Hidden fees they don't tell you about, no itemization of bill, no recourse after they scam you. Run, don't walk away.

Also, the price is in USD

NOT A GOOD VALUE!
December 15, 2016

I will NEVER use this site again. The rate I was changed was actually higher than the hotel's rate and a $14.99 FEE was added!

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. I un-intentionally ended up reserving a hotel through Reservations.com when I thought I was using the actual hotel's website. The hotel informed me that this is a really easy mistake to make as companies like this, and Priceline, Travelocity, etc., do this when you Google search for a specific hotel. First mistake. Second, I accidentally reserved the hotel for a day early, needed it on the 10th and made the reservation for the 9th. I had passed the cancelation date and time when I caught my mistake, and assumed I'd be able to adjust the reservation for a day later. Nope. Reservations.com views modifications to a reservation to be the same as a cancellation. This is what they told me over and over again. I tried to resolve it, requested a refund because their policy doesn't say anything about modifications, only cancellations. They eventually said they would work to refund me if I could give them proof from the hotel that the hotel was willing the refund me the amount. They sent me the same script in an email requesting either a statement from the hotel saying they were willing to reimburse me. They also said, twice, that if I did not have a statement I could give a contact person whom they could call to verify the hotel was willing to reimburse the charge. They asked for this once, I gave it to them, to which the response was the same script, so I gave it to them again, to which they said the contact person was not enough. Anyway, the hotel agreed to the refund, and they even sent an email and went back and forth with customer service, but Reservations.com made it so hard on the hotel to make this happen that the hotel gave up and went ahead and gave me a reservation for the date that I needed and didn't charge me because I'd paid already for the previous day. Thank you La Quinta Inn and Suites in Butte MT for illustrating what real customer service looks like. And shame on Reservations.com. I will be double checking myself in future to make sure I never make this mistake again, and if given the choice, I will never use Reservations.com again. It's obvious you're only about the profit here, and not helping your customers.

Do not, I repeat do not book with this company. They popped up as an ad and I should've know better. I was excited to take advantage of a room discount with a rate of $74 per night for a king with a sofa bed, and another room for my teenage kids for $80 (presumably not to include taxes). When I spoke to the reservations.com rep she insisted she has the same rates. But when reviewing the total of now $124 and $120 for the rooms via their services, I questioned the amount and she insisted it was for fees and taxes. I then said NEVERMIND, I'll call back later to make a reservation because I'm still not sure if I'll be needing these rooms. The now obvious sales rep insisted it's a free cancellation and pushed for the booking due to possible rate changes, and no availability. Feeling obliged I continue to book (because she comforted me on a free cancellation) I said to her (after confirming) that I did not need the confirmation numbers because I received the emails, in which I read to her the 2 matching confirmations numbers (one for each room). They read off a lengthy warning but she FAILED to include a NON REFUNDABLE $19.99 PER confirmation. The reason why I emphasis this is because I called not even 5 minutes after my booking to cancel my reservation. Immediately I checked my confirmation emails because I knew I would need the codes, and to my shock, and I mean fuming out the ears shock THEN noticed the non refundable $19.99 booking fee. Long story short I'm awaiting an email with the confirmation that the call play back I requested, solidifies (which it will) that the rep did not advise me of a non refundable charge. Now equivalent to $40 which to me is complete BS because technically it's one reservation. SO, DON'T BOOK WITH THEM. EVER. CALL THE HOTEL DIRECTLY. Now I'm sure I'm out $40 (based on other customer reviews) and I'm pretty sure I'm requesting a new credit card, now that these scammers have my info. They also requested my full address which was pretty strange. Usually just a billing zip code will suffice.

BE VERY CAREFUL
June 26, 2016

I was planning a trip to Pittsburgh for the day and stay overnight. When I log onto the Cambria Hotel website, I set up the stay over. When I confirmed the reservation, that is when I noticed an immediate charge to my Visa Credit Card. I then called Cambria Hotel and asked why I was charged immediately for our stay over. That is when I was told I had used an outside booking agent. I asked the clerk to cancel the reservation and remove the charge. She said she could not because I went through an outside agency. The clerk told me I would have to contact the booking agent and asked them to remove the charges. Once that was done the booking agent would then call th hotel and request the charge be removed. Of course I did not know which booking to contact. So I went back to the Cambria site and started looking for the booking agents name. After searching for an identification I finally saw a very small TRIPADVISORY Logo placed right next to the hotel ratings and the comments about individual stays. After three days or so, I finally reached an agent who told me that he could request a refund for the stay over, but not the $14.99 booking charge. That is when I got mad and explained to your agent that that was not acceptable to me and told the agent that I wanted to speak with his floor supervisor or his manager. He then put me on hold for brief moment and when he returned he said the $14.99 booking fee along with the hotel stay over fee would be returned. I told him thank you for his assistance in resolving the problem. I also told your agent that the way the Cambria hotel website was misleading and deceptive and that in the future I would never use TRIPADVISORY or any other site that uses your practices.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH RESERVATIONS.COM
July 26, 2022

