Based on my recent purchases, July 2014. I am very disappointed how they have handled my complaints. Not only they have given me false information they also crippled me financially by taking the charges out of my account even though, they have cancelled my order within minutes of placement. Not to mention you cannot return the items you purchase, and if you have to return them due to u ordered the wrong size which happens sometimes, they can't do an even exchange. You will have to place a new order for the correct size and only if it's available on their website and pay that order in advance. Once they received your items back, they will credit your account with a store credit minus all the discount they gave you at the time you have ordered it. I have been very disappointed with the customer service I have received and will no longer buy from this company. I have done a lot of business with Zulily since the beginning. I have had a hard time knowing I can't return several items that did not fit well, but understand. That policy and now I am very very careful about what I choose. The reason I will not order from them again is my last experience. I got sucked into the "free" shipping for the day scheme. I realized after placing my additional order that it may be shipped from another company and I realized at that point I would be paying for two shipping charges, but thought I would maybe ask them about it, as customer service in the past was always good. I was charged for one purchase that came from their store and the other 2 items which were from the same company were charged separately for 2 additional charges, total of about 26 dollars. Yikes, who pays that for shipping these days! I emailed 3 times and I can only hope they have interns this summer and that they have not changed their past nice customer service policy, but my experience was horrendous. They just said that is the way it is and have a great day and one even said you can only order one more time then get charged. That prompted me to call. I got nowhere. I emailed customer service to say I was disappointed and would most likely never order again from them and did not even get a reply. Items that can not be returned, things that don't fit properly, slow, slow shipping and high, high shipping cost and now bad customer service! Who would go through this again?

I have ordered a LOT of merchandise from Zulily and was determined to give them a good chance because I really like the things I received. However, I am done. I have placed well over 100 orders with them and the vast majority - like 80% - had something wrong. It was either an item incorrect, missing, broken or they miscounted or something and didn't have enough merchandise after I had placed the order. At first they tried to make up for it with the $10 standard store credit. But when orders were just late, I had to check on it after a week and got the bucket response of 3-5 days more days. Recently, the response is that they just don't know when and that was after the 3-5 days had passed from the first bucket response. And they now either gave no credit for the inconvenience or $5 which doesn't even cover the shipping since they didn't meat their delivery date. Very frustrated because basically you can only order if you don't really want to count in the item and you don't need any timeframe on when you'll receive it. Who has money to waste in things they don't really care when or if they get it? Not me.

I really don't understand the one star reviews unless the people who are using the site have really not understood the way that it works.
I have been using the site since 2013 and have had a few hiccups, such as poor quality merchandise (not really the fault of Zulily), mislabelled merchandise (tried to return as inappropriate, told to keep it, item was fully refunded and a $10 courtesy payment for my inconvenience), and cancelled items (running total of three items, each refunded and an inconvenience courtesy payment made).
The easiest way of getting the minimum shipping is to wait until Friday to order your items (which does mean you can miss some deals), purchase a single 'light' item, so you pay the minimum shipping charge (I believe this is currently $5.95), and then your shipping is free all weekend! They also have some deals where they have a week of getting free shipping with a Visa credit card as well.
Like with all things, if you shop cleverly, buy brands that you absolutely know your sizing, are happy to purchase branded items which maybe seconds or from several seasons ago, and are happy to wait for your items (though there are also plenty of items that can 'ship sooner' as well), then Zulily is the place for you to go. Otherwise, spend more money and buy from other online stores.

I placed an order for two shirts on January 13th. AFTER placing the order, it said that the expected ship date was February 10th. I wasn't pleased, but thought I would wait it out. On February 10th, I received an email saying it was delayed for a few more days (but was in transit to Zulily). After waiting almost a month, what was a couple more days? Called today (Feb 20th) and was told that they didn't know why they hadn't shipped out. The computer said they were in stock. I requested that they go ahead and ship them out and was told that the customer service people could not do this and I could just continue to wait if that was okay. WHAT! I might not live long enough to get these items. I had them cancel my order. I will NEVER order from Zulily again.
I wish I had seen all of the negative reviews before I placed my order. Hey Zulily! Worst business model EVER.

