Trial before larger purchase

I ordered an inexpensive dress and a bracelet as I wanted something for a wedding. The dress I
Ordered came on time was ok quality for the price the dress fit but knee length on me hung to the floor
And the jacket was way to small. I ordered an XL,. In a Canadian Store A 14 OR 16 would have fit fine. I oved the styles but could not get over the thought that if I Measured for custom and got it wrong I would out several hundred dollars. I hated that the web site would not show me the dress I liked in the colour I Wanted. I will try again when there is more time to try non custom sizes and return. I did not return the inexpensive dress as I would be paying so I gave it to

I was not happy with the quality of the product and attempted to return which proved very difficult. However, a supervisor in the Customer Service department stepped in, was very helpful and facilitated a productive resolution. I was impressed.

I ordered my items (dresses for a trip) on the 24th of February. Still have not gotten my items. So I made contact today and asked for a update. I was told that my order cannot be completed and shipped due to high demand. However, the items should arrive to the warehouse in 4-7 working days. My issue with this is I would think someone could of at least notified me when I purchased these items. Or at the very least have out of stock on the item when I was shopping. Now I am in need of these items before the 17th of March for my trip. Don't really want to cancel my order but if they do not arrive for the purpose of the purchase then I don't need them. And will not be making any other purchases through this website again. Which is sad because I was referred to this site by a friend.

I ordered a t-shirt with a front pocket, received one with a line simulating a pocket. Very obvious on the pictures.
They responded quickly for a return, however, the choices are:
-keep it and we will give you a coupon worth 80% of the value of the t-shirt,
-keep it and we will give you 60% of the value of the t-shirt - picked this option and received 60% of the price, no refund on taxes... no way to know if they will pay the taxes to the government or keep it for themselves (in my case, this meant an extra 15 %),
-send it back for full refund.
They did refund within 48 hrs.
OTHERWISE: good quality material, and good looking product.

Deception...what you see is NOT what you get!

I thought I would give this company the benefit of the doubt and order something else with the refund given to me from a previous disappointing order, again total deception, nothing like the image portrayed, the dress on the image looks quite textured compared to the one I received! The description states that its made of polyester and cotton mix, the label on the dress states 100% polyester only. Shiny chavvy and down right ugly, looks like cheap curtain material from the 60's or 70's, also the dress portrayed has 2 different shades not 1 flat shade and completely different colour, just cheap and nasty looking.
All I can say is Buyer's Beware for what you see is not what you get!
I will not bother paying yet another £14 to send back to china
How do they get away with this is beyond me

Disappointed
February 21, 2023

I ordered an item based on the picture and description, realizing that it might not be exactly what I wanted; It wasn't. The return requirements seemed too onerous and costly to make returning the item a realistic option. I gave them a reasonable rating but not an excellent or outstanding one. But Lightning in a Box reached out to try to satisfy me. They refunded half the price while allowing me to keep the item. I think this reflects a strong desire to satisfy customers.

Hidden costs, low quality
September 11, 2015

Took weeks to deliver my order - with no advice as to when the order was dispatched nor any idea of a delivery date. When my order arrived, I had to pay an extra £27 delivery charge (even though I'd already paid a shipping fee when I originally ordered). When I went back to the company to ask about this & obtain a refund for the extra charge, they said it was for 'taxes' which they were unable to estimate in advance. I have paid well over what I was expecting to pay and the quality of the items was lower than expected. Take care with ordering from this company!

I bought 2 dresses through Light in the box a few months ago. The first one was so-so ok, pretty poor quality for a dress costing over €160. The 2nd dress cost €248. Unfortunately I had to pay import taxes of €138 on these before I could take delivery of them. Since I was insured for this, Light in the box guaranteed that I would get the taxes back. Unfortunately, I am still waiting for this refund to this day. The 2nd dress also did not fit at all so I asked for a refund of trade it. A 50% refund was promised which changed to 50% credit after my agreement. So I am still waiting for over €250 but get purely standard emails in response. Expensive dresses, poor quality and poor service.

I have ordered personal items from Lightinthebox and i did not have any problems, with shipping and quality of the products. Their products are so mouth droping that i could not believe my eyes. Excellent service quality as well

Nice customers service

I bought a smartphone from them. At the moment when my smartphone was taxed by the federal police of Brazil, I made contact with the Light the box and they just needed the receipt of the tax. A few days later, my tax was paid out by them. Here in Brazil the taxes are very high, so this service means a lot to me. Thank you.

Do not buy from them, ever

I bought a product from them which had a false description and when I returned it back to China with expensive shipping costs which they promised to pay, they refused to pay it. I fought them over four months trying to get them to refund my money. They responded with sarcastic comments and would never acknowledge my concerns. Based on their thieving practices, this company needs to be shut down.

Long time coming

Light in the box, was very easy to shop. Site map is very well distributed. It takes a little to long to get your merchandise, but everything I have received this far is top quality. Light in the box, was very efficient when trying to get a low stock item, when it was found unavailable, I received my money back promptly. This company is a pleasure to deal with

Stay away!

My wife bought a jump suit that she wasn't happy with and we attempted to return. The company has a complicated process on returns and found out it would cost me 28.00 to return to an address in China! Needless to say we will never do business with them again!

Overall, good experience.

I like the variety of what you can find on the site. The deliveries are made in a reasonable time. Tops with long sleeves are tricky as the sleeves can be way too long,

A negative side is that the measurements for clothing are not standard and changes from one item to the other.

In my last order received last week were 2 dresses, a Black one and a Red one. I was really looking forward to the Red dress that I wanted to wear at my Christmas party this coming. Unfortunately, the dress received was not the one I ordered. It was similar but the one I ordered. I ordered the one with covered shoulders (picture attached) and received the one with open shoulders (picture attached) which doesn't suit me. I was a little disappointed and no time to order again. The Black fits nicely though. First time that there was a mix with the item ordered and I ordered quite a bit from Light in the Box.

Trustable, quick and reliable

At first I was afraid of never receive anything, since this was my fist purchase on the site. The fact they accept paypal increase my confidence.

The shipping time was given to be 5 to 9 working days. Since it comes from China, i was expecting much more time, but they fulfilled.

I bought three different silicone moulds and favour bags. They were very quick to deliver. It is so cheap but that does not effect the quality, if anything the quality of the items I bought are better than the expensive 1s now after finding this website I am always on it in my spare time. I have already recommended this amazing website to most of my friends and I am still recommending it. Love It. Best of its kind

I really do not like this company at all, and would rank them the worst of the many companies I've ordered from online. The two items I ordered took a long time to arrive, and the fabric quality was awful. And the size way off. I'm guessing that a 2x Chinese woman is the equivalent of a size 8 US woman! The return process is convoluted and expensive. I returned a $160 dress and got reimbursed only $130. Ugh

1. Please be kindly noted the Total Delivery Time consists of processing time and shipping time two parts. For this order, the processing time is 10-14 business days (14-20 calendar days) and the shipping time is 2-4 business days (4-6 calendar days). 2. We are sorry for the dress is not fit. But please be advised that all our dresses are made based on our own size chart. As our size chart is not US size, you need to measure yourself first and refer to the size chart to decide which size to take. 3. We took a quality test on the returned dress, and it shows that the dress doesn’t have the quality problem or size problem.
