Have been using a FREE phone from Qlink on the lifeline program for a few years. Not the greatest quality - but as another review FREE is free and it serves my needs. But on 03.22/2021 I received an email offer to upgrade to a new smartphone with 5G service. Since my screen was craked anyway and I was thinking of ordering a new phone, I thought it sounded like a GREAT offer. Signed up and was sent via email was given a confirmation number and told the phone would ship in 7-10 business days. Six month later STILL NO PHONE. Over that past 6 months I have inquired via phone and email and got told everything from there was NO PHONE ever ordered despite having a confirmation number to 15 days ago being told that the order was in process and would ship in 10 days. Today, 09/27/2021, Guess what the automated system says it is in process and will ship in 10 days but the LIVE person says the PHONE WILL NOT SHIP BECAUSE THE OFFER HAS EXPIRED! What kind of garbage is that? I ask you would you call that good service? I have emailed them tonight - Don't expect to hear from them to resolve the issue. I have filed a complaint with the BBB - but know that will do no good and now this rant. I just want to warn EVERYONE stay away from Qlink

I have Qlink phone service, been using them for a while because it is free and I qualify. First I got a free phone. It started acting up, so I decided to buy my own phone and have my account transferred to the new phone. Glad I had the right match. For months now I have been getting notifications on my phone to got to a link for a free tablet. I never did. This December I got a tablet in the mail. Didn't know why or who sent it. I went into my account on line because I stopped being able to get into my voicemails. There I found some type of message saying I have a $10. Balance owed for what was suppose to be a "free" tablet. Tried to contact Qlink [website says you can chat anytime - NOT TRUE - no actual person ever answers your question]. From google I learned that a program called Emergency Broadband Benefits is the program that give qualified persons free and/or money to help pay for internet service. I do not have Internet through qlink. Never received any internet equipment. Do not receive any money to help pay for internet. Yet, I called the Broadband company and they had issued an application number to me. I spoke with a representative and was told that my provider, Qlink, had started the application. That I needed to completed the process. I denied the request and asked that the application be cancelled because I did not authorize it. She agreed she would, but stated I needed to get the matter straight with Qlink. Still trying to contact Qlink. Meanwhile I am googling how to reset my voicemail or troubleshoot the problem, unless this is something being done by Qlink. Also, trying to find out how to make a legal complaint against Qlink.
Transferred my phone and number I've had for 10 yrs. Few weeks later. No service told I transferred my service. If I did that I'd took my number too. So reapplied and now my number was invalid found out they gave my number to T-Mobile. Called numerous times with no results. 2nd sims card shut down. Said i canceled it. I did not. 3 sims I didn't order i knew nothing about until I got on this web site to look up Account numbers and found a 3rd customer Account ID number and I now got 4 ID account number and still no replies ir my number back. My cell number is also my trusted/verification ID number. Qlink got into my apple account and changed the number and then when I called and said they are violating my rights by not giving me my number back. I all of a sudden got a text saying partial service back. Hey I can text 2 of my friends and that the service they gave me oh yeah that number they put into my apple account in trade of mine I guess disappeared. This company is hacking into your account and selling/ or whatever words they use to cover up thier fraud of taking numbers. They denied giving my number back. They can't do that. They DO NOT own these cell number and have no authority to choose what they do with your number. A FCC RULE: I am filing a civil lawsuit with FAIRSHAKES on them and I will with whatever means make sure they lose thier use of my tax dollars to run a government low income benefit program. I encouraged and suggest anyone having problems of any kind with QLINK contact the FCC and or find a company like FAIRSHAKES and file a civil suit on them. Violating our rights is against the law. Do not let these phones server do this to us. Communication is a free human rights

I recently switched to qlink because my friend have qlink and she has free calling minutes and my company only gave me a thousand minutes. So I switched. Big mistake. I tried to Port my number it took them a day and a half to get it right by the time my number was ported I was out at the store suddenly my phone stopped working I didn't have the new SIM card put in yet I couldn't get a ride home because I couldn't contact Uber. Eventually got a ride home. I tried to purchase a new phone from their site I was approved for credit. Came back to order the phone and the website kept refreshing itself. They said wait until your number is ported and then try again that might be the problem I said okay. So after getting home after being stranded I go to put the new SIM card in and I can't get the phone to operate. I tried to call them and I had to deal with your annoying AF prompt system that had me going round and round in circles no live person. I tried to use the automated system to get my SIM card to work but the automated system kept telling me the phone I was calling them from was the phone I was trying to fix which it wasn't I was using an alternate phone. So I decided to wait on hold for a live person. 2 hours. I had to listen to this annoying music and annoying prompt voice for 2 hours. And then it just connected me! I have the biggest regret of my life. I filled out a help form and they said it will take 3 to 5 days before anybody gets back to me. Seriously? Oh and when I went back to the store to order a new phone, a Samsung 9 plus it was gone. The only phones that I had to order from were some phones that I never heard of a nuu? What is that? And a qlink fone, obviously a TracFone which suck $#*!. I think I'm going to go back to SafeLink.
I have had Qlink for over a year and a half and it is excellent coverage, I never have dropped calls and the customer Service is Awesome!