I placed an order on July 27,2011 for 3 different MELISSA & DOUG products.
I received notice on August 6 that all 3 items shipped - in two different boxes.
Today, August 11, I received 2 boxes with 3 items inside - all perfect condition, carefully wrapped, packaging was excellent. NO COMPLAINTS! :)

I ordered a "hot from Hollywood 3/4 sleeve button up top in a size Large.
It arrived 3 weeks later... the blouse was more like a XS!
The material is like cardboard!
I paid $25.00... called them for a return and get only 19.95 back!
AND ITS A CREDIT FOR ZUILY! I will NEVER RECOMMEND OR BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.

Although the product was advertised as duty-free on the Zulily website, I was still charged for duty.
I advised Customer Service who were supposed to refund my credit card for duty - never happened.
Ordered on November 26th, was shipped on December 22nd... RIDICULOUS!

I wish I would have read the reviews prior to purchasing my items. Nowhere on their website does it say it could take weeks before your order is processed. I ordered 4 items on Jan 3 and one item says i wouldnt get it until Jan 17, one item Jan 27 and the other 2 items there is no information at all. When I considered cancelling the order I only saw something about being able to cancel within the first 30 minutes (which I should have) and maybe I overlooked the part where it says WE DONT GIVE REFUNDS all I kept seeing was "store credit" why would I want store credit just to repeat this headache again? I thought that perhaps because they had national commercials they had their $Hit together but boy was I wrong. If you want to avoid a headache AVOID ZULILY

Do not order from this website, especially if you intend to buy a lot of items.
Let me begin with the small bit of positive I have to say: All but one item out of 19 fit me. That's it. That's all I've got. I received 6 shirts that that, while lovely, I will only wear when I have the time to hand wash them despite their being advertised as machine wash. I received one shirt that has no tag so add that in to the hand wash only too. I received a pair of jeans advertised as skinny but that are actually boot cut, a pair of flats so poorly made that you can see my toes when I walk, a necklace advertised to be rose gold but is actually yellow gold, a dress that is advertised beautifully but actually has a slit up to my crotch and slits on the sides of my breasts so it will have to be altered to be decent to wear, and worst of all a coat that was just completely the WRONG coat, as in not the coat I ordered at all it doesn't even resemble it.
The very worst part is that I still have a couple of items on the way. My entire order was due to arrive on 9/1/14 about two weeks after I sent in the order, but most items have arrived well after that date and it is 9/10 and I am still missing some.
When all of this was brought to the attention of customer service they said they could not send me the coat I ordered because they don't have it, and gave me a measly $10 credit for their website, as if I would order anything else from them.
Tip for consumers:
Go to Kohls instead.

I ordered a pair of cowgirl boots for my grandaughter on November 25th and of course was promised Christmas delivery. I checked the site when I didn't get them around December 20th and saw they had created a label on November 11, but had never shipped. I called Zullilly and the CS rep was very nice and said she would contact the seller. I guess she did because they finally shipped them and I got them today, December 30th. This is ridiculous. If you order on November 25th and it is promised for 30 days later... Come on. Even though CS was a big help I will NEVER order again from this site. Poor service by the seller.

I bought from Zulily off and on over the last two years, probably spending a few thousand over the years. They used to have great stuff at a decent discount, as well as high quality stuff, in the beginning. But starting last year/xmas time, I noticed that my purchases were hit or miss... sometimes I would love the item that I buy and other times I would just junk it. I started ordering from Zulily again in October/November of 2013 for xmas, and the stuff I'm getting is PURE JUNK. I noticed that they also INFLATE the original price, making one think you're getting more of a deal (when in fact they are just pure lying). Example, this week they have costco memberships for $55 and $110. How is that different from buying from Costco directly? It isn't. However, they listed the "original price" as $160 and $220, respectively, making one think that they actually saved money. Also, I bought $400 in toys (Battat) just to find out that I could have gotten it for the same price OR LESS on Amazon. I have some credits on Zulily, and once I use it I will never order from them again. Rip off and a junk store now... too bad. I used to connote Zulily with high quality, which is what it used to be in the beginning. Sad that they are now all about money, selling junk and lying about the original prices.
