I'm giving a 3 star only because I have not received all the incentives I was supposed to get. I signed up for the Lifeline service and the deal I signed up under was if I transferred my phone number and brought my own device I would receive an Amazon giftcard $20 or $25, free Amazon prime for 2 months and a tablet for $10. I did not pay for the tablet yet because I'm broke. I did receive the email about getting prime free but never got the giftcard. However...I was thrilled to be able to keep my phone number when I switched from boost mobile to qlink. I was also thrlled that I could use my own phone. The 5g service that I get is great and I get better signal than I did on boost mobile.ibwas with boost for many years but I had to change service because I am homeless and could not pay the service anymore.so this was a blessing for me to be able to have free phone service. I use it everyday to look for jobs and get help with my disabilities. I am grateful for that because atleast I can keep up with my job se as rich and keep in touch with my family and let them know I'm alive still. I can't always get to my dr apptsbut I can use my phone to cancel or reschedule. I wish they had service to help me get a peaceful private shower and a hot meal from time to time. I can only buy cold food and quick snacks on my EBT card because I have no way to cook. If each person who reads my review would send me $1 it could really help me get back on my feet. *******@TacosTacos
This company SUCKS. Don't trust 'unlimited data' plans. You pay $60 for 'unlimited data' but will cut off at 10 G's. This should be False Advertisement! I don't understand how they get away with it. The phones they provide are slow to touch screen taps, have pre-installed apps that use up and leach all your data, freeze up all time, downloaded apps don't work and this is lucky if your phone even works at all. My phone arrived a week after my first usage statement came in which already had 2.7 G's of data some minutes and texts already had been used. I imagine that they are stealing somehow my data text and minutes to charge money with my purchases later that I needed, to use my phone. Data plans are priced: $3 for 100mb, $10 for 500mb, $15 for 1G, $25 for 2G, $45 for 4G; this is absolutely outrageous! STRONG ARM ROBBERY and should be prosecuted and have a pending and future class action lawsuit for theft! What a scam! Customer service SUCKKKSSSS! Never speaking with someone who speaks my language, ENGLISH! When I do purchase a plan so to use my phone and data is turned on; I may get 1 bar of signal strength at best and I live in a great area to get a strong signal. This whole service is a scam! There are many cheaper options; GoogleFi, Safelink, Assurance and many other options! Please, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Have been with them for 3 regrettable years. My last call for support was told it would take 241 minutes. Gave my call back number 3 times but no return call. When I finally got someone I couldn't understand their broken English accent and called back. 53 minutes on hold this time. Called on phone problem and was told to go to Walmart and they would fix. I went to Walmart and they died laughing since they don't do repairs. When I called back they said I was canceled because I used too much data. I never use data and only about 6 hours a month of use. Finally got a supervisor from the Philippines who I could hardly understand and she said I have to re-apply and would be given a new number. WHAT... they can't reactivate my application. Now I have to inform all my 50 friends and relatives I have a new number... NO, I have to start all over. NO WONDER THEY HAVE THE LOWEST RATING OF ANY PHONE COMPANY. ALAS... GOING TO FIND A COMPANY THAT WORKS. PS. Just heard that they are losing their government contract... YEAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I don't stress about having to find a way to pay a phone bill as I have a lot of medical issues it is a a blessing to have Q-Link thank you
I used to be a member of QLINK, because QLINK has no hotspots, I switched to a new provider in December 2022, and asked to keep my QLINK phone number, my new provider handled the phone number transfer for me in December 2022, it was during My QLINK phone number active the period, but QLINK refused to transfer my number and canceled my account. As a result, I lost my original number and interrupted all my contacts. Since I applied for QLINK, it was very unpleasant. The new mobile phone I bought from QLINK could not accept the network at my area, and could only make calls. I connected QLINK customer service center, they always did not solve the problem, leave with excuses, made that I waiting online for 6-7 hours, I asked to return the mobile phone, the Qlink staff evades and did not answer, made me waiting for a long time online again, or the Qlink staff asked me to buy a expensive mobile phone from QLINK. I have no choice but to throw away the new mobile phone I bought from QLINK. I was not satisfied with the customer service of QLINK.

