We checked in to 16 Robert's Way Oak Bluffs Mass on Sunday August 7th. Pulled up to what appeared to be an abandoned property. Weeds meet you at the front door. Very embarrassing to leave a beautiful home in Pennsylvania to come here. I have been calling since Sunday. No lawn service yet. Don't Stay Here. Paid almost 5,000.00 a rip of!

The property was not cleaned before arrival as promised: sheet rock work left dust across everything. The carpet is worn and stained. Kitchen faucet needs replacement and bathroom sinks drain slow. Apparently VACASA recently took the property over and "the owner wants to get a few rentals under their belt before they update it". Unfortunately we booked before updating had started or was completed.
The location itself is idea, quiet, and the grounds are emaculate.

Please do not book with Vacasa. They are thieves! Reputable companies are giving full refunds when requested for cancellations due to COVID-19. Vacasa is holding to their no refund for booking fees and I have lost over $900. A credit That must be booked in 6 months does me no good in these uncertain times. Extremely unhappy and will never use again. They were referred to me by a friend who booked a Vacasa house through Booking.com and she got 100% of her money back.

We just completed a stay at a Vacasa property, it was terrible. You can't reach anyone via phone, the condo was in deplorable condition and the management team promised compensation and did nothing. Do not give this company your business, they are horrible.

I booked a place on vacasa, received confirmation. Filled out all forms, sent copy of driver's license, send selfie picture for verification. At time of checking received message that my reservation is cancelled. I was on phone waiting for 1 hour but of no help. I will never go to this website again.

Beware. They are a scam

They claim they know your local market. After we signed a contract they listed our property in Augusta for only 10% of what the local market homes rent for during Masters. When I called to complain and to tell them they don't understand local markets like they claim. I was told they dont know about local events. What!? That's what they claim. Immediately after I got off the phone another company called and said they will pay us a monthly amount for our home if we let them have carte blanche with renting our home. Seems too coincidental to me. I think Vacasa intentionally listed us under value during this week so they could convince us to go to the other company to take the "house off ou hands"

Spent time on Honeysuckle for vacation w family and a 2 year old. This was the worst rental we have ever stayed at. There were no extra blankets, mattresses were hard as stone, hardly any towels and pillows were very few. In fact we had to go out and buy more towels, dishwasher liquid, pillows, etc. All closets were locked with no way to hang up our clothes, no bureaus, living out of a suitcase for a week. Very unwelcoming.How awful. Never again would I ever recommend Vacassa. Avoid at all costs!

Worst Rental Company
August 28, 2023

Rented a home in OBX, beautiful home in pictures. Many regular items did not work, TVs, Internet Bathrooms. Customer service is quick to text or answer calls but then never get back to you, never solving the problems. When i would check in on the status they would start all over as if its the first time i ever called. Both voice and text were useless. Staff did not care about my rental like they said they are dealing with many homes.

Horrible experience Vacasa a joke
March 27, 2024

We rented a house at 130 Settlers Pass McHenery Maryland. The first evening there we tried to use shower and it had no pressure and mud started to come out. If you ran both showers there was no water in house. After a while it was mud coming out of all faucets, toilets and showers. We contacted Vacasa and told the the situation and that we were leaving the next morning because we have young children and needed to shower and brush teeth. I wanted refunded for the day we left early. All they would say is we will reach out to our team. It has been 6 days and have not been contacted. They just keep telling us the same thing about contacting there team. They are awful and I will never use them again or recommend them.

Terrible and Insensitive
December 29, 2023

I would rate them lower if I could. We are two retired seniors who booked a vacation. Both of us got a stomach virus at the last minute and couldn't travel. At the same time, why would someone want us in their unit with what we had? Called Vacasa first thing in the morning and was on hold for 48 minutes. Finally hung up and tried their chat. Took 20 minutes for a response. Just wanted to let them know we were not checking in and would hope they would let us take a credit for a future stay. They said no. You would think they have the sense to provide good customer service and find a way to work through this. But they were not helpful at all. Even major hotel chains are helpful in these types of situations. We are done with Vacasa and I suggest others use their competitors.
