I booked a reservation with what I thought was the hotel chain - but turns out it was Reservations.com and this was not disclosed. When the charge was read to me I questioned the taxes because they seemed high. The rep chuckled and said that the taxes and hotel fees are what they are and that I could look at them on my receipt and if I wanted to cancel I could do so at not cost to me. Well that was not true there was a cost - a non refundable 14.99 fee. When I called to cancel the reservation they cancelled the reservation and then told me they could not refund my money to me minus the 14.99 for 10 to 15 business days. I then said well then leave the reservation active since I already paid this inflated price for it. But the rep said sorry he had already cancelled it. When I expressed my frustration with their dishonesty he defaulted to the fact that I should have read the small fine print terms and conditions. Great customer service - so for their desire to essentially steel funds from customers through not disclosing who they are and what there fees are, they claim that is justified through their terms and conditions. Disgusting - a service I will be sure to let everyone I know on social media not to use.
I had made a reservation for a vacation of seven nights. I thought I was dealing with the hotel website but I wasn't. I was dealing with thereservations.com that is who I was directed to from the hotel website. I had to cancel after one night to go care for my elderly mother eight hours away. She's 85, housebound and crippled. She had to have my assistance as a caregiver for the balance of my vacation. The hotel creditedreservations.com for the unused portion. They are refusing to Credit me with the unused portion even though they have received their credit. They are horrible to work with if I would give a zero rating I would. I would recommend anyone Think hotel reservations to call the hotel directly. It is not worth using third-party sites they are a rip off and play games with people. Hotel even wrote a letter to reservations.com stating that They happily canceled my reservations due to the unfortunate circumstances. Shame onreservations.com
BEWARE check final total before using this site. Or better yet DON'T USE. They add 3 times the actual taxes and fees. Plus an additional $19.99 service fee.
I made a reservation on this site by actually calling them due to me being an exhibitor at the Covention Center we were supposed to get a specific room rate of $179.00 a night for three nights and I explained this to the barely understandable lady on the phone who had no idea what I was talking about but said she would match the price which was great. I pay for the 3 night reservation with my credit card. A few moments after getting off the phone with the lady from India I get an email confirmation of my reservation only to be shocked beyond belief.
They ca
Charged my credit card $881.76 for with resort fees should have been less than $680.00
They charged my credit card for an additional $19.00 for a nonrefundable reservation fee that was not disclosed on their website.
I called reservations. Com back within 10 minutes of making the reservation to cancel and I had to threaten them with filing a complaint with the attorney general for deceptive trade practices before they would refund the money back to me. During all this i asked both ladies I talked to if there was someone in their office that could speak better English because I was having such a hard time communicating with them. I was ignored both times only to infuriate one for suggesting that she could not speak English well enough for me to understand what she was saying half of the conversation.
I have no idea how this business is even in business with the sketchy way they conduct business which hinges on deceptive and illegal.
I personally will be filing a complaint with the attorney general's office.
ZERO STARS is more appropriate than ONE. First, the website and URL is designed to appear as the hotel's reservation system, which it isn't. Second the rate shown is in US Dollars, though you can only find that out by scrolling to the very bottom where there is a dropdown in the fine print. Note that when i changed the selected rate on their site to CAD dollars (at the bottom) the rate showed up marked as CAD dollars, but the exchange was reversed (ie the rate for same room was 179 CAD - compared to 226 (no currency displayed) which was in US$.) Then the fun begins.
The cancellation policy notes you have until midnight of two days BEFORE you make your reservation to cancel.
I called to dispute the US dollar discrepancy within minutes of reserving and was told it was a non-cancellable transaction. They know EXACTLY what they are doing and should be Jailed.
Traveling in the car I got my friend to dial a number that was under the picture of a hotel we wished to check for balcony views of the ocean. ( we were going to Ocean City, Md.)
