Paypal has been fine for the many years we have had an account. The accounting was accurate and the site was easy to use. As soon as you have a problem, however, you discover that customer service is nonexistent. I have made many phone calls and can never get through to a person. Right now I am fighting a fraudulent transaction. They closed my dispute in a matter of hours, leaving me no advice as to how to appeal. There is no phone contact. There is no live chat. There is only their website, with its circular references. It is very disheartening. When and if I get my complaint resolved, I am closing my account.
In the past when I was in Iraq Paypal gave access to my brother, now nothing really affected me other than upon my return I could not use it myself due to the credit card transaction I had no idea how and what credit card he used forcing me to used an alternative email address. That brings up the question how safe is to use Paypal. I recently made a purchase I was not even asked which pay method I wanted to use, they processed payment on a bank account that my wife had recently closed. Well the bank contacted me letting me know and offer options. So I attempted to contact Paypal using the phone number from the website first if I was over 50 push pound, offer for T-Mobile and last Satellite Cable. No customer service rep. I called several times finally they said my phone would be block. I called 4 times thru Ebay, got hung up by the time I got thru I was hot. No results. I paid the bank and their fee. Good luck with them.
Best uses: 1) When you do not have a credit card, the payment can be taken out from the bank account of your choice. 2) When a company refuses a VISA debit (or similar). 3) When you want an extra barrier of security between yourself and your seller.
Security: I feel there is an added measure of protection because the seller only gets a transaction ID from Paypal and no banking information from me. I also have the ability to contact Paypal's customer service if I do not receive what I paid for through an individual seller.
Customer Service: I have had no reason to reach out to them yet. All my transactions have gone over smoothly.
Overall: PayPal has been a Godsend for my online orders and purchases. However, private memos for transactions would be a bonus. Currently, any notes you attach to a payment are seen by the seller.
I bought tickets for a concert using Pay Pal. The concert never took place and PayPal denied my claim. They are in cahoots with a bunch of scammers. Ri[p of artistes. I cancelled my account and won't use them again. Ever. I would give them 0 stars but that is not an option.
Hello, I don't know if anyone will really care about this review about PayPal because their already known for declined credit card! My situation isn't any different but PayPal doesn't want to explain why they declined my purchase! So I think that their system doesn't allow the chip on your credit card from other banks which is a security chip for your protection! They will lose another customer!, and they don't even care! That's why I hope people catch on to this and stop using them because they aren't for any existing customers or for new ones! The credit card I used is still working till this day! Stay clear away from PayPal they will ruin your Day!
It seems that they knowingly allow sellers to use false advertising while selling fake knock-off products, and don't care at all about helping buyers get their money back. As soon as I complained to the seller, their website disappeared from the web. I contacted the seller directly four times and twice through PayPal, and never received a response. After 12 days, still no response and the item has not bee shipped. Nevertheless, PayPal will not honor a dispute I filed. I will never use PayPal again, and I suggest no ones else should either. If you think that using them will help you get satisfaction against a crooked seller, you are wrong.
Terrible experience. Main problems: 1) Unable to access business account if business is in a a different country and I am accessing the account from a different. Already have lots of money blocked for 10+ years on this nonsense! 2) No easy way to find subscriptions. 3) They put your money on hold for nothing and will never recover.
Paypal claims to prioritize securing transactions for their customers, yet my account was charged with four fraudulent transactions. While I was able to block three of them, the fourth one went through. When I filed a claim, Paypal stated that it was authorized. However, I have evidence that all four transactions were made on the same day, within minutes of each other, for the same amount but with different merchants. I am seeking clarification on how Paypal arrived at their conclusion and how they are fulfilling their commitment to secure transactions. Fulfilling their commitment to secure transactions..
When you transfer funds from a bank account to paypal it says it takes 5-7 days but always takes seven and sometimes longer. Its pure greed that it takes this long because they suck up as much interest with YOUR money as they can. Will avoid paypal an even co's associated with them from now on.
Stole £13.66 from my account. I changed over to the new ebay user agreement scam so when you sell something eBay handles all the fees and there is no PayPal involvement anymore, yet PayPal still somehow took the money out of my bank account to pay to their partner in crime ebay currently seeking legal advice.
They may be ok for simple financial transactions. They are terrible for dispute resolution. They don't even try. They prefer to just have them disappear magically. They don't make the slightest attempt to understand the issue. Instead the send some generic dumb A** responses. Closed my account. Not that they care. But, it is an act of rebellion. :)
I used to maintain a small balance in my account, but no longer. When I went to use it recently, I found that it had been frozen by Paypal management. Upon inquiry, it turns out my adult son was involved in a billing dispute with someone or other. Since we share the same initials and address, they froze MY account as well as his. When this was explained to a Paypal agent, it was no interest... my account would remain frozen until my son resolved his dispute. Unethical, piratical and arbitrary. Paypal is managed by swine, IMO.