We stayed at the Wyndham in Avon, OH for May 13-14 to attend my husband's aunts funeral. When we got to our room about 8:00 pm our toilet was not flushing. We notified the front desk who said they would send maintenance to fix it. We went to the pool so our granddaughter could swim. We got back to the room about 10:30 pm, but the toilet was still not fixed. We went down to get snacks about 11:00pm and mentioned our toilet hadn't been fixed. We were informed the maintenance man went home for the night. We were then moved to another room. We noticed some ants around the couch but didn't really think much about it, until during the night my grandaughter and I were awakened because we were being bitten by ants! In the morning when we checked out we mentioned the issue with the toilet, having to move to another room and then being bitten by ants. The front desk clerk was going to give us a 50% discount until she realized we booked through a third party, Reservations.com. She said we would have to contact them for the refund. We paid when the reservation was made. On May 15, I contacted Reservations.com and explained the situation. I did this by email so I would have proof of contacting them. I contacted them several times over four weeks. Finally, they told me there was nothing they could or would do for us. Several days went by and I contacted our credit card company and sent them a cover letter and a copy of all of the emails, per their request. After a few days the bank reimbursed us the 50% and all the interest that we had paid since booking. My advice is: DO NOT USE RESERVATIONS.COM TO BOOK ANYTHING AS THEY WILL SCREW YOU!

DO NOT USE Reservation.com EVER, EVER, EVER!
January 8, 2023

I was looking to book a reservation at a Holiday Inn Express and ended up at a Resevations.com site without realizing it. When I called the hotel right after that to get directions and found out that my reservation was not with them and that I could have saved another $14, I immediately called Resv.com back to cancel. I was told that I could cancel but that there were no refunds, none. Then I spoke to the supervisor who was talking so fast and in accented English, that I could not tell what she was saying. Finally, after my 4th request, she slowed down enough for me to hear that she was telling me to get an email from HIE, that they okayed the cancelation and a refund with their "letterhead" and the name of the person approving the refund. So I asked if, before I went through all this, there was any chance of my getting a refund. "Oh no, you will absolutely not get a refund." It was 5 minutes after I made the reservation and there was no possibility of refund. DO NOT EVER MAKE A RESERVATION with Reservation.com - They are DECEITFUL - BAD VALUE, BAD SERVICE, BAD INTENTIONS.

Internet SCAM
June 1, 2017

The business address of reservations.com is 1390 N Orange Ave, Orlando, Fl. *******.
Reversations.com is running an internet SCAM. The owners of this company should be prosecuted and thrown into prison! The SCAM runs like this: If you want to reverve a room in any particular city, you look it up on the internet. A web page appears with the name of the hotel you'd like to make reservations with, so you make the reservation. In my case, the advertised cost on that fake web site indicated $99 a night. After paying for the reservation, you receive an email confirmation from reservations.com? The confirmation charge in my case was $133.56? Two questions come to mine... where did reservations.com get involved in this, and why is the charge $133.56 for an advertised $99 room? You realize that you've been scammed. You call reservations.com to cancel. The Pakistani sounding woman will ask, "Have you read our cancellation policy?" You have no knowlege about any cancellation policy because you had no clue that you were booking through reservations.com. She tells you that there is a fee to cancel. If you cancel, you will still pay $14.99. To put salt on the wound, after locating the actual Hotel web page, you discover that the rooms can be rented for only $80 a night! This is a Bait & Switch operation by reservations.com posting web pages that appear to be the Hotel web page you were wanting to connect with.
I filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals Office in Florida over this SCAM. Unless other people who have been ripped off by reservations.com follow up with their own complaint, reservations.com will continue to run their SCAM. The owner/operators of this internet SCAM need to be prosecuted and thrown into prison. If you've been burned by reservations.com. Don't just sit there and complain, get off your butts and file a complaint with the AG's office in Florida. You can do that on the internet. Let's put these SCAMMERS into prison!
I'm also sending a complaint to the US AG's office because of this nation wide SCAM. You should too! Send your complaint to:
US Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Ave. NW

I was booking a room on the actual site (at least that is what I typed in the url) and saw the 4.5 review from travel advisor, and 4 stars from customer reviews, so I booked my stay. I had requested 3/8/19-3/11/19 as I will be attending my daughter's wedding, of which I think, I DO know the dates I would need a room! Once the order was completed-I did not get a chance to review the days before it completed the order, it popped up with the dates of 3/10-3/11! WTF?! I tried to call the company and got a "representative" that had such a thick accent that I had to repeat the itinerary/confirmation number at least 4 times before it was recognized. When I explained that the wrong dates were saved, I was told that it was non-refundable and I could not change or modify the reservation!
Okay, so I put in the dates I wanted, they were rearranged and cancelled and I can't change them-that's fair and legit... right? In the end, this person disconnected the call, so I called back and a pretty similar experience happened again, and forget about talking with a manager or person in charge.
Thank goodness **MARRIOTT** was able to work around this dishonest and uncaring company who's only goal is to screw the customer, it seems. I see that maybe four people are giving more than 1 star-I am guessing they must work for the company and probably get a kick-back for each customer they swindle. Oh, and the best part is, both of the "representatives" said that their company did not book the room so that is why they cannot change the reservation! Of course I never found out WHO actually booked my room, even though the reservation email states "reservations.com"! Hope people read this before they get jacked by this fraudulent, scamming online booking service... but unfortunately, you will probably end up just like me and realize you have been scammed when it is too late to do anything...