Agent offered a balcony room on the ocean side for $87.60. He said this was refundable and not to worry. I stressed my concerns several times about what I would accept. My friends heard the conversation since it was thru my car speaker. Got to hotel...not a balcony with ocean view, Balcony on the side of the building. Only an hr had passed from making the reservation to arriving at the hotel. Clerk informed me that I had not made a reservation with the hotel directly, which is what is thought that I had called. He said everything was already paid for and I would have to go back to the source. I tried to cancel on line, since I was sitting in the hotle parking lot upset. I was told I could not and had to talk to customer service. After holding for 30 mins I gave up and then stopped to pull up the reservation on my phone. I was charged a service fee of $15.99. This is outrageous as I was not informed. The agent lied about the room, did not tell me about the truth about the cancellation policy. Complete deception on this companies fault or at the least the agent. BEWARE.
This company charged $204 ( including all fess), for our reservation, found there was a non-refunable $!(<(( service fee not listed, I called the front dest@ hotel & found out that had I called the hotel frount desk, we could have booked the room for $155 including all fees. Reservations, com charged almost $50,00 more with much more restrictive cancelation & changing charges, that Radisson did not have. The customer service would only refund the &19,99. The original charge was $224,99. We will never use again, reservation # was: R*******238(did not know how to do screen pront for proof.
I would give zero stars if I could. Everyone makes mistakes. I mistakenly booked a resort hotel for one night, less than 24 hours out. Ten minutes after booking, I realized that I had booked the wrong resort hotel. The hotel I had intended to book was in a different city, but had the same name. I immediately called the number for cancellation to get this fixed. I was connected to a call center in India and could barely hear the agent for all the static. They could neither switch my reservation NOR refund my credit card. All they offered to do was cancel the reservation with no refund. After much complaining, they agreed to a refund, but... They wanted me to open a paypal acount to refund the money charged to my credit card. This is unacceptable. My card was charged, they can apply the refund to my card. I asked for a supervisor who was very rude and he told me "you made the reservation on your own online. No refund". Terrible customer service. I have been in the hospitality industry for 20 years. This type of thing happens all the time and is easily fixed almost 100% of the time. I will never make the mistake of using Reservations.com ever again. They cancelled my reservation and kept my money. THEY CHARGE $20 TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION! AVOID! Call the property directly. I guarantee I would have been refunded had I booked directly.
I booked a quick getaway through them for a casino in Cherokee, NC. What they posted and what the actual hotel was wasnt even close. I was charged all kinds of fees and they totally misrepresented with old photos that looked like nothing there. When we arrived, I spoke to the hotel manager that said he wasn't able to refund our money because it was booked with Reservations.com. The day we returned I contacted them immediately. I was told by their agent that I would have had to cancel the day prior in order to be refunded. I repeatedly explained to them that they misrepresented the hotel and was told, "too bad, your not getting your money back", then they hung up. I have now contacted by bank and had them investigate the issue 3 times. I provided multiple photo's along with letters and they still are fighting that the charge stands. I would not EVER USE OR RECCOMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I WOULD RATHER NOT TAKE A VACATION THEN USE THEM! Reservations.com are nothing more than a bunch of crooks that lie and cheat you!
This is ridiculous! It seems like you're calling the hotel direct and then it's an additional $20. Why is this place in business and how can this be done that they appear to hijack the hotels nunber?
Total rip-off! They don't reveal all their (hidden) fees until after they charge your credit card. They also charge non-refundable fees - even when claiminging 'free' cancellation. Shut them down!
High fees, stay away from this booking site. They charge your credit card immediately even when your stay is weeks away. They also overcharged under the tax line item.
Lots of great things to do within walking distance. CVS and Walgreens are only a few blocks away if you need anything and plenty of great places to eat.
