I purchased beautiful final sale dresses at jj house always had a wonderful shopping experience excellent customer service. I have been a customer for several years and would highly recommend jj house to my friends and family.
Declared value invoice was $18. Dress cost $180. Resulted in $200 customs fine I had to pay to get dress released from customs. Absolutely no reply from JJsHouse for 3 days on this. Either major fraud or honest mistake? EDIT: JJsHouse replied on my mail and promised to refund penalty.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM JJ's House. I paid for 2 dresses in 2 different sizes and styles because I'm in between their sizes and was unsure. I couldn't afford to waste time by ordering 1 and then reorder and return if need be so I ordered 2 so that I could return 1. I reviewed their return/refund policy on standard sizes so I was aware of their restocking fees.
They held up processing of both standard size dresses because I ordered 2 and they only wanted me to purchase 1 because they were trying to avoid processing a future return/refund. After begging and pleading with them, they took it upon themselves to send me the style and size of their choosing and process a refund for the other. The dress they decided to send is too small and the latches around the neck were sewn incorrectly! They gave me 4 options to remedy the situation, none of which include me receiving the dress in time and they entail doing the same thing I was originally trying to do by returning 1 and paying the restocking fee. It's the same thing, buy 2, keep 1 and return the other. The difference is that I would've had a dress that fit in time for the wedding and have enough time to get it hemmed. They want me to do the exact same thing but in 2 orders and with the 2nd order not arriving before the wedding! One of their options was to take the one I have to a tailor to be altered.
Um, how do I add fabric to a dress and what about the fact that it was not sewn/made correctly? They have left me only 2 real options; keep the dress I have and hope I lose enough weight for it to fit in exactly 1 month as the wedding is 1 month away or not be part of the wedding and finding a dress that fits so that I can attend as a guest rather than in the wedding party.
This has been the worst and most stressful purchase in my life.

This company is awful. I ordered my dress back in January & was told it would come in a month. On the day it was scheduled to ship (so a month later), I messaged them to find out the status of my dress. They said they hadn't even started making it (I ordered custom sizing) because of COVID-19. Fast forward to the beginning of March, my JJ's House dress still hadn't came. I decided to just order a different dress from a different site. I wanted to cancel my JJ's House order since I didn't want it anymore, so I sent a "cancellation request." They emailed me & said I would hear back from them within 24 hours. I heard NOTHING. I emailed them countless times & sent numerous cancellation requests asking to cancel my order. Then, in late March, my JJ's House dress came, even though I had told them to cancel it because I did not want it. They basically forced me to have a dress I did not want. I had to pay for a dress I did not want. I'm currently working on filing a complaint with PayPal to get my money back. And not only was the ordering experience awful, so was the dress. The quality is crap & the custom sizing is a joke. DO NOT ORDER FROM JJ's HOUSE! THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY!

Update as of Sept. 08,2020! My orders came one day before the wedding.It took 5 weeks even though it is expedited shipping (2-4 days based on their site). My youngest daughter was able to use the dress (custom made) but the dress for my oldest daughter was small in size (standard size) so we have to buy another dress for her. The dresses were nice but the size is small if you base it on their standard size. I message the firm through their website and they are willing to give me a full refund of my shipping fee. I appreciate how polite the customer service on the site. Unlike the one in their facebook account. Lesson learned: If you are going to order in JJ's house, it is best to customize the size to get the best fit and order AWAY AHEAD OF TIME (months) to avoid so much stress.
Old post: I ordered gowns for my daughters last july 27 for them to wear on my wedding day. I paid extra for expedited shipment so as to received it after a week as their page says so. Its been on transit since aug 11 but no more updates after that. Its been 5 weeks but still no package from them. I've been sending messages to them but i got the same reply that it is on transit and that its because of the pandemic that it got delayed. That is not true because my 2nd order was sent from them through DHL and i received it aug 26. I still keep on asking where my first order is but they asked me to be patient. Now my daughters dont have anything to wear for my wedding! I wanted them to return my money and just send the orders back to them but they will not help me. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE in facebook, no one answers the landline and sizes of the clothes are very small.

