I (accidentally) booked accommodation in Bali via Guest Reservations, mistaking the site for the hotel's official website due to its appearance. I had previously seen a significantly cheaper offer on booking. Com. The booking process on Guest Reservations was extremely misleading: The pricing shown on the site only listed the price per night, without clearly indicating this—especially not in the context of the total booking duration (3 nights). There was no clear breakdown of the total cost before completing the booking, which I find highly unprofessional. Only when reviewing the credit card charges did it become apparent that the total price was more than three times higher than expected, including hidden fees and so-called "service charges." Unfortunately, we had selected the wrong dates and made a mistake with the travel period. I then contacted the hotel directly, which responded very generously. They confirmed that they would not charge any cancellation fees and that Guest Reservations, acting as a travel agent, could cancel the booking free of charge. However, Guest Reservations initially refused and falsely claimed that the hotel would not authorize a refund—an outright lie. While customer service responded fairly quickly at first, communication suddenly stopped after a few follow-up emails. I've now been waiting over 10 days for a response regarding my refund—despite multiple emails—and I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated. The entire experience feels like a deliberately opaque business model based on misleading customers. Anyone not paying close attention could easily end up paying three to four times the original price—due to hidden fees, a lack of transparency, and unreachable customer service. My conclusion: Never again Guest Reservations. I strongly advise against booking through this site. I have now contacted the consumer protection agency and will consider legal action if no refund is issued.
I know it's my fault just for being confident, and avoid reading all the terms and conditions
But a 30% service fee is IMHO absolutly out of market; I'll never use this company again

Booked this hotel specifically because it has a rooftop bar.We were banned because of a "private event."We were not notified of this when we booked or I would not have booked!we were not the only ones upset.Also when we tried to go to rooftop bar we were rudely told that we were not allowed.will never book this hotel again

They will show you one price before asking you to confirm with your credit card and then charge you almost a third more in fees once you confirm. So you have no way to cancel the transaction. They then make it super hard to contact them.

We were at the hotel for about a couple of hours and left. The suite were were assigned was extremely run down: walls torn, bathroom awful, couch full of stains, towels stained too. The worst experience of our lives. Wish I could rate in negative numbers. It is outrageous to sell this hotel as four stars.

Hi! I've stayed in many's hotel before, but have never left a negative review (even when things were less than ideal)
I l've stayed at the hotel Millennium Maxwell Nashville, I booked my vacation for 3 nights.
The night that I arrived They put me in a room and they were cockroaches all over the room, on the bed, on top of the toilet, on the walls, in the bathtub and also on the coffee maker, after I informed the receptionist at the hotel about the cockroaches, he put me in a different room that was even worse than the first one, full or nasty cockroaches everywhere. I when back to the reception and they put me in a 3er room that it was better than the 2 first one, but still were cockroaches everywhere.
I asked the receptionist to cancel my night stay because of the issue and he totally say not.
To be honest this Nasty-Nightmare hotel should be closed by the department of health. They are plenty cockroaches all over the building.

I would have given 0 stars, but that is not an option. I made a reservation through this site, for a Canadian hotel. When I price checked against other sites, this one had the same pricing, or so I thought. Expedia listed the reservation for $139 all in, as did Guest Reservations, for a non-refundable, one night stay. However, it was not until I was billed for the reservation, through PayPal that I discovered that the price on Guest Reservations is actually in USD! I called their customer service line, only to be told that, sorry, it's non-refundable and that there was nothing they could do. I called the hotel directly, and they said that sorry, you have to deal with Guest Reservations. I should have went with Expedia. I'll know for next time...

Unfortunately made a booking through the platform which advertised breakfast, wifi and shuttle. When the confirmation received, shuttle was not included amongst other things. Stayed on the line for customer service for over 2 hours, and called multiple times, only to be able to be assisted by the Sales team who do not have the tools to view or change any bookings. Strongly advise to stay away, save yourself the hassle and book directly with hotel or other reputable platforms.

After you add in all your details. The payment transaction came back at €240.
There is no way to cancel your booking.
I was astonished at these charges.

I check in here because I want quiet room and better price. Room is neat, but the problem is non stop banging the door, making noise every minute it's beside my room they doesn't even care the people who is resting and sleeping in the middle of night, this room is non noise proof you can hear them talking in the other room, including opening and closing the door. Talking so loud in the whole way ( mostly housekeeping worker) and people who is walking. Please! Advised your house keeping not talking so loud in the whole way, someone sleeping.

SCAM ALERT — Guest Reservations! Do NOT use Guest Reservations — this company is deceptive and in my opinion, criminal. I tried to book directly with the Hilton Waldorf in London, but Guest Reservations disguised themselves as the hotel website. I agreed to a price and paid, only to have my credit card charged €1,882 — €580 more than the advertised price in hidden taxes and fees, with no warning or consent. I cancelled within 4 minutes and received an email confirming cancellation. But no refund came. After a week of waiting, they hid behind tiny print in their "terms and conditions" and refused to refund me. They are now claiming a "no-cancellation" policy — despite the instant cancellation and confirmation. They've taken €1,800 from me for nothing — no room, no service, and zero accountability. Thousands of other victims have reported the same thing. Their "customer care" is nothing but an AI bot repeating scripted nonsense. No real person will help. This company preys on travelers, disguises itself as legitimate hotel websites, and steals your money. Please STAY FAR AWAY from Guest Reservations. Share this to protect others! Total fraudsters do not use this company unless you want to to be overcharged
I tried to book direct with the hotel and for some reason guest reservations was disguised as the hotel, apparently what they do from reading many reviews, I agreed a price and paid but my card was charged over 500 euro more than the price advertised in taxes etc, I cancelled the reservation with in 4 mins of booking and got an email of the same
However when I did not receive my money back.
Guest reservations have hidden behind small print terms and conditions and customer service has not helped
They now don't give me refund or the accommodation as I cancelled as they state no cancellation policy
1800 euro gone with no come back it seems
I have done some research to find thousands of people with the same experience
This company are criminals in my opinion
We booked our hotel stay on what we thought was the actual hotel website, that is until we realized that we were overcharged by 145$ CAD. We then realized that this third part uses very a deceiving website that looks like the owners. They charges this extra $145 as taxes and fees. The hotel stay was 2 nights! They charged us a full thirs night in fees. Absolutely worst customer service, they were not helpful at all. Stay away! This company is nothing like expedia, who you are much much better off going with if not directly through the website.
