This was my first and last time I will ever be shopping on here. I came across what I thought was really cute coffee table Worth almost $600 and I decided to order it. Upon receiving the package I noticed that there was three scratches going horizontally across the table that were very obviously not a part of it's edgy look. I immediately contacted their customer service over the phone and she told me to go ahead and send some photos over in which I did. The person who manages the returns, Ashley, got back to me the next day dismissing everything that I had said and chalked it up to all the scratches being a part of it's "abstract look" and completely evaded responsibility for the defective product. After going back-and-forth a while she offered me a slap in the face of breadcrumbs of $198.84 of STORE CREDIT out of the $600 wasted.
I'm 100% positive that I got a previously returned and re-packaged item. For some of their items they don't offer a return policy and that's fine but I don't believe that should apply to people who receive DAMAGED or DEFECTIVE merchandise this is UNACCEPTABLE. This company needs to start taking responsibility.

I have received zulily emails for quite some time now but never made a purchase until May 29. I shop mostly online, so I am always careful to read the return policies before placing the order. I understand zulily's no refund policy considering they are not the vendor and only shop the best deals for you. I needed the item for June 24th. The website stated 12-16 days shipping time which would get the item here just in time. So I placed the order. Then I started reading reviews - backwards process, I know - and begain to panic after reading all the negative reviews. The sale of my item ended June 1st. I received my item June 13th. I should note that i live on the east coast and zulily is west coast. No hang ups with ups mail innovations or my post office and the item is just lovely. I can see however where some items might time, etc since zulily relies on the vendor to ship them the item before they ship to the buyer. I will order from zulily again - probably not for last minute items again

I tried 5 times with customer service to cancel and order that I did not place and they won't accept it! I am furious and am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau of Washington State!

STAY well a way from this company, l purchased four pairs of ladies panties as a package deal over three months ago at a total price of $10, cheap l thought we'll NO when l checked the email confirming my purchase l was really annoyed to see that my credit card was charged $35 in total, $20 being the price for the panties which were clearly advertised for $10 and a further $15 for postage. I immediately contacted the company straight back to bring this to their attention they chose to completely ignore my email and never contacted me back, then after waiting eight weeks for my purchase which never showed up l sent them an another email which again went unanswered and was totally ignored once again, after another three weeks l sent them another email informing them that l still had not received my purchase. This time they sent me back an email stating that their comany orders the product though an independent company and then when they receive it they will then forward on to me and will send me an email with the postage details. Two weeks following this email they sent me a request for feed back, when l informed them that l would not leave feed back as l never recived my purchase and would like a full refund of my order they again totally ignored my email. So to date I am $35 down for a purchase that l never recived and NO refund so stay well away from this company They should be put out of business.

I purchased something from Zulily in 2014. I was not aware of the fact that when you pay with Paypal, Zulily stores an "open" pre-authorization for them to use your Paypal account. There is also no way to ever remove your payment method from your Zulily account, and no way to ever delete your Zulily account.

Fast forward two years... a hacker got into my Zulily account two weeks ago and purchased $350 worth of merchandise including a gift card using my Paypal account! I filed an unauthorized use of my Paypal claim. Paypal DENIED my request, closing the case in Zulily's favor, because they said I had an open agreement for Zulily to use my Paypal!

Meanwhile, after many hours on the phone with Zulily and Paypal, and countless emails, Zulily finally agreed to refund my money. BUT, they couldn't stop the $85 worth of items that had already been shipped, although they refunded me for them. They cancelled the $100 gift card and refunded me. But on the $165 part of my order that they WERE able to cancel... they said they couldn't refund my Paypal due to a glitch whereby since they deleted my Zulily account for me due to the fraud, they said they had no way to go back in and refund the original Paypal method!

After many hours of nightmare dealings with their customer service, several supervisors, and a manager, and getting many different customer service reps telling me different stories, I have finally today gotten my refund. But it took a toll on my health to where I almost gave up the fight, as the stress and the time spent wasn't worth the money.

I would not recommend Zulily to anyone!

I love this website! You can find anything you want or need and there are a lot of name brands. You can find anything you're looking for and even things you didnt known you were looking for!

I odered a set of sheets on sale. I liked the colors. When I received them, I was SHOCKED at the colors. In the ad, the background was off white and one set of pillow cases was a pretty light soft green.
What I got was Yellow background and Dark Olive Pillow cases. The pic shows a light background, but it screams YELLOW, but you can see the dark OLIVE color.
FALSE ADVERTISING!