I was very anxious ordering a dress online, and even more anxious when i read all these terrible reviews. I got my prom dress from jjshouse, custom sized, in a color that they did not have a picture of the dress with, for about $200 + 20 for the custom sizing. It came in about 2 weeks! I read all these terrible comments and flipped out. Although i can't necessarily say that their reviews are wrong or untruthful and such, i can say that on their website they have a live chat where you can talk to someone and ask them anything. I tested it out and they respond right away on and are VERY helpful. So communication is not a problem. The dress is beautiful, perfectly made, and a beautiful color. It also looks just like the picture! I would 100% order from them again. I am so pleased. I would reccomend doing custom sizing, just since it's online. I made my bust a little smaller than what it really is so it wouldn't fall down. The only issue i have is that it is too long, but that is my own fault bc not only did i not measure my height very well, but i also didn't realize that they add an extra. 5 of an inch for heels. I would do a little shorter than what your "hallow to floor" measurement really is if you are getting a prom/long dress. All in all, i am very VERY impressed. If you already ordered your dress, do not stress over the terrible comments. And if you are considering ordering, do it! It was a great price and i am so pleased with the outcome! Also, i was not asked to review this item (as i saw people were asked in youtube videos) or anything like that. I am just a normal teenage customer who's happy with the outcome of buying a dress from jjshouse!
STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS unless you have money to burn! Having had a pleasant experience buying my wedding dress from this site I thought it would be a good idea to get my bridesmaid dresses from here. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER. My wedding is in early JUNE 2014. Before placing my order on 3rd May I was reassured several times by jjs house representatives that my items would arrive in time for my wedding. According to then my items were sent on 13th May with an estimated shipping time of 7-15 days. To this day I continue to wait for the dresses to arrive. I have asked them to re-send my items while they investigate the matter but all I am told is that it may be stuck in Shanghai customs and to 'please wait a few more days'. I have been more than patient if you ask me. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE does not even cover how the problem has been dealt with so far. Talk about STRESS before the wedding this is something I do not need! I will not rest until this issue has been resolved to my satisfaction!
On the plus side I have since dealt with a more helpful representative Adam who has since given me a full refund (and rightfully so). Disappointed not have have got the dresses I wanted but at least I got my money back in time to source an alternative for the BIG Day.

Bought 3 dresses from this company, and paid for expedited shipping.
First, I was charged an import/customs charge that was not disclosed. Before I picked up the dresses from UPS, I engaged in email exchanges with the company, requesting that they pay this undisclosed fee. Initially they refused, claiming that this fee is disclosed in their FAQs. After engaging in numerous email exchanges, they then agreed to refund me the full amount of this fee. Then, after I paid the fee and picked up the dresses, they claimed they did not agree to pay, and the email exchanges/negotiations began again. Finally they agreed to refund the full amount.
One of the dresses was made well, and I am very happy with it. However, I have significant problems with the other two dresses, and am in the process of trying to get my money back.
One of the dresses was NOT the dress pictured on the website. The company's excuse: Their website's pictures are not clear, but they gave me the dress I bought. Not so; the dress they sent me is clearly different (different beading, beads and beading design). Still fighting over this, although they did agree to pay me a 20% refund.
As to the third dress, the armpit holes are way too small, and I cannot even lift my arms once I put the dress on. The company's response was to show me pictures of my bust measurements! LOL... That was clearly not the problem, and this has yet to be resolved.
Since posting the above review, Adam resolved a few of my issues. I was repaid the undisclosed import fee, and - in an effort to amicably settle this matter - I was given a full refund on one of the dresses. Thank You Adam for your help.

I ordered a galadress, received it very fast and the measures were perfect. I had a lot of compliments about the dress! Thank you JJshouse!
I placed a single order for 5 simple boquets... my order was shipped in two different boxes. My order then arrived a week apart.
Upon recieving boxes, the first was damaged, the second was completely crushed. I have attached photos. My USPS has handled large loads (hundreds of items of varying sizes) of international orders that arrived in immaculate condition. Yours was the only one in 13 years that arrived destroyed. (See photos).
When I inquired of the estimated arrival time it took me most 3 weeks to receive a response. Looking up the shipping numbers I was given, both came back invalid. When I called to speak to someone I was on hold for an extended period of time and hung up on twice. I cant think of a worse customer service expierience ever.
The first thing I noticed when opening the parcels is that even though I ordered all 5 items at the same time in one order, they were manufactured differently... there were supposed to be an identical rhinestone at the crest of each flower... about 90% of the flowers even had rhinestones (many flowers had nothing) but of that 90%, many were of varying shapes and sizes. They look like something my 4 year old put together. They are not identical, and not even similar. I also noted that they had been crushed and were asymmetrical and side heavy.

I ordered a wedding dress in burgundy from jjshouse. It looked beautiful and exotic in the picture, and had a "sale" price of $314.00. The sale price was the actual price, i found out later, after the "sale" timer had run out of time. They advertise the original price around $900.00, but that's a load of crap.
I received the dress, after a charge for custom sizing, a charge for shipping, a charge for foreign business, and THEN I had to pay a $65.00 "tariff" fee to accept the package, after I had already paid extra for faster shipping. After everything was said and done, I'm out over $400.00... but it gets worse.
The color was completely dissimilar to the photo. The liner of the dress is red, and peeks out over the top, so it's burgundy outside with red inside sticking out (looks EXTREMELY tacky).
They sewed cheap, mismatched yellow sequins on top of the "gold" embroidery, which I ended up cutting them all off because it looked like a cheap quinciera dress. While I was cutting off the sequins, I saw they used threads of all different colors to sew them on. I saw white, yellow, gold, bright red... all of these carelessly sewn on a "burgundy" (it's really maroon) dress.
What crappy quality.
I bawled because I had spend so much money, and so much time being excited for a dress that I thought was going to be luxurious, perfect and beautiful on my wedding. It's a cheap, horrendous pile of poor quality cloth, sewn together by people who could give a rat's $#*! about your special day.
They are laughing all the way to the bank. On top of that, there's an extra three feet of fabric at the bottom. What in the world was I thinking?
I'm telling you, if you're considering this site, DO NOT DO IT. It was the worse waste of money I've ever spent.

