Took an hour on the phone, the rates changed a few times while talking - they went up. THen 1 month later they were lower. I will never use them again. A complete ripoff. Buyer beware
Don't let this website fool you by advertising rates lower than all competitors. I was completely mislead when I thought I was saving $30 on a room through this company vs any where else. They had me hooked, then after booking I realized there was another $160 fee on top of the $403 room ($563 total), this is after all credit card information was collected. Thats $130 more than booking through any other website and even through the hotel itself. My fault right? Within minutes of realizing the error, I had called to speak to someone. He just kept saying "Sorry but you made the error". He would not let me speak to any one above him saying they did not speak to customers. You'd think the travel industry would be based on clients not customers right? Well I will never become a client of theirs, and its still over 72hrs until my reservation and I'm an unhappy customer. Shame on you reservations.com for poor customer care. All you had to do was lower your "service fee" to a reasonable rate to satisfy me and avoid a negative review. You are heartless.
They post their prices in Canadian dollars, charge your credit card in USD ( at a very creative rate)
While in Canada I tried to book a hotel MONTHS in advance. Seeing that I was charged in USD I cancelled, and guess what: the company refunded me at a very creative rate, so I lost money for nothing else but dealing with them
I contacted their so-called customer service to complain and guess what? They had the nerve to tell me my reservation was refunded.
Don't deal with them if you don't want to waste your time and money
TOTALLY MISLEADING! Website mimics the hotel website. I thought I was booking through the hotel. Turns out I was not! As soon as I realized, I called to cancel (5 minutes later). I was charged a NONREFUNDABLE "booking fee" of $19.99 and my card get charged immediately and they say it will take 10-15 days to get a refund. Called Customer Service and got a total run around. NEVER USE THIS SCAM COMPANY - DOUBLE CHECK TO ENSURE YOU ARE ON THE ACTUAL HOTEL SITE IF DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH FOR HOTELS
I was trying to book a room at the Watermark Hotel in Osoyoos BC, Canada for a 3 day stay. I had thought that I called the actual hotel however Reservations.com was on the top of the website for Watermark indicating it was the in-house reservations for the Hotel. They quoted me a rate of $1128 for three nights. No mention of a cancellation policy however I knew that Watermark had a one week prior to reservation of a full refund.
When I looked at my Visa account, it showed $1574 charged. I immediately called and the clerk indicated that they were quoting in US dollars? This is a Canadian hotel, I live in Canada and I paid through a Canadian Visa account. I then said that I want to cancel the reservation to this company and they stated that they would provide a full refund of which I taped the conversation.
Also, when later reviewing my confirmation, in fine print it indicated that there was a once day cancellation penalty. I then called the hotel directly and they said that there policy is a full refund. I then went on the Expedia website and booked the same three nights for $1234 with free 100% cancellation one week prior to the reservation.
I now looked at my Visa statement and Reservations.com only refunded $793 vs my payment to them of $1574. $781 penalty for one night when the first night was approximately $400 including taxes?
Please stay away from Reservation.com. I see now that they only have a 1 star rating. I believe that is only because you do not have a zero star.
They took nearly all of my mother's money, and then led her on by telling her they would give her a refund.
It has been almost six months, and they are not returning her calls OR emails. This is NOT a legitimate
Business, it's criminal behavior. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
They make money from setting currency in USD even for Canadian buyers. They made around 500$ CAD on my 4-night stay. The hotel was charging 678$ CAD for the whole stay and was charged 1100$ CAD by reservations.com
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP
I work for Auburn University's Graduate Recruiting. I was going to recruit UAB's Honor School on Friday March 20th. I made a reservation through this company for the night of the 19th. Due to the coronovirus situation the event has been cancelled. I called Reservations. Com to cancel my hotel because of coronovirus and was told they don't cancel reservations. This is not my fault and am giving them 4 days notice not 24 hours as most company's allow. Please refund to my card I used. Res# R******* Itin# **************
The cancelation policy is such to trick you! I booked my hotel on Dunday and had to cancel on Tuesday. I read the cancelation policybthat my booking was subject to one night cancelation room charge but after 4/4. I canceled on 4/2 and was still charged the one night room. The customer service lady on the phone agreed with me on how the policy read but still charged me the one night room. This is horrible and I will be escalating this further! They pray on people to get their money! Do not use this company for booking hotel rooms! I am so upset over this!