Paypal is very good if you sell your own products, it's a ready-made platform which is easy enough to install without technical knowledge.
In my experience, Paypal is not suited for a large volume of transactions: it becomes very risky, and Paypal has the habit of blocking accounts at the slightest complaint, justified or not. Keep in mind that Paypal is based in Luxemburg, and they are allowed to freeze your assets for several months according to local legislation.
I am pissed that this company is attempting to hurt the population of a State for a measure passed by the government. Not making any comment on the bill, just the fact that a multi million dollar corporation is attempting to influence local politics with terrorist tactics. Have an account but I rarely use it. Seriously considering deleting my account and asking others to do the same.
Security hold on my own money being transferred to my own bank account. Despite withdrawing money before, they decided to put my withdrawal on review, leaving me in arrears for my rent.
Literally no information on what on earth it is that they are 'reviewing'. Also, surely they can see that my payment was made through eBay.
If I knew before that ebay buyers can wire transfer, I'd have stayed away.
I'll be avoiding PayPal like that plague in the future.
The supervisor Morrie told me to ask the buyer to take their payment back and to send me a check. Is that professional? My credit card has been on file for 4 yrs and all of a sudden it's not good enough? The government can send me a tax refund to my account but paypal can't? And customer service can't help anyone. Why are they paying people who can't do anything? Useless site, Useless customer service. Use any other site but this one.
As i work with digital marketing and serve globally so it's mandatory for me to find the best solution. Paypal did the job for me. I can take payments anytime securely, from any country of the world (although Paypal doesn't support in few countries yet). Besides i can buy digital goods easily with the help of paypal. Its supported to all the global platforms which is great. In the same country, transferring money has no fee! Gift card system is also useful sometimes. In a word, i'm in love with Paypal.
Worst customer service ever! STAY AWAY! I have had someone hack me on their site and no one to reach. You get random texts saying someone will contact you but they don't. I can't believe how big this site is with ZERO protection
I've tried multiple times to get a hold of someone at paypal as they hold your money hostage. Their fees are insane but when trying to move your money they refuse to do so because of "security reasons". What BS! Especially during a pandemic as well, they take advantage and rape you to do any other transfer. Plus when using their message center, it's always a different person answering and instead of trying to resolve your issue they brush you off. Pass the word around. It I could give negative stars, I definitely would. DO NOT USE PAYPAL!
PayPal holds the money being sent randomly. A client who is not selling anything all of a sudden is unable to withdraw because PayPal tags it as "payment for service or item" and several steps have to be taken in order to solve the issue. However, with the steps come several hiccups. For example, it asks the receiver to log in using the computer. When you do, it takes you to the phone verification which never sends text messages and only takes you to a dead end. Next, they don't give instructions to the sender on how to "CONFIRM" receipt of "item" or service. Worse, sender is unable to locate the CONFIRM button. PayPal will only release after payment is confirmed. This issue happens on a monthly basis. Customer support is pretty much non-existent too. Very frustrating to say the least.
Answer: I would not recommend PayPal to anyone for anything they're a joke of a business
Answer: Paypal will NOT be on your side if the item is not as described. I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
Answer: They have become a money laundry scamming allowing company. Stay away at any cost.
Answer: USPS delievered it to the wrong address my pacakge was supposed to be delievered too 35710 Bay Morgan Ln, Fallbrook, CA 92028 when USPS delivered it to an address simillar to this one 12354 Alcatal Street (do not know the exact address since they did not email me, but you can call USPS and ask, and that is how I found out) Fallbrook, CA 92028, right city and zip code, far away address.
Answer: I'm thinking someone has to work there, if you send messages you will get a canned reply, I get the same response from 10 messages, basically "suck it up buttercup, you have just been played" but if you try to actually talk to a person good luck.
Answer: They dont. They wait for you to forget it. You get money back if you fill in a form after 180 days.
Answer: Do never send money to PayPal. That money is lost. This company has become a Giants money laundry company.
Answer: No there is not. PayPal protects scammers. Be sure to never use them.
Answer: It doesn't matter if you report them or not PayPal won't do nothing about it they continued to let the scammers operate on their site and do not protect consumers
Answer: SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE WITH THAT LOT, THEY CLAIM TO REFUND AMOUNTS PAID FOR ITEMS THAT DO NOT ARRIVE THATS "BS" I HAVE HAD 3 SUCH CLAIMS FROM 14 TRANSACTIONS AND HAVE NEVER GOT A REFUND DESPITE THEIR CLAIMS, THEY ARE CROOKS, FULL STOP, KEEP WELL CLEAR OF THEM.
