I sold a 12 dollar bikini about two weeks ago, the buyer received it and payed for it. The process with with the money going in to my account was going pretty well and then I checked again cause it was taking very long to go into my account and it said "completed" March 28 and it's April 6th but no money in my account. I have been emailing them all week and I have been getting $#*!. Nobody is helping me get my money! I don't know what to do! The transaction said completed but I have no clue where the money is. I also asked to edit my bank info and I can't so I think I'm reporting the website because it's considered theft! Anyway, long story short this website SUCKS don't not use it they will steal your money! As soon as I get my money im deleting my account. HORRIBLE!
I signed up with Poshmark a while back probably about a year ago. I hadn't started a closet until very recently. I try to be a conscientious seller by putting things in the mail the day they are purchased or the day after. Unfortunately, not all sellers abide by the same rule. Poshmark has a 7 day rule for shipping items. In my opinion that is too long. The purchase is charged to the card the day of the sale so it should go out in the mail that same day.
I purchased a dress that the seller did not bother to disclose had a tear in one of the seams so in addition to what I paid, I paid another $10.75 to have it fixed by a seamstress. I rated the seller low and let her know she should have disclosed the tear.
Another item was a skirt that the seller washed in very heavily fragranced detergent or she just used way too much detergent on. I had to wash it about 3 times for it to come out. It also had a stain on it that looked like perhaps the seller was eating or drinking while she was packaging the item. Not all sellers are active on Poshmark so it's not uncommon to buy something and not get it in a timely fashion, if at all. For this reason I suggest leaving a comment on the item and seeing how long it takes the seller to respond back. This is a barometer of how long it will take them to get off the couch and ship it.
Also, some sellers have more than one account. It's just a mess on there. The offer option is just dumb imo b/c most sellers refuse to go down on the price.
In terms of receiving credit for a sale, that is determined by the date the buyer goes in and ACCEPTS the item. I recently sold something and the buyer took 4 days to click ACCEPT in the app which delayed me from getting credit. Does anyone know if there's a payout method or is it strictly a credit?
I don't know why people think about using this site... I am a seller and a buyer so you should believe me when I tell you this is the wrong place to do business or bring business to. Keep you money or try other sites.
Buyers will be rude to you and leave harsh comments on your items, you won't blame these buyers they are also scared of being played. Buyers will offer 200 for an item of 1200, what happens to the 1000? If you end up accepting the offer the payment will not go trough. They will call you all sort of names if you try to work things out with them.
Sellers on the other hand, will look for the easiest way to rip you off your hard earned money. I have heard weird stories and I am actually scared of selling here because this scenario has also happened to honest sellers and buyers on the site.
Some will sell an item to you and ship an entirely different item. Contact Poshmark and you wil be asked to send photos, send photos to them, and the seller will take your page name all over the place calling you a scam artist. Who is scamming who? Same applies to some buyers.
Use at your own discretion. I was thought to never say a word if I will end up saying something negative about it..., I can't seem to help see you fall a prey of these negativity and drama on Posh.
You may be among the lucky ones, I thought I once was not until now.
This is a honest review from a buyer and a seller. Save yourself and RUN!
Yes, I have made about $1000 on this app and you get $5 in free credits just for signing up with the newest code: BOAYA. I am glad I joined because I sell quickly and it is easy to print and ship. I make offers on clothes and often save 50% or more on the original price by shopping with this app.
Posh love? What a joke I made an offer on an item and the buyer left me a nasty note then blocked me from her site. What a $#*!! Decline the offer like a big girl! Everyone has the right to bid whatever they want! How rude! Don't have time for the nasty sellers. Done buying from that site! Plus all sales final so I have items that don't fit or don't look as nice as the pic and your stuck with it. Don't waste your time or money! Also, lots of scamming!
I really should've stayed with ebay and kept the h away from poshmark.
They have no oversight and you can not return items that are not wanted-- I wanted to ask a seller a question and ended up buying because was aware that I was getting same item for my birthday. When I tried to tell the seller (before it shipped out) I was totally ignored and couldn't cancel to save my life. Now I have a bag (in crappy shipping package) of what I suppose is the same thing as I have already (not opening it). Seller will not accept a return. So I tried to contact CS over 7 times. The last being Mar 11 (was told on FB that they'd contact me within 72 hours of that email--NOTHING)
It's so irresponsible that company never checks their emails; their phone number is disconnected; canceling on site doesn't work; or dispute (I have a pic and it will only accept onedrive uploads... what the...?) and the only resource is facebook to complain and then they still do not contact you? It's literally like burning money in a fireplace if you are a buyer. Stay away from this place-- I'm sure there's a lot of other places that are actually good.
I've tried to find quality/well priced items on this site for days now but nothing is listed correctly. First off, the items generally are not discounted. For example, an item's original price would be $50.00 and the seller would "discount" it to $45.00 (+ shipping). I also found plenty of Patagonia jackets/Alex and Ani bracelets for the same price they would be brand new! Another thing that grinds my gears is the original price is rarely shown. Instead, the seller puts it at "$0". Rather than putting it as zero, price it or at least estimate it. I would like to know how much/if I'm saving money. Even if an item is well worn out or damaged, the seller will try to jack the prices up above and beyond. I'm starting to think Poshmark is full of greedy people. It's as if they know the item is bad quality but still think "hey, someone stupid will pay full price for this!". Cut it out Poshmark and tighten up. Place more rules that disable greedy/scammer types. Until then, I will refrain from Poshmark and be POSITIVE I tell everyone I know.
If you buy An item and need to return it, the only reason they will allow is for the owner to have falsely advertised it to you (sometimes you just don't fit into an item or there could be other reasons. But they don't accept those).
They review your complaint for about a week and if they accept that you were mislead by the seller, only then they send U a return label.
