Instead of issuing me my refund they sent me a voucher refusing to refund me because its their "policy" and I can't use the voucher any ore because it expired. Don't trust these crooks.
PayPal used to be a good company. I used to feel safe when I made purchases with PayPal because PayPal used to back thier consumers and make things right. That all ended with Covid and PayPal customer service was pretty much nonexistent. There was absolutely no way to reach PayPal during the covid lockdowns of 2020. During that time, I purchased 2 pairs of boots from an online retailer from China. The retailer completely ripped me off and scammed me by sending me 2 completely hideously wrong pairs of boots and PayPal sided with the retailer and I was out $75 and PayPal could not be reached. I have never been able to trust PayPal since.
I canceled my account after 20 years of doing business with you. I will NEVER recommend or use Paypal again... in fact, I will tell my story to anyone via reviews of Paypal or in coversations. AMEX would never treat me like you have. It was clear that the scamming company was prepared to give me the $150 refund but you all SCREWED IT UP. The account was frozen and you would not respond to me. You never reached out to me when requested and this is more your fault than the scamming company. All you did was reach out to me to say you spoke to me. Again, Paypal SUCKS!
I've got a customer who paid via paypal credit card, the funds are stuck in pending payments, he can't get the money back and i cant get paid for the item's he has purchased from our website
Someone paid me to pay pal and they won't give me the hundred dollars they just kept it they keep saying me they sent me a check but its been almost 2 months now complete rip off
Disgusting company, don't use PayPal, I have big headaches with customers service, nobody can't help me transfer my money from PayPal to Bank account, I don't have access to my money when I want, I speak with customer service 3 times with no results, nobody can't explain what happened, in advertising say transfer your money in seconds but this is false advertising for me I don't have success transfer my money in one week.
I hope in the future fix this and definitely close my PayPal account.
We have had a PayPal account for many years which we used for both business and private use.
Recently the account was suspended because apparently we were not meeting their terms of service. The problem is that there is no indication whatsover as to which terms we appear to be breaching so we have no idea what we are supposed to have done wrong or what we need to do to resolve the issue.
Could not PayPal at least do their customers the courtesy of explaining the problem?
Documents were requested and provided and we then received a message that our account was cancelled due to the unspecified breach. There was a link to their terms of service but having no idea what might be wrong this was useless.
To add salt to the wound they then acted like the mafia stating we would receive a message in 180 days explaining how to retrieve the funds in our PayPal account.
We believe PayPal has shown itself to be a company with poor communication skills and systems and one that cannot be trusted.
If this behaviour does not breach a number of consumer rights, I'd be surprised.
I still stand by the poor customer service, but I must apologise I have checked with my bank, and have found that there was a mix up and my money although showing as gone through papal wasn't taken
I've never had an issue and I use my PayPal account every chance I get! They've been nothing but honest, accommodating, & easy to use. Love, love, love this service.
Be careful leaving large amounts of money in your account, one day they will just freeze your account and it will take months for you to get the money back.
Do not deal with these people because they will treat you like a criminal if you are seller on ebay. Sold an item with no returns to a merchant who decided he didn't like it he went to ebay to return and ebay closed the case and he went to paypal fabricated a story about the item and they made me give him his money back even though I could prove everything he said was a lie. He open the item as apart and he did 3 deep scratch and i send them the whole information with the pictures I have never been through a more frustrating experience in my life.and this is not the end after return and refund the buyer and they charge me fee twice first when i sell and the second when they refund the buyer, but before that couple days i took screenshot to my paypal account showing the activity and the balance then after refund the buyer i took another screenshot and i call the " professionals " on paypal they don't know where is the different and after transferred me from one to another they found the different and right a way the refund me the fee. It's not about the fee how many seller they cut from them twice and almost no one paying attention! They are stilling money from the buyer and the seller (((( be a ware keep far if you have another option)) and everything like they said when you call PayPal is recorded?
I ordered a 6 and a half practice putting mat thru a company located in China. After a long wait, I contacted the seller expressing my concern for no shipment and the fact that the web site was no longer active. I told the seller that if I did not hear back from them, I would escalate my complaint to PayPal. I notified PayPal latter that day as a precaution. The seller sent me tracking information the next day. After months of waiting, I received a pair of sunglasses and a case. I contacted the seller, wanting either the correct shipment, or a full refund. I was offered a full refund once I had returned the sunglasses and case and I must send it with a tacking number. The cost of return shipping was expected to be borne by me alone. The cost of this would actually be more than what I paid in the first place. I contacted PayPal and after weeks and weeks of waiting, they just decided that I would need to cover the cost of the return shipping as the seller demanded. The seller purposely sold me an item that they had no intention of sending and instead sent the wrong item. This is fraud and PayPal is complicate. I have cancelled my PayPal account and will NEVER use them again for anything. I would advise anyone considering using PayPal not to, they are only about making money and do not give 2 $#*!s about the consumers.
