Inexpensive, very clean. Owners are very friendly. I plan to stay there again next time I am in Athens
When I made a reservation with a Hilton Hotel, I thought I was talking to the Hilton agent. Not once did the person on the other end say they were reservations.com. I made a reservation. I though it strange that they would take the full amount of my reservation without checking into the hotel. When I hung up the phone i immediately realized I had made a mistake. I called the hotel I thought I was speaking with and they said i had no reservation in my name.
I called back reservations.com (within like, five mins) and was told my charges were non refundable. $517! I told them at no time was I told I was talking with reservations.com and not the Hilton. They said, tough. We have a non refund policy. Remember... I had only made the reservation five minutes earlier. Plus, I had no reservation at the Hotel.
When I got to the hotel i gave them the reservation number that reservations.com had given me. It meant nothing to the hotel and I had no reservation. I was actually at the hotel that reservations.com told me about. I spoke with the Manger and they said they had no reservation under my name or the reservation number provided. In fact, all Hilton reservation numbers begin with "3" mine began with "9".
So, I paid for my room. When I checked out I again checked to make sure there was no reservation through reservations.com. There was not.
I took the Managers name. I called my bank and they spoke with reservations.com and were also told they had a non refund policy and there was nothing they could do. So, I paid reservations.com $517 for my hotel room. I never got it. I then paid the hotel for the room, another $517.
I spoke with reservations.com again and they said I would not be getting a refund. So, where was my reservation and what was the reservation number I had? They said they didn't know.
This so called company is nothing more than a shady, rip off merchant and if there was another way for me to destroy them I would.
DO NOT USE THEM> IF YOU DO, BE PREPARED TO GET RIPPED OFF>
I highly recommend this platform. It offers you too many options and it is easy to use! Also it offers the best prices!
I would highly recommend that no one uses Reservations.com for any of your reservations. I recently booked a Hotel with them for my scheduled conference in Dallas, Texas. I was advised that the hotel has all of the amenities including safe parking. However, when I arrived at my hotel in Dallas, Texas I was surprised to learn that the hotel had no parking and the closets paid parking was approximately 7 to 10 minutes walking distance in hot 92-degree weather while at the same time, many sidewalks were closed due to construction in the area which required people to often walk on the side of the roadway. Furthermore, While checking into the Hotel, La Quinta Inn & Suites By Wyndham Dallas Downtown, 302 S Houston St, Dallas, Texas *******, I noticed that people were walking around the lobby area all high and the smell of marijuana was making me smell like a walking marijuana plant. I advised the clerk that I need closer parking due to items that I was scheduled to take with me every day while I was attending the conference and having to walk to a parking lot that was no were near the hotel was not a good option. The hotel clerk reported that I had to contact the party where I booked my reservation. I immediately contacted Reservations.com and explained to the customer service the misinformation provided to me at which time, Reservations.com after acknowledging the inconvenience stated that they could not cancel the reservation and refused to allow the days after to even be canceled. I advised Reservations.com that I would contact my credit card provider and dispute the charge since I was misled into booking at this horrible location. To top it off, the room next to me was having a party at 5 PM blasting music and I was able to hear it as soon as I stepped out of the elevator. Please be careful if you decide to use reservations.com. They will refuse to cancel any part of your reservations and what you are told is not what you will see with your own eyes once you arrive at your destination.
Hidden fees and they will not cancel a reservation. I called customer service and they just put me on hold as soon as i complained until I hung up...
On-Line Consumer BEWARE! This scam operation poses as an actual hotel reservation desk; which youll find out later when RESERVATIONS.COM., charges your credt card. I had contacted the actual hotel to cancel my room reservations, which were accepted and cancelled. Four days later, RESERVATIONS.COM., charged, and are currently holding, the $377.96, hotel reservation fee; in addition to a RESERVATIONS.COM., Service Charge, of $12.99. For 17 days straight I have been calling the RESERVATION.COM. S Customer Support, which is located in ASIA, requesting that the erroneous charges be removed from my credit card. RESERVATIONS.COM., Headquarters is located in Orlando, Florida, and their Florida operation does NOT have public telephone access. So, contact is absolutely limited to the RESERVATIONS.COM., ASIAN Call Center, and the ASIAN Call Center individuals are only permitted to listen to my request/complaint and to then forward it by email to the RESERVATIONS.COM Headquarters, in Orlando. I have however; received a random email from a Karen and/or Camille; advising that I have WAIT while they RESEARCH the charge(s). Since the hotel has never received payment from RESERVATIONS.COM., for the room reservations, they cannot help with the refund; and, because they actually have no relationship with RESERVATIONS.COM., they cannot provide any assistance. I believe that my last, and only other recourse, is to dispute the charges that were erroneously placed on my charge card by RESERVATIONS.COM., with my credit card company, and to then file a FRAUD Report against RESERVATIONS.COM., with the Orlando Police Department.