I don't even know where to start. This has been the worst online purchase experience I have ever had. I wish I had found this site and comments before purchasing dresses from JJsHouse because I would have NEVER done it. I too like many others on this site have followed all the required return policy stipulations to return two defective dresses. Each communication comes back to me with different excuses such as "two dressmakers spent days and nights preparing the dress for you". The two dresses I received are defective. They have been made incorrectly (probably due to staff working too many hours in a row and not producing the quality expected). Then they want to give me a 20% refund and have me "resell it online". I would NEVER resell a defective dress. The only outcome is a full refund for these unworn, defective dresses and I will pay a lawyer to get my money back before letting JJsHouse hold my funds hostage and force me to keep poorly constructed merchandise. They obviously do not consider or care about the stress they cause people with their poor customer service. The site does not say NO Returns or Final Sale. I don't think that one star can express the horrifying experience I am in right now. I would give ZERO stars if I could.
After posting my initial comments on Site Jabber, I was contacted by a JJsHouse representative who was very helpful and assisted me with returning the dresses and receiving the full refund I had requested. Thank you Adam!
I had a legitimate reason for my return due to the dress construction being flawed. With that said, I do not feel that an online company can expect clients to keep merchandise they do not like since they can not try it on until they receive it.
I think JJsHouse should put FINAL SALE and NO RETURNS on their website, instead of trying to force customers to keep merchandise they do not want.
I felt helpless and angry in this situation until posting my complaint on Site Jabber and having Adam with JJsHouse assist me in returning the dresses. I wish I did not have to complain before receiving good customer service. I would not recommend JJsHouse after the experience I went through to finally come to a satisfactory resolution.

UPDATE: After communicating with JJs House some more I was able to get a full refund after posting this review.
I ordered 2 bridesmaid dresses from this site and once I received them the bride wanted to return them to get different dresses and get different colors elsewhere.
First off, the dresses were in good condition and still had the tags on them and they should have had no problem accepting them back and giving me a refund. Instead I am told that they can't and didn't give me a legitimate excuse. I am a poor college student who barely has enough to survive and they refuse to give me a refund. I am sorely disappointed in this company.
They DO NOT care about customer satisfaction and were not willing to help me return and get a refund on my items. I looked at their terms and conditions to see if there was anything that said my purchase was final sale. And I found nothing, also when I inquired of the return they only said that it was "really hard" to accept returns. That is not a legitimate excuse. They really have no excuses to reject my return and want of a refund, except for the fact they are money hunger.
I will make sure to tell all my friends and family not to order from them unless they want to be scammed and cheated of their money and time. Luckily, I'm a college student and have many friends who are engaged and will get married in the future. So at least I can give them advice to avoid this online store like the plague.
I've also had many other online store work with me that have allowed me to return my items and get a refund. I can't believe that that this one store is so cheap and so fixed on money that they only care about their numbers not the people. AVOID THIS STORE.

I also have received several calls from them asking about what they can do to make it better which shows that they are trying to improve things. I also have a coupon if I chose to use the site again. Overall, the dress did suck but the after service is wonderful so I might be willing to try the dress site again in the future. I just need to make sure I give custom measurements above and beyond what is needed apparently. If I have another event with enough time to cover another disaster (just in case), I will most likely be trying to use them again. Selinda is WONDERFUL!

I wonder how many bad reviews are being covered with what seems like a PR ploy. My dress is HORRIBLE but I believed all the good reviews... I had the custom measurements and although I can say it fits, the way it was made is NOT flattering. 1. First the bodice was made WRONG and is WAY too long. How that can done when they can email at any time with more info is beyond me 2.The laying of fabric through the body is thick and not portioned and cuts off at the wrong spot! I take off the dress and lose inches instantly! A dress is not supposed to highlight, it is supposed to mask these things! I have no idea what to do as I spent all my money on this and now I have a week to find an alternative. I was supposed to be happy for my military ball and this is making me anxious and so upset! Trying to return for a refund now as that is the only thing that will make this whole experience better... Ill write another review then... This is not a value if you spend that money and the dress is USELESS
