for this. They did what affirm did not do in a week in 24hrs, Affirm even asked me to send in a copy of the obituary! When I called the next day, they said they did not ask for it. GETAROOM solved my problem. Bait and switch reservation website. Horrible to non-existent customer service - they are trained and scripted to give you the run around. They always can not find your reservation, can not confirm your identity, will provide a new number for you to call next, and will promise to get back to you in 24-48 hours and never do. Wave goodbye to your $ if you book with them.
Once my reservation was made, I needed to drop one night, still within the free changes guidelines. However, they told me I would have to cancel the whole reservation and make a new one with the new number of nights. Problem was, the rates had gone up significantly and they wouldn't give me the old rate. When the new reservation was supposedly made (after 2 hours on the phone with them), I called the hotel myself to make sure it was right. It was not. They had only secured one night of the four I needed. Did I mention this was for my daughter's wedding! What a nightmare! They are not dependable.

I feel I have been totally scammed by this company. Canceled a room within minutes. Read 2-3 business days for refund. Not received. Called a rep said 3-5 business days or contact them. Called the 5th day and a new rep said 30 days. Still have not seen my refund. Completely unacceptable. This company is very suspicious. Would never recommend.

Get a room agency is a very deceptive, I canceled my reservation within a half a hour of booking it, the didn't give back a refund, their non refund policy states "Each room in this reservation is subject to the hotel's cancellation policy which is: This reservation is non-refundable. There is no refund for no-shows or early checkouts". Doesn't state if cancel, I cancel very soon after making reservation, I am very upset and hope this review helps anyone, I'll never use this agency again. Update: get a room finally refunded my money however will think twice before I book next time, the problem is the cancellation policy...

From the entry into the hotel to our spacious room, everything was first class. Gary who signed us in to Steve who signed us out we're grade A. Food was delicious, and rooftop pool and bar were amazing overlooking the Gulf.

My wife was trying book a room-on line while we were driving, however the internet reception was poor so we tried dialing 3 numbers and got through... we thought it was the Hilton site.
To our surprise when we received the email confirmation it was getaroom.com. When we arrived at our hotel we found that the tax and recovery charges exceeded the posted room rate nearly 40 dollars. The Hotel basically said that Getaroom.com was a third party and they had nothing to do with it. After contacting Getaroom's CS dept. the mix up was corrected to my satisfaction. The original pricing was reduced over $60 and was further discounted. The key is voice your concerns and to interact with the company's CS dept.
Made reservations at hotel for one night when our plane arrived and for another night when we had an early departure a week later. I was given one information number and told both nights were reserved. Upon checking since I had only one confirmation number, I found the reservation for our departure date only even though the charge went through for the arrival date. Called and had to start the process again for the arrival date. So I was frustrated, but ultimately the issue was resolved. Would I use this service again? Probably would.
Unhappy with the support when I had questions about my reservation. The agent just told me that I have to call the hotel. It seems like getaroom is just a booking engine and not in position to support questions about the reservation. I hope I don't have any issues with my reservation when I try to check in because I doubt getaroom will try to help.

The agent only booked me one night when I specifically asked for two; only upon me reading over the confirmation and being proactive did I manage to get it fixed, else I would've been S. O. L. When I get to the hotel. And by "fixed," I mean that the whole transaction had to be canceled and started over, so the whole ordeal took over an hour. Oh, and the room rates had risen by $30 between my first call and my second call. The new agent said there was "nothing that they could do" to get my original rate back. It was almost comical. If I ran this company, I would be embarrassed.
Customer service reps were unable to assist me on two separate phone calls. I was attempting to upgrade my room for an upcoming reservation. They both said that there was no availability for the upgraded suite on the dates I was looking at. I was able to book the upgraded suite through the website without an issue.
The system that the service reps use is clearly not in sync with your website. I was able to do what I needed to do through the website in a matter of minutes. I was on the phone with two separate customer service reps for 30 minutes trying to upgrade my room. They were unable to complete my request on both phone calls.

