This Guest review charged me for a room, tried to get in early and wasn't able no rooms ready. Called them back for a refund before regular check in and they wouldn't refund it. Even when you explain everything to them and don't use there service they don't refund your money. Recommend calling the hotel direct and not using this company..
Do not book through these people - was quoting £56 on website when the transaction went through it was £87 due to tax. Telephoned them - spoke to someone I could hardly understand what they were saying - trying to get money back through credit card - I have only given this one star because the review wouldn't upload without it - but it reality it's a big zero from me
Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with! We made a reservation through their website and after clicking the reserve room button, the dates changed from the requested dates to today's date. We noticed and cancelled the reservation and were charged the full amount as a cancellation fee. I phoned their customer support and got absolutely nowhere. They said that, as per the hotels policy, they couldn't offer a refund. I then rang the hotel and they said that they would happily issue a refund, so it was up to Guest Reservations. They just kept on reading the same refund policy statement and wouldn't listen to what I was saying. I was eventually offered a £6.88 refund, which was ridiculous. I am currently (still) waiting for the line manager to call me back. Avoid at all costs!
Update*-as you will see, they reach out and ask you to send them a message to get it sorted so it looks like they care. They don't reply to the message and just make it look like you might be listened to or get a refund, fraudulent scammers
How on earth are these people still in business with the same repeated complaints, they add on preposterous hidden charges (£23.00) making it by far the most expensive booking method online, absolutely disgusted despite the fact I will be charging this booking/trip to HMRC for businesses purposes.
Unbelievable and I feel for those who are personally out of pocket, a complete scumbag company, I will complain strongly to the hotel chain who allow themselves to be represented by this scum.
Guest Reservations marked up my room over $60 more than my sister in law that book a room directly with the hotel the same day. Then when we were both not able to make it my SIL canceled 3 days before through Hilton but Guest Reservations took my money and ran! They were rude and kept interrupting me. The hotel's policy is you may cancel within 48 hours of your reservation. This third party company is going to pocket the full amount of my room and not have to pay the hotel. Wrong in so many ways.
Hi Bobbi, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
DO NOT EVER use this company. I was looking for a cheap room today 2/11/22 and found one through Guest Reservations which said " jackpot special ". It said $156.40. I filled out the credit card information and pressed BOOK. To my surprise my credit card was charged $240.33. A charge of $83.93 was listed as tax recovery charges and service fees. I quickly called customer service and got some guy with an Indian accent who said the resevstion was non refunslam and this was listed in thier 30 plus pages of fine print. This is unethical and a scam. Let the buyer beware.
Hi Paul, Guest Reservations must charge for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee we are able to offer 24/7 support & operate as an independent travel network. Please DM your reservation # and email. We will reach out to help.
50% more expensive than booking directly. No benefit of booking with Guest Reservations. If it wasn't nonrefundable, I would have canceled and booked directly.
Hi Josh, your satisfaction as a customer is of utmost importance to us, and we are committed to resolving the issue. Please contact our customer support team at customercare@guestreservations.com to help resolve your concern. Thank you.
I accidentally booked through Guest Reservations because they came up as a "sponsored" link, first in my search, when I searched for the hotel website to book. The website it took me to mimicked the hotel's website and I believed I was booking directly with the hotel. The site quoted me a price, took my card info, and then charged me a 50% "service" fee on top of the quoted price--which was not disclosed before I put in my card information. They tell you the reservation is not refundable (even immediately after booking). I paid $237 for a $134 room. DO NOT USE this website and watch out for the works "guest reservations" at the top of the page if you think you are booking direct.

I was a bit hesitant to use guest reservations because I thought the deal was maybe too good to be true. My husband and I stayed at a beautiful resort in Palm Desert at a whopping 50% off what the resort was looking to charge. I was blown away how much money we saved and what a wonderful trip it was. I will definitely be using guest reservations for all my vacations in the future. Couldn't recommend more!
Absolutely DO NOT USE this website for your hotel reservations! It is a scam with unusually high fees that you find out after you have booked your reservation. When I called customer service they actually took pleasure in charging me $50 over the advertised prices for Fees. Said I could cancel but would still be charged full prices. Blamed me for not reading the terms and conditions thoroughly. DO NOT USE it is a scam!