On July 6 I submitted a $200 payment to my sister that was needed for an emergent issue. Still to this date of July 18 she has yet to receive her payment plus unbeknownst to me PayPal charged me seven dollars for this transaction. The remaining balance is still on hold and I've had to take money to her personally. I expect a full refund or you need to release the fees immediately to her PayPal account this is absolutely asinine and ridiculous and very unprofessional I have more than a Enough money in my personal account to which this is linked to cover that times 10! I further wish to voice my complaints as the past two purchases that I've done via PayPal have both resulted in a 30 to 45 day delay in receiving of my purchased items I am deleting PayPal after this final transaction goes through and I'll give you an absolute rating of one I don't recommend PayPal for anybody.! I have used PayPal hundreds of times to pay for things, and a couple dozen times to get paid for items I sold. It is convenient, and safer than using my debit card. Except for my Amazon Store Card, PayPal Credit is the only form of credit I use.
I do have complaints. It seems crazy how disjointed PayPal can be... just recently I was trying to make an extra payment from my bank into PayPal Credit to bring up my available credit to cover an eBay purchase I'd already committed to. First I was having trouble setting up the payment at all, but after about 12 hours the site was finally functioning and I got that done. But then the PayPal Credit page showed my payment as pending but the main PayPal summary did not show it at all. After another 12 hours it was pending on both pages. Another 12 hours and it was completed on the Credit page but still pending on the summary page and my available credit had not gone up on either. Meanwhile the eBay seller opens a non-payment case against me. Wow... in this age of light-speed electronic communication, how is this even possible? Maybe communication with my bank takes time, but how can the various elements within PayPal itself NOT all be updated simultaneously? It seems like you would have to go out of your way to build delays into the system to achieve this level of clunkiness.
Oh well, I finally got it paid and eBay closed the case against me without permanent injury.
I registered my account back in 2012 when I was still living in South Africa and moved to Zimbabwe. I was using my account with no problem whilist staying here in Zimbabwe, until recently when they restricted my account. I wanted to link another card FNB card and I couldn't do so because of my IP location. They said I was a scammer. I submitted all the documents which I used in registering my account and the assistant said that it's company policy and that I must open a Zimbabwean account. All my documents are South African, from birth to ID and passport, I don't have Zimbabwean documents. This company is becoming nonsensical by day.
Paypal works like a scamming company.
They protect scammers and have their special made scammer function " family and friends" used ny scammers only. I got scammed for 5 700 USD Paypal did nothing When I reported. Then I got a death threat from the scammer on Me my son and my wife by the scammer. You could clearly see the email adress of the scammer Who was a customer of paypal. I sent it to paypal, they did absolutely nothing. I also sent them the police report I had Made on the scammer. Paypal did nothing. The most coward and corrupted company I have ever dealth with. The thought of the cowardness of paypal wants Me wanna puke.

They customer service and buyer's protection is virtually non existent. The last time i actually SPOKE to a representative she sounded high, making no sense whatsoever. I got scammed by somebody and filed a dispute (two actually for the same person, same issue) the decided FOR me for the lesser amount but AGAINST me for the higher amount. Makes you wonder doesnt it?
Long story short, PayPal takes $85 out of my bank account 8 days ago. I made a purchase today for $4 today which they charged to my bank account. I am on a medical leave from work and my income has taken a huge hit. That $4 put my bank account into a negative. So now my bank is charging me an NSF of $45. After spending close to 4 hours trying to get this sorted out, PayPal has promised to give me a "letter to give to my bank which will hopefully get them to reverse the charge. Their customer service representative Ryan, was an insolent, rude and impatient jerk. Because of their incompetence I was unable to purchase a necessary food for my fish fry. I have lost more than $500 in livestock, $45 in nsf charges, 4 hours of my own time, and probably 2 years off the life of my heart. After speaking with 2supervisors, Gerry, a very inconsiderate, apathetic individual told me that he was the highest I could go and his supervisor would not accept phone calls from the public (or wouldnt even call me back). You stole $85 from me, not to mention everything else. Karma can have a way with dealing with criminals like yourself. But I see its already doing that with E bays recent decision to go with another company and finally scrape the trash like you off the bottom of their (pretty trashy, too) shoes. I'll never buy another thing online again.
Used to be ok when they used us call centers. They now have hostile men answering the phone in foreign call centers "brian" was pseuonym he used. 3rd try calling them. Mr brian hung up on me when I asked about a usa call center. There was a never ending unexpected pause, but the phone was still on. Im sure that PayPal then I chatted online with a woman "Lynn". She did not supply a differnt number and said I woukd get someone different. Yes another hostlie man in asaia. 3x im done! 10 cents a day i would be resentful like brian or lynn.

I bought an item that was totally wrong, advertised as "handmade, hand quilted, made of brushed Kona cotton", picture was beautiful with wonderful quilting and vibrant colors and I was buying from a company from Texas. I received an item from Texas, not handmade, not hand quilted, not vibrant colors, not brushed cotton and it was just a picture printed on cheap polyester/nylon fabric. Hideous. I paid $99.90. Company first offered to refund $30, nope, still way too expensive for a cheap quilt that I wouldn't even use for my pets. Then said if I return the "quilt" to China at my expense they would refund the money. Cost to return? $70. Paypal agreed with this company, denied my claim and I'm sitting here with something I would feel cheated if I paid $10. Paypal is not the company it once was. Use your credit card as that company will have your back. Looking to see what a better option is than Paypal. 20 year customer and I'm done. I do not think anyone actually reads our messages to Paypal.