RESERVATIONS.COM IS A SCAM... DON'T DO IT! I JUST TRIED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS WITH SANDESTIN GOLF AND BEACH RESORT SO I THOUGHT AND ENDED UP ON THE PHONE WITH THESE CON ARTIST! I TRIED TO BOOK THIS HOTEL FOR MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND AND I GOT CONCERNED WHEN I NEVER RECEIVED AN CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM THE HOTEL. I THEN TRIED TO CALL BACK TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED ONLY TO FIND OUT FROM RESERVATIONS.COM THAT I HAD NO RESERVATION WITH THEM NOR DO THEY HAVE ANY INFORMATION WHERE I BOOKED THIS HOTEL. THEY WERE ALSO VERY RUDE AND I GOT HUNG UP ON A FEW TIMES... SO NOW IM IN THE PROCESS OF DISPUTING THIS CHARGE WITH MY BANK. RESERVATIONS.COM HAS CHARGED ME TWICE ON 2 SEPARATE DAYS $14.99 FROM THEM AND ALSO $370.28 FROM HOTELS.COM. WTF! I WILL NEVER DO THESE AGAIN BUT IM DAMN SURE GOING TO FIGHT TO GET MY MONEY BACK IF I HAVE TO TAKE THEIR ASSES TO COURT. IM ALSO CALLING CONSUMER AFFAIRS ON THEM AS WELL. PLEASE BEWARE!
Have you ever did something and regretted it for years? Book with these folks then have a serious family emergency. They don5 give a damn and when talk to them you can barely understand a word they are saying. It's so damn loud you can barely here them.
JUST GO STRAIGHT TO THE HOTELS SITE AND BOOK. NEVER USING THESE GREEDY $#*! PIGS AGAIN!
I ALSO WAS SCAMMED INTO BELIEVING THAT i WAS BOOKING A ROOM WITH THE HOTEL. WHEN i GOTTEN MY BILL, THERE WAS A FEE OF 42.83 FROM RESERVATIONS.COM FOR WHAT? I CONTACTED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND DISPUTED CLAIM. RESERVATIONS.COM CAME BACK WITH THE ANSWER i DID NOT READ THE FINE PRINT! WHAT A RIPOFF! BTW THIS COMPANY IS EXPEDIA BY ANOTHER NAME WHO OVER BOOKS ROOMS. IT HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL YRS AGO. SUCH A SHAM!
DO NOT I repeat DO NOT EVER use this website to book a hotel. I booked a room for my husband for North Carolina for his work and he got to the hotel and they did not have the room. I called reservations.com and they told me that they accidentally booked the room for New Mexico instead of North Carolina. They were so unhelpful and did not care one bit that my husband was STRANDED without a hotel room because they incorrectly booked the room in a whole different state. Not to mention the fact that told me they could not give me a refund because of their cancellation policy. So all in all I had to pay for this hotel in New Mexico AND another hotel so that my husband would actually have a place to sleep that night. Overall they're people that do not care about you and will steal your money. DO NOT BOOK HERE!
This is my second booking with the reservations.com, as I had the amazing service and experience, the initial time I booked a hotel for my business trip. The customer service staff was excellent, kind and helpful. They have plenty of options to choose from, satisfying various needs of their customers. If you're looking for a nice and safe place to stay with affordable prices, you got to look into reservations.com! Fantastic options, same view of the hotels as show in the images with satisfying service at the hotel. We had the perfect start to our memorable holiday that started here before our memorable cruise which was two days later. The hotel we chose was an oasis of calm, absolute bliss! The setting, staff, rooms and dining was fabulous. Nothing negative to say everything was perfect. We had to do the booking at the last minute, still it was fortunate enough that numerous options were available to us and we were not disappointed with our choice. The rooms were so clean, the
Staff so attentive. The location is perfect as well, within quick walking to the road. We loved the food, the amenities everything. One main reason for booking through reservations is it had the option for cancelling the booking, considering the rough weather we had. Overall, best experience with reservastions.com and highly highly recommend!
While attempting to book a reservation on the hotel's website I was redirected to reservations.com without my knowledge. My sisters booked rooms at the same hotel but for a significantly lower rate and brought this to my attention. It was only when I checked my reservation that I realized it was not made directly through the hotel's site. Reservations.com should be ashamed of themselves for misleading and scamming people. I ended up losing 19.99 for a "service fee" that they refused to refund back to me. BE CAREFUL WHEN MAKING A HOTEL RESERVATION THAT YOU DON'T GET SCAMED BY RESERVATIONS.COM LIKE I DID!
Popped up looking like a legit booking site for hotel. Never disclosed a $19.99 "service fee". Refusing to refund, even though it was never disclosed.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
