In these trying times where visitation is prohibited because of the pandemic, there is always a way to reach out inmates. Sending letters, pics and all other ways to interact so that they dont feel alone while in an entanglement with the law.
I tried to delete my card information and it wouldn't let me. I called to cancel and the phone number was disconnected. Scam
There was this issue if you guys double billing my account. I called and it was taken care of. That's my only complaint, therefore, all is good.

Wow, I really wish I would have looked at reviews for this company before I fell for it. I paid for the monthly services to send unlimited pictures and letters. When I looked up the inmates name, all his info came right up and led me to believe they could send it to him. Well the prison ended up refusing mail from this company and it got sent back to me. Since I only needed this service to keep in contact with 1 inmate and the prison does not accept things from this company, I cancelled and asked for a refund. I was assured about 3 times now that it had been issued and I would definitely receive it within 3-5 business days. & guessss what!? It's been longer than that, I have not received it and every time I email them it takes a day or 2 to get a response and it's just the same thing every time. I also tried to call a customer service # I found on here for them and all it did was ring non stop with no answer. I feel like this is a SCAM - They know that people with inmates are usually desperate with not much money. So they're preying on them and once they got your money, that's it. It may work once in awhile but you are taking a really big risk by even trusting them to begin with, obviously a lot of the prisons don't. Sad because this could be a really good thing if only they did it right! Oh & the little 3 day "free" trial. Is a trap! Yeah you get your little 3 days and you can write a letter, but not until you gave your card info & the letter isn't sent out for 4 or 5 days later. Days after your trial ended so you are most likely gonna keep the service past the 3 days to have your letter sent out and they get you right at the start. This would have no stars at all if it was allowed!

So I signed up for a 7 day free trial to see if my husband even receives my letter and if it's worth the 40 dollars. I sent out my first letter the same day I signed up then I wake up the next morning to them already trying to charge my card 40 dollars twice. This is literally the next morning after I signed up for my 7 day trial. I'm not sure how I feel about this site if my husband recievs his letter I may reconsider but the fact that they already tried to charge me the morning after I signed up to try it for 7 days free is a red flag for me and I wasn't able to get into the account bc they didn't get the money because luckily I used a prepaid card that I hadn't put funds on to pay for the services yet since I was as just trying it out. So I called and after I spoke with someone but the lady on the phone kept telling me she's sorry for the inconvenience but wasnt sure how to help or didn't have a clue how to anyways just kept stumbling thru what she was trying to say then I was magically able to access the account again. So I'm not sure if they try to scan people yet or not I get was we will see if my husband receives his letters that I have sent and I'll go from there. I do know that without my husband I'm a single mother and this is supposed to make it easy for me to keep in today ch with him at an affordable price not Rob families blind in an already difficult time in their lives so hopefully that's not the case but only time will tell.

I'd use a prepaid card for the account that you don't use often just to be safe

Pigeonly is a wonderful idea, but poorly executed. The website is incredibly misleading. For example, it provides a rate of $2.99 for letters... 'unlimited' letters. But there's a catch. Once you select the 'letters' button, a $4.99 pr month 'premium' fee pops up. Then you're offered a discount to pay in advance, but nothing is broken down. I paid for three separate prisoner accounts, selecting letters and postcards. All three 'pay in advance' prices were different, ranging from $57.00 to $134.00. But there was no explanation for them. I attempted to 'chat' to get some clarification, but the agent was more confused than I was.
Also, the pictures on postcards are really tiny. Normally, a postcard is a picture on one side, and a message on the back. The message takes up one side, but Pigeonly ads take up the majority of the 'front', leaving your picture slightly larger than a postage stamp. So really, these cards are a scam, because you're not sending a real post card picture.
In addition to that, Pigeonly has a strict policy of no refunds. Ever. Nor will they ever contact the prison on your behalf if their mail gets returned to you. They are unwilling to advise whether or not the prison will accept postcards... but they won't issue a refund if they don't.
They advertise a free 'video' that's allegedly included with each postcard. But again, most prisons won't accept that. So subscribers are charged for a lot of services with 'promises' that fall flat.
Until these issues are fixed, Pigeonly isn't worth the trouble. Again, it's a great idea, but somebody needs to pay attention to how it's being executed. Today, they're not listening to the public.
Tip for consumers:
Insist on answers from Pigeonly before you pay for anything. Get everything in writing (copy your chat conversations). Use a form of payment from an institution that will have your back should you ever need to dispute charges due to services not rendered.