I called the bbb I have been waiting since March for this new phone still have not received it they called today and said they was expediting it becuz I called BBB
I applied on 12/12, and was told after calling my ebt card wasn't accepted, as our state doesn't put names on them. Medicaid card would be fine. Call a few days later, card not accepted because it didn't have an issue date. Email them my benefit letter. Call a week later, and they say now my w2 wasn't accepted, even though their website said it was. Brief hold. Oh it is accepted. Waiting on approval of emailed document. Ok. Call a few days later, still waiting on approval of letter, but their system is down and she'll have to manually push it through. Call a few days later, they're still waiting on approval of letter. Call today. Due to new federal regulations, we cannot issue you a phone at this time. Call this 800 number. So I call the number. They say they can't get a hold of Qlink, they've been having problems with them lately, and there are NO New federal regulations that would bar me from having a phone issued. Call them back. Ok... So... I call them back. She apologizes for the confusion, gets my information and says verbatim the same thing the other agent said about federal regulations. I ask to speak to a supervisor. Brief hold. She comes back, and says she's sorry but due to new federal regulations they are unable to issue me a phone. I asked her what the regulations are, and she just repeated herself. I said that they're so scripted I'm having a hard time having an actual conversion, and she again. Sorry, but due to new federal regulations. What is actually going on with them? Is this a scam? Did I send all of my documentation to a fake company? I'm so upset and confused. I called another company that has lifeline service and was told to drive around and look for tests with their logo on them at different places ( including "parking lots"...) what is going on. They are like, here's a free phone! Jump through all these hoopd, now these, but on fire! Now these on fire with alligators and a moat! Ok. Oh. Sorry. Due to new federal regulations...

Answer: I mean they provide cell service not internet that's two different animals all together. LOL you can turn your phone into a hotspot, which then allows you to tether your tablet to the phone and use its cell data but I think actually the only cost is $5 a month that's unlimited everything so I think just about anyone can afford that. But they actually send a SIM card which I believe was for the tablet and I never put it in so it could be it already came with cell service I haven't paid anything in months except for one time $5 and for all I know that was for shipping and receiving. As far as the $30 phone bill the government you already getting free service so you could apply that $30 towards the internet service if you have a provider in the area that's cheap but reliable. Good luck on that. If you need to know how to set your phone up as a hotspot you turn on Bluetooth for one but the best thing to do is just Google it say turn phone into hotspot and connect tablet for Android it will give you full directions.

Answer: If it is a real Qlink email and not someone phishing for info when the package comes don't open it, Write on it "Return to Sender" your singing the song in your head, huh. Depending on your age that was an Elvis Presley song in the 50's or 60's. If it asks for any kind of information do not answer. I get one that say my (department store) order is on the way. If you get a text message and says to send "Stop" to a phone number don't do it. Most likely it is testing to see if you have an active, valid number. Anything internet, phone or text that you don't know who or what it is "Spam it" and delete. Even if you know the person there's a chance when you open it. My address book got hijacked on Facebook and sent everyone on it a virus. I don't FB anymore. It's a pretty sorry person that sends a virus to people they don't know.
Answer: I agree with the previous answer I had SafeLink years ago it takes forever to get it's not as good a service I couldn't get calls inside of my residence. It was terrible I would definitely go with QLink it's so much better in so many ways I don't think there's a question here really. They even sent me a free tablet or I think it was $5 although it's older and it's slow it's free and it does work. You have to make sure you connect it to LTE or 4G rather than 5G it is not a 5G tablet nor I don't believe the phone is either it's 4G also.
Answer: Mine got limited data but still can use calls and text if you run out of data. And it's almost June of 2024 and I am still using my free government service. Maybe however you got this program ei. In WA state you have to be TANF or SNAP and sometimes you have to renew you benefits like my food stamps I have to do that every 6 Months in WA state. So maybe you need to check if that's what your state program works!
