I bid on an auction that was supposed to have ended today 11/4. However, once it counted down to 0, the clock reset on all 4 Extra Space auctions by 24 hours. I emailed them to complain, and Sarafina (Storage treasures employee) actually had the nerve to deny that they had this ability. What a joke! Apparently it has happened to several other bidders on this site just from my reading the previous reviews here. This was message she sent:
Thank you for contacting Storage Treasures, we understand your concerns.
There wouldn't be a way for the time to reset 24hrs, we do have a feature for auction when if someone tries to bid last minutes the auction will add 3-5 minutes but that is the only feature we have.
Unfortunately, all bids placed on the website are legally binding contracts. Therefore, we are unable to retract the bid that you are requesting. Hopefully someone will outbid you by the end of the auction.
However, if you do win the auction, please note that you will still be responsible for paying for and picking up the unit.
We do not want to suspend your account, so please ensure that if you do win this auction, you follow the proper procedures to pay for and clean out the unit by the end of the clean out period.
I apologize that we cannot assist more with this auction. If you do have any additional questions, please contact our Customer Support Department at *******503 or reply via email.

I work a professional job a do this on the side. Know what your getting into people. Your going to buy units u wish u never bought, this is a numbers game and takes WORK. I have bought 30 + units and have amassed equipment for another business I'm opening and other items for resale and have generally come out ahead. I see alot of overbidding since the Coronavirus outbreak. You must be disciplined in your bidding and willing to work like any other business and be willing to walk away from units with inflated bids.It is very time consuming to sort through these units and you must do your research on the front end to make educated decisions. Go to storage units that are trustworthy. Storage Treasures is only a broker to who u are really dealing with. I primarily deal with one storage unit company and have a great relationship with them and no issues. Out of the 30 plus units I have bought 2 have been blow your mind fantastic, 25 have been good or average and 5 I wish I had not bought. My research, past knowledge of antiques and work ethic are the only things that have made this work. Nothing like the TV show!
I bid on unit for 200 ended with my bid they claim I didn't win it. I wasn't out bid. My first time bidding. Very disappointed
They dont care about anything someone bid on my account months ago I knew nothing about it and they suspended me for something I didnt do and they could care less DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY COULD CARE LESS!
Due to the fact that a majority of the units that we bid on are lien units and a balance is owed to the sorage facility. The storage facilities are able to bid you up so they can get their money owed. This is not fair. You end up paying doube for an online trash unit, then you would a decent live unit! It is so obvious when the storage facilities stage the lockers!
Also, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR PICTURES OF THE ONLINE UNIT & COMPARE THEM TO THE UNIT WHEN PICKING IT UP! You may find that several items may be missing. I have experienced this myself!
All in all, this website is trash, and so are the crooked facilities on there!
I purchased my first unit through Storage Treasures on 7/7/2020. After reading all these eronious, my opinion, reviews I was skeptic. After winning the auction located over 2 hours away I drove the gas saving 4 cylinder to secure the unit before renting a trailer and taking the gas guzzling V8. We got there and the transaction was as smooth as silk. Our unit had a safe in it, let me tell everyone, you cannot bid as if the safe is full. I have picked safes up and shaken them, heard rattling (coins I thought) and paper. Got it busted open, keys and a bunch of cards accumulated over the years from birthdays, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and even Halloween. Makes you think how greedy of the family to remove the valuables but leave what was so sentimental to there loved one. The safe from our storage unit wasn't that great either but it was the second safe I have busted open that had some value inside. Contents included one silver ring, one gold ring, and a watch. I actually got more in gold and silver value out of the three unseen jewelry boxes. Also hidden in the unit was a 1950's Lionel Train set. I am pleased with my transaction and look forward to future endeavors. Almost forgot to mention that the people at CubeSmart were awesome. I was given a dresser and headboard ( Made in Italy), the headboard is the heaviest headboard I have ever touched, they had been storing for a while.
BUYER BEWARE BOUGHT A UNIT FROM A FRAUDULENT SELLER... We purchased a unit for about 4K. The seller was listed as a "bonding company". Upon taking possession of the unit we could see that is was STAGED. All the boxes were stuffed with random worthless items. The unit was made to look more valuable. The items in and behind the boxes were mix match and poor quality. We notified all parties involved immediatly. Come to find out the company was fake and they had a complaint filed with ST a month prior from another buyer. Apparently ST does NOT have a strong vetting process. DESPITE having a complaint against the same seller, they allowed them to continue without a thurough investigation. Seems as though they are attempting to escape all responsibility. We will never see the $3200 from the scammers and ST has refused to refund the $ we were defrauded. Since all paymemts have to be paid in CASH prior to having access, tougher vetting is a MUST!
I want to auction yesterday and went today to pick it up and was told that the auction was canceled and I know they can do last minute I've been called the facility to make sure that I still have possession of the unit and was on route to pay for it. When I went there I was told it was canceled despite my efforts calling 10 minutes before I left my house. Spent 45 minutes driving there in 45 minutes driving back now anyways time I guess and with frustration. I've been doing auctions for the last 15 years before the show and before this dumb $#*! website. This probably happened to me at least 7 to 8 times. The Facility did email me and a call to give notification that it was canceled but not all the time
Id say to happed. Eight times and span of 1yrs apart. But the last two times no call. This time I've had it and now I have proof. Buyer beware. Storage auction hunting used to be fun but now it's been monopolized and controlled by the site who has no recourse or nor care about auction buyers For the lack of responsibility. Adri dumb $#*! by anything or have time to waste but this time I had enough
I caught your number... This company is sooooo unprofessional and in what I saw and heard... complete GASLIGHTERS!
SHAME ON YOU!
I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW HOW UNPROFESSIONAL YOUR COMPANY IS. As well, I personally will NEVER use you.
SHAME ON YOU!
It's not surprising that you all have a 2.7 Rating.
Be careful when u buy they will change your pick dates from 72h to 42h. With iut any notice. You will win units at 10 am but at 5pm you'll get the storage managers Email telling you the tenant paid so you no longer won the unit. THIS PEOPLE ARE A JOKE AND PLAY TO MANY GAMES.
I WONE THE UNIT AT 10 AM BUT THE TENANT WAS ALLOWED TO RECUPERATE THE UNIT AFTER THE AUCTION HAS ALREADY ENDED.
Answer: Plase be careful this unit are from people who already purchased units took what's good then resale what's not worth to them.

Hi Brienna, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Most storage facility operators have policies that do not allow their staff to bid on their own units. We have heard of some staff no longer working at their company due to this, so most facility staff stay away from this practice.
Great advice regarding checking units. We always recommend this to our bidders.
