Bad Refund Policy

Got my wife a green rain jacket. It was not waterproof as advertised. Only water resistant. And one of the drawstrings was missing the metal piece. I did not know this until my wife opened it for Christmas. So when I tried to return it, the company said I could pay for shipping to have it replaced. I didn't want to pay more money to get a new one, I wanted my money back. So I told them I was disappointed with the options. They offered me $2.60 as a refund for a crappy product. So I took that and now I have a damaged product I don't want. I will not be doing any business with Light in the Box in the future. Not worth it.

I've checked through previous correspondence and am afraid there could have been a major misunderstanding. It seems that when you've contacted us, you didn't mention the rain jacket wasn't water proof. The 10% partial refund was based on the understanding that a small metal tab missing from the shoe lace. We might have thought a 10% partial refund would have been sufficient to buy a new shoe lace locally. However if the jacket isn't waterproof as described, I agree this offer would be deemed as highly inappropriate. Please accept our apologies for this misunderstanding. Based on the description problem you should be offered no less than a full refund!

"This dress came earlier than expected. It was a custom fit so I was kind of nervous. I've lost a bunch of weight and my upper arms did not shrink with the rest of me. I got in contact with customer service to convey the size of my arms. They were gracious and responded that it would be to my specifications. I have never been more surprised (pleasantly) than I was when I received this dress. It was very, very well made and fits perfectly. The material under the see-through material was almost double. I can't think of the way to describe it properly but it was beyond well done. I am thrilled with my purchase and highly recommend this website! "

I received a mobile phone from this excuse for a on line shopping site and can only say its a disaster area.
When I received my phone it never worked, I contacted them 5 times and only got fobbed off from one useless operator to another, the phone was supposed to cost 82 but by the time I got it ( 33 days late) it had cost me 126.
I returned this phone 6 weeks ago and have never had an email or phone call about it. Have tried their CHAT link, worst than useless.
I will never order anything from this lot again and urge you to follow suit.

I have checked my order number and i didnt expect you to admit making a balls-up of my order, keep the 126, maybe you can put it towards training some of your staff how to pick orders and treat customers.

Nightmare from quality to scam products to the worst machine customer service that answers emails just to say that they are answering. Beware of this type of e-commerce and make sure you spread the word.

Site says "Free Returns". NO. We received 3 dressing that were 3 sizes to small, and was told we had to pay shipping to Asia to exchange sizes. No way to talk to anyone. Zero stars for Customer Service. We were robbed.

I ordered 3 shirts for my son for Christmas this year. They took over 3 weeks to arrive and when they did arrive, 2 were the wrong size! My son wears a small and received a small and 2 extra larges. The website leads you to believe that exchanges or returns are easy. This is a Blatant lie! When you try to press on the "returns" button, it does not let you go any farther, I tried 10 times! There is no phone number anywhere on the site to actually speak with a live person, but i wonder if they even speak english. I lost about $30.00 to this crappy site and reading the other reviews I now know why! Wish i had read them first. I'll NEVER order from them again and will tell everyone I know not to!

Great Customer Service.

Overall I just reviewed the clothing I received and the next thing, Customer Service gave me a ticket number then contacted me because of my overall experiences. The company will do everything in their power to make sure the customer is satisfied. The clothing is a great value and the material they use is of high quality. The issue I had was the size chart sometimes does not match the clothing size. The company is working there hardest to rectify this problem.

I ordered a dress for my mother-in-law for a wedding. I had various emails with the company asking me to check the measurements as they were concerned about the sizing with the design of dress. In the end the tailor said that the design of dress just wouldn't work. I really appreciated their prompt correspondence, honesty and advice. They did make some other suggestions that would work with her shape but they were all long dresses which she didn't want. They were more than happy to process a complete refund. On the basis of this alone I would highly recommend them.

I love buying clothes from LightInThebox, quality of the fabric is high. I wasn't disappointed at all. Very happy and got my packages pretty fast. First ordered from this company several weeks ago. After delivery promises not kept, placed a review on here which eventually helped resolve matters. Decided to give them another chance and placed order on 15 Sept. Processing time given as 4 days but have now been told dispatch will not be until 29 September at the earliest. Have told them this is not acceptable but... no reply to request for cancellation of order and full refund. Clearly goods coming from China and not European warehouse. Do ot believe anything it says on website re delivery etc... they will claim quick service but do not keep promises. I WILL NEVER ORDER AGAIN... LESSON LEARNED.

$#*!ty and poor quality of product

Buyer Beware: Do not buy from this fraud company.

This company sales are based on wrong description of product while delivering a poor-quality product and refusing return and refund.
I received a coat that has an extremely poor-quality rough fabric which cannot be even considered denim neither cannot be used as a cleaning cloth.
The company has refused return or refund and has offered 50% off on the next purchase of poor quality from this company.

They are asking to prove poor quality fabric through pictures which cannot be proved.

DO not waste your money on this fraudulent company.

The positive reviews included here the ones LIGHT IN THE $#*!Y BOX has posted themselves. Do not get fooled.

The experience that I have had with lightinthebox.com was so amazing. They are very helpful and if you have a question or concern they are always answering you back in a timely manner. After fighting and waiting for almost 2 months to receive a little part of plastic I decided to write this negative review. I got charged immedialtly but I never received my order and nobody never contacted me to apologize / accommodate or refund me. I'm now fighting to be refunded.

Horrible experience! I paid extra for rush shipping. Items arrived way too late for the event. I immediately contacted customer service and was within all the return policy's parameters. They denied my request for return and will not accept the items back even though the shipping bags were NOT OPENED! AVOID this company at all costs!

It's impossible too get ahold of anyone in customer service. However it took some time but I did get a refund for damaged cargo pants. You have to be extremely persistent and you will finally get it. If you buy any of the 3D clothing make sure you do not wear anything over the top of them not a sweatshirt not a coat. The pictures look identical to what is advertised however the material is garbage if you wear anything over the top of them it phrase it. Also the sizes for pants are around three sizes too small make sure you order your pants a considerable amount larger than what you normally wear. If you try a refund for pants being too small they try to give you 20% or 10%, it's ridiculous. So do not try a refund under pants too small they will try to screw you out of your money.

I had ordered a y shirt size XL. It arrived after 14 days and it turned out to be tight. I use L size internationally. This XL was like a medium size. When asked to take it back they say they won't and that I need to courier it to them only then they will refund. When the whole online business globally operates so well with refunds and exchanges, Light in the box doesn't. Waste of money. Please do not order.