Worst service I have ever received. They never found my reservation, I never used it and now priceline customer service says I did use it, I do not appreciate being called a liar. Do you yourself a favor and book through another service. You have been warned

I reserved a room on this website, then found a cheaper price by $62 on the hotels site(same room). Getaroom would not price match as promised on their website. Very disappointed and will not be back!
I booked a last minute business trip and had to cancel due to client. I also thought i had booked through the Hyatt website. When i opened email to call i noticed the hotel itself was $897 for 3 nights, and the "service fee"... was $547 extra which i never noticed or saw during booking... when i called to try to cancel, was put on hold while they "called the hotel". And of course said they could offer no help as the cancellation wasn't 2 weeks out. I had booked the day before. Was told they had spoken to the manager of the hotel, when i called the hotel to follow up, i was informed there was no one by that name working there. I've been in the hotel business over 30 years and will make sure to tell every owner, dos, gm, and business traveler to stay away... i was finally charged well over $500 to cancel... be careful when you book...

My first attempt: Niles MI instead of Niles IL was booked. Money will be refunded in 6 weeks. Second attempt: 1 guest instead of 2. Money will be refunded in 6 weeks. An agent plainly lied on record saying that

I called to get the online price and the representative said yes they had that room so I told him I wanted to book 3 and he gave me more expensive rooms that I could not afford. They said they cancelled them and they didn't and haven't returned my money

I paid for a two night stay at the Sierra in Mammoth Lakes. Upon calling the hotel to confirm my room they informed me the site overbooked and would have to take responsibility for finding me a new room. I am not hearing back from the booking agent.
The customer service representative worked hard to fin me the type of reservation I wanted. And walked me through the cancellation policy which was important to me due to potential need to cancel at last minute.
The room was available for $122 but when I checked out it had gone up $20. Everything said my card would be charged when I get there and free cancellation fee. My card has been charged and my trip is still weeks away. I feel I've been scammed.
I booked a room for for $159.00 and the end price was $351.00. When I wanted to cancel 45 days ahead of check in date they charged me $241.00 to cancel and refunded me $103.00. I tried to change the check in date instead of cancelling and they told me because the reservation was already paid for they could not accommodate that. Horrible business!

We've requested a room for 2 adults and 3 children. They was supposed to be a sofa that a child could sleep on. They said they couldn't even put up a coat. One child slept on the floor. They did offer an up-stairs room but we needed handicapped.
I booked a room through this website and after I did I read all the horrible reviews. My trip was schedule for Mexico so I was real nervous about this. I contacted getaroom.com and expressed my concerns with them. I then told them I wanted a confirmation number through the resort I was actually staying at and not just getaroom.com conformation number. I had the customer service call the resort and get me a confirmation number, which she did. A couple days later I called the resort and gave them my confirmation number. The number was legit. I also verified the confirmation a couple days before I left... still legit. I arrived in mexico and had no problems at all. In fact, the resort upgraded me (at no cost) to the penthouse suite on the ocean. By far the BEST deal I have ever had and I travel multiple times a year.
I have no idea how I went from the hotel website to get ROOM.COM. However, I ended up being charged with a NON-REFUNDABLE hotel room with a 40% service charge. At no time, was I aware that this was not the hotel's site. I am on with them now, and they are calling the hotel to see if they would allow me out of the reservation IF not, it is cancelled anyways and I have to pay the whole amount. Dishonest, criminal, how do these people look at themselves in the mirror? I have been waiting for a supervisor for 15 minutes.

Good Afternoon
I have an event plan and made reservation for a couple individuals who suppose to be staying at Whydam Rockville center New York. Because of the Covid 19 the Hotel where the event was taking place close, also all individuals that was reserved with CCI Hotel.com has to cancel $1300 in reservations. CCI Hotel refuses to give us a refund stating that the reservation is not qualified for a refund. My credit card company file a complaint in an effort to retrieve the funds back, they told them the reservation is not qualify for refund. I continue to call now they are telling me that because my credit card company file a complaint I am not I cannot get back a refund. These people needs to be put out of business immediately. What they are doing is high way robbery and the hotel needs to be accountable as well.

They claim to represent Hotels. They are not affiliated with major hotels. Do not give them your credit card. I booked with them, they said they were will Double Tree Bakersfield. When I called the hotel, I had NO ROOMS!

Very helpful and patient in helping me find a room in San Jose where everything was sold out. Eventually, he found a room at the Best Western and although the price was crazy at $470/night (because of the high demand) it was a nice room.