I have contacted the Better business bureau They scammed me saying there were the reservation center for Hyatt Place. I called the hotel and told them I had to go to a funeral for my aunt they were very nice saying they had not problems but RESERVATION.com will not after many many phone calls, put on hold 30 or more minutes at a time, will never let you have a supervisor. I will follow this to the end. FRAUD and SCAM
We thought we were on the Hotel website and we called the number on top to make our reservation. The reservation process went well until the Taxes and Fees of almost 25% was being charged. The State and Local Tax for the Hotel was 13%. When I checked in at the Hotel I requested a breakdown of the taxes and fees that were charged. At that time I was informed that my reservation was made thru Reservations.com and I would have to talk to them. I had several communications with Reservations.com and they flatly Refused to give me a breakdown of the Taxes and Fees. Obviously because the sum of the Taxes & Fees was about $100 LESS than what I was charged. I will be VERY much more aware of who I am dealing with in the future because RESERVATIONS.COM Will NOT be my agent.
Thought i was calling the hotel we were going to stay at but i guess not. They told me the price thought it was for 2 nites but it wasnt it was for 1 nite. Very expensive. Got charged 14.99 for something i was never
Tolded about. And you are in the Philippines, no wonder you cant understand what they are saying. I see how people can get confused with the reservations. I will never go thru them again and tell family and friends about the scam they have going on. Not happy at all. If i could i wouldnt even give them a star. There isnt a negative star even to give them.
They refuse to refund when MS SKI event was cancelled due to coronavirus. Terrible service. Hijacked reservation that I was trying to make directly with the hotel. Charge a rip off $20 for nothing!
No stars if I could…. NEVER EVER EVER WILL I USE THEM. $19.95 non refundable fee was never relayed to me until after I booked. I only saw in after the fact in an email I received. I tried to call back and he said they would "investigate" because every phone call is recorded. Then he said he would transfer me to the supervisor then he HUNG UP. SO MAD.
If I could click on a sub-star I would. Inadvertently made hotel reservation through them. I thought I was dealing with the hotel directly and the agent did not identify herself as a third party. She did not ask for my email or phone number. A receipt would have been sent to my email if the agent had done her job correctly. Therefore, no receipt to turn in to the travel insurance company due to trip interruption. When I called them they were unable to find my reservation (which apparently can only be accessed by using my email or phone number--again, something never requested). They could not look up anything by my name or itinerary number provided when the reservation was made. I could not believe they were unable to look up my account using my name. I had contacted Expedia first, who kept giving me new numbers to call and finally ended up with reservations.com. In addition, they were deceitful because there was also a $14.99 booking fee which was never mentioned. This is quite possibly the worst customer service department I've ever dealt with. Because of this I'll NEVER deal with Expedia again--at least as long as they work with reservations.com. However, they had no problem charging my credit card. I disputed the charge and they had no problem refuting the dispute. Because they had to prove the charge, Expedia actually had to provide a receipt. What a shame!
I would not even give them a full star. I was making a reservation at a hotel site & the site linked me to Reservations. Com. It linked me to a completely different hotel in Italy ( my destination was NY) Within 5 minutes I realized the error & called their customer service dept. Was on hold for 5 more min& tried to explain the problem to a woman or should I say a robot who did not understand English I contacted them by email multiple times & it took them 4 1/2 weeks to respond AND REFUSE MY REQUEST TO CANCEL.
I would never recommend them & would appreciate this review to be generated throughout the web
In July 2017 I booked room in Bermuda through Expedia, or so I thought. I apparently was directed to reservation.com. Looked the same. I did not get a confirmation email and could find no other info so the next day I booked it again. I immediately got a email confirmation. However now I had two exact reservation but did not know it until our credit card bill arrived showing two charges for the same amount. It took several painful phone calls with their staff in the Philippines to obtain one cancelation. (Btw, 10-15 business days for them to process to your bank.) It was finally accomplished. We were left with one reservation for a room in Bermuda. Now, today we received a cancellation notice for the remaining reservation. (Shaking my head in confusion). First call to reservations.com ended in an automated dead end. Called again making a sales selection. Of course got through. They tried to tell me I cancelled the reservation. (Still shaking my head, now in disbelief). In the end, the reservation remains cancelled. We called the hotel directly and booked a new room. This company is at best, unprofessional. They did their best to double charge us and keep an extra $2500. Pay attention to your credit card bills and be careful of the redirect when booking hotels on Expedia or any other travel website.
I was not aware of using this site in making a recent reservation. They charged my card 4 times plus two times for a 15.99 reservation fee I never agreed to. Never again
When booking a room, I asked for and was guaranteed free parking for 7 days as I flew. Once at the hotel, I found the free parking was a lie. I tried to cancel but could not. Had to scramble to find affordable parking well away from the hotel. I never stayed there and was charged more than had I just called the desk. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
A very uncomplicated site. Have a plethora of hotels you can book from with various prices. I got a decent four stars for a steal. Very satisfied will definitely use their services again
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
