First time I have ordered anything from LightInTheBox. Overall it was a very good experience. Web site was easy to use, but a little hard determining foreign shoe size. I placed order for 5 pairs of ballroom dance shoes. All arrived on time in good condition, were very comfortable. But one shoe had a defect. I contacted Cust. Service on line and forwarded photos of defect. Customer Service was prompt, courteous,& very helpful. Within a week I received replacement shoes.

I was not happy with the purchase of men's shirts as they appeared on website to be embroidered on polyester but was not. I am trying to return and you only wanted to give me a % of my money back. Everyone else gives labels to ship back and I also asked for an address in which there was no response. I chose to send to your shipping and dispute the charges. I will not get anything else as this was false advertising and too much of a hassle to return.

Fake goods
December 21, 2015

Light in the box use images of a genuine product to sell a very poor quality copy. They refuse to give a full refund. But because they are from China their customer service is useless. They have my money, and do not want to help.

They always have a great selection in all the categories. Love their flash sales. The majority of items are of good quality for the price. I also like the regular shipping updates telling the exact stage and when to expect delivery.

I ordered this clip in hair extensions in brown but unfortunately I received another color. I contacted customer service by email and they replied in no time. They were more than happy to send me the correct color via priority shipping. They mentioned that they apologize and they were so easy to work with. Now that is excellent customer service! The product itself is actually beautiful. The quality is very good, it's not shiny and fake looking. It doesn't shed. I've ordered quite a few low cost hair extensions and by far these are the best quality. And just a quick tip, if you ever order extensions that are shiny (not these of course) use hair spray on them, it will make them look more natural.

Cheap quality, scam company from China. Don't buy! They took my money but never sent the product. When I complained on Twitter, they emailed me, implying that if I took my bad review of them down, they would "expedite my refund." Totally unethical! Stay away!

The products are of good quality and at reasonable prices.

They have such a variety of products that you will always find something to buy

I bought several items at miniinthebox over the course of several months.
Their items proved to be of very poor quality and broke after few times of use.
I bought:
- 5 x micro SD cards: 2 of them did not work.
- A torch light: wrong item description and it broke after 2 times I used it.
- Toothbrush heads for an electric toothbrush: the brushes were getting loose inside your mouth during use.
- Camera screen protector: upon removal it irreparably damaged the screen of the camera.

I was promised a coupon of 8 euro. When I was given only 2.84 euro and asked what happened to the remaining 5.16 euro, I was told by the customer support lead that I was complaining too much.

This store is very bad and I will never order anything from them anymore.
It really gives an infamous reputation to Chinese made products.

I ordered three of these dresses in Watermelon colour. (1 of them size 12 and 2 of them as custom measurements.) I tried on the size 12 dress, it is beautifully made. The quality is excellent, the same if not better than all of the bridal stores I went to in Brisbane, Australia. The material is lovely and they are a really high quality product, for a very good price. Thank you Light in the Box! I'll update my review with photos once my bridesmaids try them on.

Shirt, lost in the ether.

I placed an order, after verifying with the support service that it would arrive in time for the 24th.
Eight days after I ordered it finally showed up in their "tracking" site, as "Arrived in Jamaica, NY". According to any tracking facility I can find, including the USPS, it has not even been delivered to them as of yet, and today is the 21st. Still shows arrived in NY.
When I explained to support, again, that I wanted to start a refund, as there's no way it will magically appear in time for a Christmas eve party, I was told to be patient, and wait another week. Uh, what? No, I don't need it after Christmas. I have not heard back from them, and regret not looking them up prior to ordering, as this appears to be a widespread issue. I ordered other items from a similar retailer who utilized the same shipping service as Light in the Box, and their items arrived 2 weeks ago - ordered on the same day. Avoid this place!

Although they reply when you follow queen the shipping was actually delayed by almost a month. Luckily I got most of what I ordered correctly. This cost a lot of stress because this stuff with order from my wedding. Other than that customer service is good the items actually looked nicer than what they do on the website so all in all my experience was okay.

Unethical Practices
June 25, 2022

One night I ordered six items from LightInTheBox. Early the next morning I realized I had the wrong sizes on all of my purchases. I immediately looked for a number to call. There was no number. I texted them immediately about the mistake. I texted them for weeks. They said that was my problem nit theirs. I never opened any of the clothing packages and sent everything back immediately. Needless to say, I haven't received any money or any clothes in larger sizes. I think the U. S Government needs to look into this company' unethical business practices. They not only have my money, they also have the clothes. Be careful dealing with overseas companies! Be sure to read their return policy. If there is no return policy don't purchase the clothes. Know your rights before you purchase items. LightInTheBox did this to me in January 2020 also.

Worst e-shop

Ordered a mirror 4 months ago from this "company" which i never got and i asked for a refund. They refused to give me a refund because they claim that my order is still on its way. Worst E-shop. Stay away

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from them. I had to pay £15.00 duty which I was not expecting. When I opened the parcel I was really disappointed at the poor quality. I sent them back straight away and paid a further £10 on postage. The shoes cost £24 for both. I have paid more in duty and returns. This was back in July and still waiting for my refund. It is now October! There is no contact details or any way I can get in touch. I can not recommend this shoddy company.

Untrustworthy

A Chinese company that can't be trusted. No customer service. No refunds… surprising with how they can still be in business but morality isn't important to a Chinese company when Americans customers are involved. Wish I had researched ownership before ordering.

I ordered 3 knee length chiffon bridesmaids dresses from LightInTheBox and they were absolutely beautiful dresses. Lovely quality material, the zips and everything are really good quality. So relieved, as I was a bit worried about ordering from China.

I'd definitely order again.

I ordered the dress in Silver, and it's a really nice light grey colour- so not the dark grey seen in other pictures of this dress.

I'm really pleased and can't wait for the bridesmaids to try them on!

Better than I expected

I expected these all to be really cheaply made products but have been pleasantly surprised. Returns are easy to do and they keep you up to date on the shipping. It takes a little longer but you can't beat the pricing.

I ordered 2 paintings (a set), they products I received had completely different colors than the advertised paintings. Moreover, one was different from the other, like made by 2 different people. I understand there may be a slight difference but what I received cannot be even hanged on the wall, instead of beige there is orange. Of course they refused to resend me new ones, as they should be.

Update: After a secondary complaint and publishing reviews, they returned me the money in full and apologized.

The products purchased are of very good value for the money spent... they are good quality and well worth the investment! So top marks there!... unfortunately the returns process is not so good when you inadvertently purchase the wrong size... its a shame that I didn't check the sizes completely - Asian and European sizes are quite different. Means that money is essentially lost due to it costing a lot to return the product. The customer support was very helpful and arranged a part refund of the items...
I will be much more careful if I purchase more clothing from this company and will automatically purchase 2 sizes larger than I normally do in Europe.