I recently made the mistake of booking through this site and paid $150 more than if I would have called the hotel directly. Not only was I charged by this "business" I was also charged by the hotel and now I am disputing both charges through my credit card company. This company is completely unethical, do not book through them or use any of their services.
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! They pose as British and advertise hotel and prices in UK pounds at a lower price. When you come to pay and have entered card details you get no booking summary, instead the money is taken automatically. The confirmation then shows a price much higher. For example, the price shown was £54 but the amount I was charged was £71.79. The site appears to be American and the extra charge they say is for "Tax Recovery Charges and Service Fees".
I have contacted my card company and cancelled my card. Do not trust this company.
I made a reservation for a Best Western Hotel through this website. When I went back to try and modify it they said they couldn't modify my reservation and that my only option was to cancel the whole reservation and I would have to pay the full amount even though I was trying to modify this four days ahead of time. They said they have no 24 hour cancellation policy, once you've paid you're stuck with paying the full amount even if you want to modify the nights that you've booked. This is total BS.
This site should be avoided at all cost. Pretends to be the legitimate hotel and gives you a price, once you have paid they have added another fee and bumped up the cost with no prior warning. It is a con and should be closed down.
Please don't trust this company with your money. My flight was canceled due to a storm the airline willing gave me a refund. This company denied a refund of $245.00, and simply said the hotel did not agree. This was false. The manager at the hotel tried to speak with the supervisor from the Guest reservation and they refused. It's very difficult to speak with a live person, and the representatives are not helpful. Book through the hotel of your choice without using this third party service
Dawanda, we’re sorry you had that experience. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we would like to help. To keep your information secure, please DM us your reservation # and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
GuestReservations.com spoofs the name of a hotel you are interested in and dangles a low price for the room. Then after you enter all your info they spring a ridiculously high "tax recovery fee, about 40%, and make it sound legit. So you wind up paying much more than if you had really booked directly with the hotel as you thought you were doing.
This company is a major money grab scam. When you book your room it looks as though you are booking directly with the hotel. Then you will get a confirmation # from them which is not the hotel's confirmation number. They will take the money from your credit card and pay for it with their own account so you cant cancel through the hotel. They do book the room but add about 40% of the room cost to your bill. I booked a $115 room and they added $48 to the cost! I called them and they told me I could not cancel the reservation. These people are a scam!
We booked an hour before we arrived. Thought I was on IHG website for Holiday Inn Express. Found out later I was not. Booked walk in shower for handicap purposes. Beautiful shower photo. Got to hotel. Entered room and found it was a bathtub shower. Went to front desk. They changed our room to walk-in. Walk-in was nothing as it appeared on the website. Dated. Floor outside shower was wet from dripping plumbing. Found leakage coming from shower head or hand-held. Went to front desk. Manager came down to look at. Said would be back with tools. She came back and could not fix. Did we want a plumber to come that night. By this time it was 5-6:00 PM. We were tired and did not want the hassell. I asked if she would just comp the room charge. She said she would. Went to front desk next morning to ask for $0 balance receipt. Found out manager will need to contact the "third party" we booked through and get a credit and then she can credit our card. Have received no email (as I was told that would happen when transaction was complete) or phone call to date. I had left all contact information on a notepad as instructed by the front desk person that morning. Disappointed. As we have had pretty good stays at Holiday Inn Express. IHG might want to look into this.
Copied from my credit card statement. I did not receive an invoice.

I honestly believed I was on the hotel I googled website, but I didnt make a reservation initially. 24 hours later I went back via the link in the email I received. This third party booking site had no name recognition with me so I mistaken assumed the email was from the hotel. I dont think they did anything illegal but the way they conduct business is shady. Luckily this mistake wasnt too costly but I figured I would join the crowd of people who advise against using this site intentionally, and to look closely at the url before booking at what you think is the hotels site. Or you may get hit with a bigger sticker shock than you intended. There are plenty of more reputable 3rd party sites that dont resort to these gray area tricks to make a sale.
Wow it was amazing experience staff/manager was so friendly, room was so clean and quite, everything was perfect no complain worth staying would recommend to my family & friends For the price you really can't beat it. My room was clean, spacious, and cheap. The beds were comfortable, and the room (including the bathroom) was spotless. It definitely exceeded my expectations, and the owner was very kind