As soon as you get the return label, you have to post it within 48 hours. If for some reason your package is not entered into the usps tracking page (as was my case) within that time by your usps mailman, your return is cancelled. So you're stuck with the bad item for life.
There's noone you can call at postmark. And their email correspondence is practically non-existent.
Lisa Ephrat has so many complaints get that she had to change the name of her closet 3 times: Ephrat's closet, to Lisa's closet, to L's closet. She used to sell fake Chanel and got in so much trouble that she has since pulled them off her closet. But she then did shady things like selling you what seems like a good conditioned item at first so she would get high rating and Poshmark would pay her. But the Chanel item has a defective hardware (which would not break until a week or 2 later) which she then asked for the buyer to return for her to "fix for free", which she then switch it to an old, fake, scratched up item to return to the buyer. If the buyers try to expose her scam on her page, she has her groupies to attack and bully them. Stay away from this buyer Lisa Ephrat of Lidor Jewelry.
I joined about a month ago and for the most part the sellers are pretty good. The last two sellers refuse to send my merchandise that I ordered! Poshmark was forced to cancel these two orders because the sellers would not respond. I wrote Poshmark asking them why they allow these people to sell that have no intensions sending out the merchandise that has been purchased from them. They never responded back to me. Pleas stay away from "KEEPITNET and YOMACAMACA. They have closets set up to sell and they will not send your merchandise to you, be warned! STAY AWAY FROM THESE UNTRUSTWORTHY SELLERS!
I have had great experiences with poshmark so far. However, I have limited myself to buying accessories and a light trench coat. I personally wouldn't buy any clothes or shoes unless I have tried on the item beforehand, and I already own London Fog coats. They are usually true to size.
It seems like a lot of people have been ticked off because the clothes or shoes have run small (surprise, surprise dealing with designer items). Honestly, use common sense when buying stuff through a third party and not a department store. It is simply the chance you take when buying from an individual (think craigslist).
Also, I like the "make an offer" option. I got the London Fog coat at $40 when the seller originally asked $75. Make sure to see a lot of pictures of the item: front, back, and sides. Ask the seller any questions that they haven't addressed... Any flaws? When can you ship? Is this from a smoke-free home?
I love poshmark. Not only for selling but for buying, I've honestly bought more than I've sold so far but I'm sure that will change soon. There are so many good deals, it's priority 2-day shipping and the sellers on there are nice (so far) alot of sellers are even willing to take offers on items. So now I can clean out my closet and add new items.: D
Use referral code BRWAV for a free $10 credit when you download the app!
Be very careful poshmark has increased shipping as if they have use that cost for cracking down on fraud activities/ scammers do not trade with new closets and or people without any reviews do not exchange your email address or personal information poshmark wil not fight or protect them consumers when scamming occurs and trust me scamming is at a all time high on that app... be careful you all are probably better off shopping on REAL REAL or any other app... but run away from poshmark... they are horrible scammers live there 24/7 i wouldnt give them ONE STAR if i had a choice
My daughter ordered some items in December. When the package finally arrived, it was the wrong stuff. After a week of trying to get it resolved, were told two orders got crossed. We received mailing label to forward the package we got and were told the person who had our stuff got a label and would forward it too. We sent the package we had but still haven't seen our package and it's March. Last week we did receive a package from a different seller with more stuff we didn't order. And inside was a note to a different girl. How would this seller have a label with my daughter's name and doesn't she check the name of who she is mailing to with the order or the note she put inside? There's a reason I don't do business with 12 year olds!
Purchased a cute pair of rain boots. When I received them I tried them on and they ran small. I was told the seller did not false advertise and I was stuck with them because I should have known they run small. Hmm maybe I should have ordered a Crystal Ball First! Will Never use site Again!
I had a horrible experience with the customer service at Poshmark.com. They claimed that I did not ask any questions about the item when the seller posted a wrong picture online (deceitful). They will ignore the customer. Stay way, not worth it!
I had several good purchases from Poshmark but now have had two bad experiences that really tarnish my opinion of the site. One was a purchase that the seller never sent, the other was a purchase cancelled by the seller for no reason but "other" (yes, that is an option - ridiculous!) Fine, the site refunded. But there is no public negative feedback so that I can warn others that these sellers are unreliable. My items are still showing up in these sellers' closets as "sold", making them look good, but they weren't truly sold and the sellers aren't good. Until they develop a public feedback system that includes justified negatives, I will stick with eBay. Poshmark is too much of a gamble, and lets bad sellers stay to possibly mislead others.
I have had wonderful experiences on poshmark and the parties are fabulous. My first purchase was ok. I ordered 6pks of Marley braids and the seller kept bs-ing about shipping them. So I contacted poshmark and they said give her three days and I did... she kept giving me excuses. Poshmark sent my refund with shipping. They were prompt and efficient. I hope my next purchase will go as smooth as my recent one.
I have been on Poshmark for 3 years, and I can tell you that some individuals on Poshmark will try to take advantage of the people who price their items for a cheap price then go on eBay or another reselling app to "flip" the item. Moreover, I have had people buy my items then attempt to flaw the item or return it if it was deemed "un-resellable." They deem items un-resellable if it wasn't an item on trend or the resale value was low. Basically, if these resellers cannot make a profit off your item, they will attempt to do all sorts of return and stuff. Therefore, make sure that you thoughtfully write your listings with utmost transparency. I am just a bit disappointed that Poshmark allows these types of customers on here. Some of these resellers even dare to resell your items on Poshmark for a way higher price. It has really became a sourcing tool for resellers and not so much for customers to actually wear & enjoy clothing. I hope with the increase in shipping that it will perhaps deter resellers away from using this as a source of their inventory. My hope is that people will actually enjoy their purchases rather use them for profit.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