Anything qlink advertises as "unlimited" is the opposite. I just talked to over 5 different customer service representatives and they cant understand anything i tried to explain to them. My acp/lifeline unlimited talk/text/data plan (that worked so slow the entire time having it) randomly stopped working completely. I called the automated help hotline and it told me i have 0 minutes of talk and 0 text and have used 9.58 out of my 5g data plan. So i called the customer service line (that takes around 30mins to 1.5 hours to get ahold of someone) and explained what happened. NONE OF THEM CARED. They said "it's just because i am out of my plans monthly data and text limit and it will refill on the 1st of next month." I asked them how only 10Gs of data is reaching my "unlimited" data limit and they said it's because i don't have any more high speed but my data is still active. It's not active i know the difference between a slow ah phone and one with literally nothing loading at all. I asked to speak to someone who could actually help me maybe since the person i was talking to just kept repeating the same sentence and wasn't helping me. She said it will be 16 minutes. SIXTEEN MINUTES. I then was on hold and the automated system was counting down my minutes every other 5 minutes until it got to like 6 minutes left… Tell me why i was waiting on hold today listening to terrible elevator music for THREE AND A HALF HOURS LIKE COME ON. Im not a angry person and even after having to recall after the 3.5 hours were waisted i was still calm to the next representative. When i told her i was just on hold for that long she said "well thank you for your patience" Girl… you guys flat out lie to your customers about everything. I immediately switched to truconnect just now so hopefully they are better. Apparently im not the only one qlink switched plans on people after around 2-3 months of using their service. Answer: I mean they provide cell service not internet that's two different animals all together. LOL you can turn your phone into a hotspot, which then allows you to tether your tablet to the phone and use its cell data but I think actually the only cost is $5 a month that's unlimited everything so I think just about anyone can afford that. But they actually send a SIM card which I believe was for the tablet and I never put it in so it could be it already came with cell service I haven't paid anything in months except for one time $5 and for all I know that was for shipping and receiving. As far as the $30 phone bill the government you already getting free service so you could apply that $30 towards the internet service if you have a provider in the area that's cheap but reliable. Good luck on that. If you need to know how to set your phone up as a hotspot you turn on Bluetooth for one but the best thing to do is just Google it say turn phone into hotspot and connect tablet for Android it will give you full directions.

Answer: To my experience with this company since 2018 i never had to pay a dime if your being asked for money RUN run very fast they are trying to scam you because this program is 100 % free --phone --sim card --activation--only money out of pocket maybe for 2nd time go around if you loose your phone drop the sim card in the garbage disposal or belter yet the toilet but no $$$$ ALL FREE

Answer: If it is a real Qlink email and not someone phishing for info when the package comes don't open it, Write on it "Return to Sender" your singing the song in your head, huh. Depending on your age that was an Elvis Presley song in the 50's or 60's. If it asks for any kind of information do not answer. I get one that say my (department store) order is on the way. If you get a text message and says to send "Stop" to a phone number don't do it. Most likely it is testing to see if you have an active, valid number. Anything internet, phone or text that you don't know who or what it is "Spam it" and delete. Even if you know the person there's a chance when you open it. My address book got hijacked on Facebook and sent everyone on it a virus. I don't FB anymore. It's a pretty sorry person that sends a virus to people they don't know.
Answer: I agree with the previous answer I had SafeLink years ago it takes forever to get it's not as good a service I couldn't get calls inside of my residence. It was terrible I would definitely go with QLink it's so much better in so many ways I don't think there's a question here really. They even sent me a free tablet or I think it was $5 although it's older and it's slow it's free and it does work. You have to make sure you connect it to LTE or 4G rather than 5G it is not a 5G tablet nor I don't believe the phone is either it's 4G also.
Answer: Mine got limited data but still can use calls and text if you run out of data. And it's almost June of 2024 and I am still using my free government service. Maybe however you got this program ei. In WA state you have to be TANF or SNAP and sometimes you have to renew you benefits like my food stamps I have to do that every 6 Months in WA state. So maybe you need to check if that's what your state program works!
