Horrible shipping
December 15, 2016

Just learning it will take over a month to recieve item purchased 11/28/16. I paid extra for insurance and expedited shipping. 5-8 buisness days. Was shipped 12/02/16. Contacted customer service and their excuse is holiday delays. Wish I would've read reviews before purchasing anything from this site. I hope to return with the good news of actually receiving the product after 01/09/17

Initial order was delivered to South Africa and destroyed a few days later because I gave my postal address. The money was refunded, but I had to re-order the whole consignment. Second time round USPS could not track the parcel, and I had to phone four times to get the parcel released. The products looks fine though.

Ordered items on the 9th of December, its now the 23rd and still no sign. Their postal tracking is appalling. Looks like I won't have items for Christmas - so disappointed. Will not, nor would I advise anyone to use this company.

Ridiculously slow freight, still waiting 6 weeks after payment. They must put you on mailing list for scammers phishing sites as since ordering i receive up to 12 emails and txt messages a day trying to get me to invest in scams, pay delivery for non existing phones I've won (yea right) absolute pain in the A**. Avoid, your better off paying 10 times as much for quality real products

I ordered a set of stretched canvas prints, they matched the picture 100% and from order placement to delivery (Melbourne, Australia) it was 6 days. I will definitely be using LightIn TheBox on a regular basis. Excellent service received.

The times provided at time of ordering changed drastically and I no longer needed the product (hats for a wedding) as the new delivery date was a week past the wedding! I was advised that to get a refund I had to take delivery then return. Then apparently I was contacted by a customs officer to make arrangements for pick up and payment or my parcel will be destroyed. Enough already I contacted Light in the Box and advised them to deal with their problems and requested my refund. Nothing yet! I will never deal with this company again and will advise others not to order from them.

I ordered a jacket from this company with the understanding it would be shipped within 2 days. I was sent a tracking number 4 days later. The tracking number is from the USPS, however 9 days after getting this number, the USPS has yet to receive the item. They show, little to no concern for my issue. Call me crazy, but I wanted to use this jacket before summer.

Everything arived fine

I have ordered other things through Lightinthebox with some sort of problem or issue, yet there is always some intension to resolve. This particular order came fine. Just don't expect the time frame for delivery to happen. It will take a least 3-4 weeks to arived.

My daughter ordered a 30 dollar wig, for a costume, last month. We had no idea, based on website, that the wig would be coming from China. Alas, more than a month later, no wig. She needs it, today, for a convention. We have contacted Light In The Box... they gave us a tracking number that does NOT exist, with the United States Post Office. There is no way to contact the company, only an typed response, which gets a reply, over 24hrs. Later, Response from 'Ivana" claims the "package has arrived in your country". No, it has not, "Ivana". I wish my daughter had more discretion when ordering items, online. This site lacks consumer integrity. I wish consumers, in North America, had more protection from these sites from overseas. Thanks, globalism! Lesson for my 17 year old? Buy North American! We will never use this shady site, again. They did NOT deliver what was promised.

Requesting more money
September 22, 2016

I placed an order last week for a pair of wedding shoes, then decided I didn't need it. I emailed yesterday morning to cancel and then received an email today to say it had been shipped. I then received a text message from DHL to say I need to pay £18 for delivery costs. This was not mentioned anywhere on the website and I don't even want the order. No one has replied within the 24 hours they claim on the website. I regret ordering from the website already.

I was a little disappointed about my order being delayed after waiting for two weeks for the initial purchase. I really liked the shirts so i decided to wait until the items were restocked. It didn't take long for the item to be restocked and my order was on the way. I look forward to receiving my merchandise when it gets here.

Misrepresented product, poor customer service
December 12, 2021

I bought some sweats. Wouldn't recommend buying them or anything else from this LightInTheBox. The color did not match and the fit did not taper like in the picture. The customer service was worse. When I asked to return the product for a full refund, I was told no, and only offered a store-credit for 30% the value of the product or a refund of 20% of the value of the product. This whole operation seems based off misrepresenting products and then having return policies that don't make it worth returning the product because you'll just lose even more on paying for the shipping. Guess I can cut the pants up and use them as rags or something.

I regret that you've faced this very unpleasant shopping experience. We believe returning an item should be uncomplicated and straightforward. In your case you've requested to return low value pants, for the reason they didn't fit and because the color didn't match. The return for a full refund was accepted. However when looking at your photo, we were abble to conclude the colour was identical compared with the photos on the website. Considering the pants are just $20, proceeding with a return wouldn't have been profitable, so we might try to seek options that are more advantageous. I am sorry if you found our offers unreasonable or inappropriate.

Great communications, disappointing service

Admittedly; I ordered not realising this was just another Chinese webshop. Sizes were much smaller than expected and returns suddenly were costly.
So. Enough reason to avoid lighthinginthebox for future sales.

It's like Christmas every time I receive a package. I have had amazing experience with this company. Customer service is top-notch. I have had to change orders for sizes after I've placed the order. I have had no problem changing order sizes after I placed the order. Customer service is quick to respond Quality of products above and beyond. You need to make sure you read reviews and thoroughly check size chart. A whole order sizes larger than you take.

Is a bad company. Models for clothes are caucasians but clothes dont fit north American sizes like Canada. The clothes are made in and ship from China to Canada. The sizes dont match Canada sizes. If you order a medium they will ship you an extra small and claim that they will not exchange the goods and tell you to give it to friends and family. Dont even buy anthing else from them. This company is a scam and should not be allowed on the global market place in the internet world. Buy from Amazons only.

In order to help customers pick the best fitting size, we state specific measurements on each product page. You need to measure yourself first and refer to the specific measurements to determine which size to take. If you just pick 1 or 2 size larger without refer to the measurements, the clothes are always go small. We appreciate your kind understanding in advance.

The company appears to be very deceptive in its sizes and prices. The materials for plus-size customers do not breathe. So the lower price reflects the cheaper material. And the size is not a US plus size. When you speak to the chat person, they tell you one thing, and then customer service will say something else. I will not try them again. They have excellent designers, but the material and the sizes are not for Plus size customers.

Scam?

I ordered something on June 10th/11th I can't remember now that it's July 17th. I paid for 6-8 business day delivery and it obviously never arrived. I complained and they said 98% arrive within 35 days. Now that day 37 has come around I continued messaging but I expect nothing to come out of it. Also they have an automated system that replies generic things about your situation, they actually sent me the exact same message twice in the same conversation. I would strong recommend nobody uses this site unless you want to lose your money and receive nothing in return.

Good quality

Placing my order was pretty simple. My order arrived on time with no hassle. The items I got mostly looked like what I ordered with the exception of one jacket, the color was a little lighter than advertised but that was no problem because it's still a very pretty color. The jackets themselves all run a little small, only thing I wish I knew before ordering, but other than that they fit and look lovely on me which is all I care about and that they keep me warm! I will definitely order more things from Light in the Box in the future!

I paid extra for my products to be shipped. After 1 week they still won't refund my shipping costs and I still don't even have my products purchased. Customer service just continues to ask me nicely to be patient for my products to arrive... They refuse to refund my shipping costs even though my expedited shipping was all a lie since they cant ship from china in 2-3 days... It's been 10 days since order and I still don't have my products!