I went to the Delta Chelsea Hotel website and was somehow rerouted to Reservations.com to complete my reservation which I didn't realize until after I completed the booking. Then there's a message that my reservation in non-refundable. I've never heard of that in my 49 years. We booked this hotel to go to Toronto to see a concert which was, months later, cancelled due to lead singer's illness. I called Reservations.com to cancel and try to get a refund due to the circumstances. I was speaking to someone from a foreign country and all I could understand during the conversation was that I could cancel the reservation but I would under no circumstances receive any kind of refund. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS WEBSITE AND BE CAREFUL, because they claim to be an extension of Expedia so you may want to check when you book, that it doesn't re-route you to this website without you realizing it, like I did. THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN and I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR MONEY.
Makes you believe your on providers website then adds 20% to your purchase at checkout... adds no value
Scam site, pretending they are the hotel you are looking for. Stay away from them and go directly to the hotel instead.
They charge service fee $14.99! I called them about it and they just said it is in the term and conditions. Bad
After multiple attempts to contact them days later and threats to the BBB we were finally refunded our charges yet still charged a service fee
Trying to cancel a Reservation same day as purchase months from today and reservation.com refused. This is Fraud
BEWARE! THIS IS NOT A REAL RESERVATION SITE. THEY WILL CHARGE YOUR CARD AND NOT MAKE THE RESERVATION, AND YOU WILL BE STUCK IN A STRANGE CITY WITH NO HOTEL RESERVATION.
My wife booked a reservation for a Hampton Inn in northern California while driving north on California's Interstate 5. She thought she was talking to the Hampton's reservation line, but she was talking to someone at reservations.com. The person at reservations.com took her request and our credit card info without mentioning that there is a $14.99 fee for booking through them. When we got to the Hampton, they did not have our reservation. My wife redialed the phone number she'd used and realized she was talking to reservations.com. It was then that she learned they had booked us into a Super 8 motel in upper New York State, roughly 3,000 miles from the California Hampton Inn she had asked for.
It has taken several long phone calls and much arguing to get these bozos to take the charges off of our card. They now say the charges will be removed within 10-15 days. Before I lobbied them into refunding the room charge in New York -- and their $14.99 service charge -- they told me several times they would not do a refund; the motel would not do a refund; and no one at the Super 8 motel was answering their phone.
Funny thing is that I had no trouble getting Carlos, the night manager at the the New York Super 8, on the line. Carlos, who is friendly and helpful, told me that he had zero control over the charges. That was up to reservations.com. Carlos did, however, quickly make sure our incorrect reservation was cancelled at his end. That was all he could do to help clean up reservation.com's error.
Seldom have I dealt with a company that is so quick to blow off a customer when the error is clearly theirs. Even the confirming email they sent, which did not arrive in my wife's phone until the next day, says the reservation is for the New York Super 8 in Middletown, but the address is that of the California Hampton Inn. It was a mistake. Everyone makes them, but not everyone lies to customers and makes them jump through hoops to correct an error made by their employee, a faceless person sitting next to a phone somewhere in India.
Bad experience across the board:
- They don't accept cancelations, but they don't call it that way in order to be deceiving. They say that they allow cancellations, but they don't refund any money paid (neither for the hotel price, nor for their $20 fee)! Can you believe it? So they allow "cancelations" in order to charge a client the full paid price (no refund) and pay the hotel nothing! So they trick the client two times: when the client books (as the no-cancellations policy is not displayed properly) and if the client "cancels" because this is when reservations.com makes most of the money (full profit on the full not-refunded hotel fees and zero cost - nothing to pay to the hotel).
- Their (no) cancellation policy is not shown anywhere visible, one has to go get additional documents in order to read all these dirty tricks.
- The site is made (and the advertising is paid by them to show up on top of a search list) in order to trick somebody who does not pay proper attention to believe that they are on the hotel's Reservations' page/website.
- I am Canadian and I booked from Canada for a hotel in another Canadian city and there is no indication that the listed price is in US dollars. I thought that they are in Canadian dollars. I have seen the US dollars only after the price was paid and the electronic invoice was sent.
- Their $20 fee ($19.99 more precisely) is on top of the price shown and not indicated anywhere - as most of the reviewers indicated it, it only shows after it is paid...
- Their customer service know that they do all these dirty tricks and behave accordingly i. E. useless, even trying to make me "cancel" (with no refund) so that they make the most profit.
Bottom line: the law should prohibit such business!
Booking a hotel used to take a long time. Now with Reservations.com, you get to make your hotel reservations in half the time or less!
This company should be avoided... They are just thiefs...
I wonder why this company is allowed to practice in the united states?
They will scam you! They say no refunds! You think you are on a hotel website and you're not. Very misleading.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
