Rip off scam artists! Do not book anything through this company! Appeared to be booking direct with the hotel, charged me $43.00 in taxes and fees without first disclosing these fees!
Worst experience on the phone I've ever had. Everyone there is dumber then a box of rocks and unprofessional. This place needs serious help. Dont book with them unless you want robbed and lied to. And no, I'm not exaggerating.
I was somehow redirected to this site during the booking process. They charged me $43 more than the advertised rate on the hotel website and when I caught as soon as I hit reserve and the actual name of the site popped up I called and they refused to help. Worst customer service and major charges you don't see until you book. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
Booked hotel in Boise, got confirmation and charged my credit card.
Went to hotel to when time came and no room! Called 1800 number and lady wanted my credit card info again. I said this is a "scam" and she wouldnt respond to my questions. Turned into credit card and they are disputing.
Booked a Hotel Room for one night: price 279$. Then got slapped with almost 80$ additional, without no warning, only AFTER I had hit the pay button. Of course, the whole thing is non refundable, and there was no live agent to take my call when I complained. Never again!
My husband mistakenly clicked on their link, thinking he was booking directly with the hotel.
Agent said no rooms left at given hotel. Called him ten minutes later to say there had been a cancellation, but since there was only one room, it was entirely non refundable upon booking...
He hurried to book it, and then called me to confirm. I had my suspicions, called hotel directly, and of course - cheaper through hotel, no 15$ booking charge, and PLENTY of rooms available.
I made an error. I booked with the wrong location of embassy suites. Money gone. No exchange. No transfer to the correct embassy suites just down the road. No nothing. Tried to dispute it with my credit card. No help there, either.
Never use any company that uses reservations.com. Never use Embassy Suites.
Money gone.
Was somehow routed to reservations.com while trying to make a reservation from the hotel website. Once the reservation was made I noticed they had charged me $75 in taxes/fees for one night in a $230 room. Called the hotel and was told that room would have only incurred $25 in taxes and fees through them. The email confirmation said I could cancel but when I navigated to the link, there was a pop up that said i could get a refund for $15 if i clicked that I would not cancel. I did NOT click that button, and clicked cancel instead and it logged it as my accepting the $15 refund and turned the reservation into a non-refundable reservation. I then called the customer service number where I waited on hold for 30min to talk to someone who told me there was no way it could be refunded. I asked to speak to a manager, and was put on hold again for another 20min, and then told a manager would call me back. Nobody ever called me back. This is clearly a scam site. I'm disputing this charge with my credit card company.
This service SUCKS. They get you no matter what. $15.00 non-refundable the minute you make a reservation. Then they tack on nearly $100 in "fees & taxes" PER NIGHT. Disgusting. You'd do much better booking directly with hotels.
I booked a room for one night, I then needed to add a night. The website cookies kept the same dates from the last reservation, creating a reservation for two room the same night. I spoke with the Hotel, they told me that the third party reservation service had to talk with them directly. I called Reservations.com for a second time in 5 minutes and was told no refunds and no modifications. What kind of reservation company doesn't allow modifications of itineraries? Long story short I lost $240 because I used Reservations.com. I have traveled for business for that last 25 years, pre internet booking and onward, this is the first time I have ever run into this issue. I have booked thousands of hotel rooms and made hundreds of itinerary changes over the last 25 years.
We used this site to book hotel rooms for our family. The reservation was fine, but they charged us twice! I have called and emailed to try to fix this, but no one seems to speak English. I do no recommend this service.
On first impression it looks like a very convenient way to make reservation. They also make it seem very simple to cancel a reservation when life happens and you can't make it. They do say that you will forfeit you 14.99 res fee... totally appropriate but they don't tell you your not getting anything back no matter what... What a racket! Book directly folks these guys are crooks.
My mother thought she was booking directly with the hotel online, however reservations.com weaseled their way into transaction. Definalty takeing advantage of innocent people who may not be avid internet users. We live in Canada, the hotel we booked was in Canada, yet she was charged in US dollors. Why? My mom asked 3 times what the total was to be charged to her credit card each time they guaranteed the total was 156.90 ca, but she was actually billed 217.24 us + a random aditional charge of 14.99ca that went up to 20.76 us dollors. So in total she paid 237.24. Nearly $82.00 more than they said would be charged. Compleate bull $#*! scam of a company tricking people and lying. A compleat inconvenience
Less than a minute after I clicked reserve room, I realized that I had not entered the correct dates and had to cancel. When I called them, the customer person said" sorry, you cannot cancel. I continued to pursue my refund and they finally sent me a confirmation that my reservation was sucessfully cancelled, however they still have not credited back charge on my AMEX card. I am disputing through Amex. Reservations.com does not clearly show that one is making a non refundable reservation until they send confirmation. Then, according to them, it is too late! There should be 24 grace period when one can cancel.
Horrible customer service, could not refund your money, OR reschedule your booking date. DO NOT USE THIS SITE! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
I've contacted them several times about a refund for a reservation for a room at a hotel that was hit by a tornado and wasn't open for business. They asked for documentation and then I never heard back. They're impossible to get a refund from and I will never book with reservations.com again. Terrible customer service!
Shame on you for your ridiculous price increase addition! Once burned. Will NEVER USE YOU AGAIN.! We could hsve gotten this place much cheaper, but went through your site only to see the extra charges... later. Done with you.
I made reservations on 29 April for a quality Inn for 23-26 May 2019. There was a choice of two rates per night. One that was no penalty for canceling and a lower nightly rate with penalty for canceling. I chose the higher rate. I just tried to change the date of arrival from the 23rd to the 24th. I was told that I made a reservation that could not be changed and if I did I could not get any refund. I read the cancellation policy of the hotel for my reservation and it says I can cancel without penalty before as long as I cancel before 21 May. Reservations.com says I can cancel however I will not receive any refund.
Much better to search on line for the hotel and make your reservations with them directly.
I made an online reservation and when I entered my credit card number the price jumped significantly from the advertised price. I immediately called to cancel the reservation. I asked for the cancellation number and was told she was unable to provide it. I was charged $432.47 on my credit card and 45 days later still had not received the refund. I called again and was told they could not find the reservation. Yet they charged my credit card. I have to file a dispute with the credit card company now. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!
This company is horrible. I accidentally booked through them not knowing it was reservations.com. I asked for a refundable rate and they did not inform me there would be a $14.99 fee for this. I just found it on my statement. I was booking for 4 weekends - 4 different reservations - charged $14.99 fee for each one. I called to cancel one night of my reservation but keep the other. They informed me the rate has changed. How has rate changed if it is already booked and I paid fee to cancel/change? I paid $340. For 2 nights and they only refunded me $120 due to a so called rate change. I should have received $170. Refund. This company rips you off and should not be in business.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