This is the worst place I ever ordered from in my life. I placed two different orders about a week apart. I was waiting and waiting and waiting and still nothing. I finally went up on their website to check my orders and both orders werent there. It was saying that I had no orders. I next went into my bank account just to make sure that they didn't take the money out of my account and guess what? The money was taken out for both orders right away. The amount totaled to more than $150. I contacted Customer Service and they wanted a shipping number and a confirmation number. I never got either one because their site is saying there is no record. Isn't there a way of looking up my bank account up to see what was charged? Now they won't help me out and I am without my money. This is not how to do business. I will write every bad review there is. I cannot believe that they won't credit my account. I sent them the information from my account to show them that I was charged for the orders that I never received and they don't even care.

Tip for consumers:
Please do yourself a favor, go else where to do your shopping. I know you can get some good deals from Zulily but trust me, you don't want the headache of dealing with their customer service people. This was two different orders that they screwed me on.

Does it seem reasonable that for $8.00 in shipping fees, for an order over $50.00, that I wait over a MONTH to receive the product? I shouldn't even stop the timer at this point. I ordered this August 29th and it is still bouncing around in nowhere land. It SAYS it shipped October 2nd so I suppose that's something.

Look, I get that longer wait times are standard for Zulily, but honestly this is ridiculous. They give us set quantities of which people can order, so one would assume they have at least SOMETHING in stock or can satisfy the orders in a timely manner. But honestly, for what I've paid, these are 100% not worth the wait. I have truly given this company a chance. I have been shopping here for almost 2 years and so I can tell anyone who is thinking of buying something: This company has been in a SHARP decline. You are truly risking your money for a product that will not be delivered for at LEAST 3 weeks, likely looks nothing like the picture, is made of cheap material, and is sized so poorly it probably won't fit.
Zulily has let themselves and their patrons down. Shop elsewhere.

Don't ever buy anything from Zulily until you check Temu first. Same exact items for a 3rd of the cost.

Tip for consumers:
Zulily used to be OK. They changed they're policy. If you buy something, plan on keeping it regardless. Returns are a pan. If you know your size and are experienced with the brand, go for it.

Wish I could rate this site ZERO stars. What a fraud! "Buyers beware" Where do I start: first it took exactly one month for my order to arrive. I ordered one month early for my daughter, in the hopes that I will receive it in time for Easter - nope, that did not happe!. Second, the "brand name" clothing that they claim was definetely not brand name at all... CHEAP CHEAP quality clothing. And to make matters worse, the site is not safe at all. I received two additional/even amount/ huge fraudulent charges on my American Express bill, that coinceded with my purchase on their website. Luckily, American Express is very good at dealing with fraudulent activities, and I was not responsible to pay for those charges... how scary is that! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ONLINE STORE AT ALL. This fraudelent website should be close for good

At first I loved this site. I was ordering like crazy and referring tons of people. I earned $80 in credits from referrals. Two of the people I referred had major problems and now I feel responsible. One of the people I referred had her order cancelled after waiting over a month for the merchandise. Zulilly gave her a $10 credit, but she is pissed. The other person had to wait a month and a half for her merchandise to arrive and when it came a pair of jeans ordered for her daughter were in bad shape. The stitching on the seams was coming undone and the embroidery on the back pockets was unfinished. Zulilly credited her account $7.95, which was the shipping costs. They should have credited her card instead of store credit. Ridiculous! Then my nightmare began! A pair of boots I ordered fell apart the second time I wore them and now I'm waiting on an order for my daughter's birthday that late shipping out. Today is her birthday, so it looks like it will not arrive in time :( Zulilly return policy is nonexistent, the shipping costs are ridiculous, and the quality is horrible! Better off going to TJ Maxx, Loehmann's or searching ebay!

I bought a framed map kit. The product information showed a large map with a sophisticated thick, white border and a dark wood frame.

I got two sticks, 8 thumb tacks, a piece of twine (which was actually part of the packaging-- glad I didn't cut it!), and a nearly borderless map that was scarcely larger than a placemat.

While the description did state that I would have to assemble the frame, it did not state that the thumb tacks WERE the frame, or that I would have to stain it, myself, to look like the advertised item.

In their customer service reply, they disregard that it has neither the border nor the dimensions of the product description, stating that lighting in the photo is the issue. Light doesn't shrink paper by over 3 inches. The thumb tacks were presumably for marking the places you have been (The purpose of the kit), according to the description.

I was offered store credit, AFTER I paid to return the item. So, I paid to ship the item (painfully slow--over 4 weeks after I was charged), would have paid to ship it back, then paid to ship a replacement item when I used the store credit. In other words, it cost about the same as simply keeping the thing.

Long story short, they truly are a no-returns site-- even if they falsely advertised the item.

I am very familiar with Zulily and find it unfortunate that so many shoppers had a less than wonderful experience with the website, but after reading several reviews I was compelled to write my own. Zulily is a wonderful site that sells great merchandise at a sharply discounted rate. I believe that there are purchasers who bought garments or other merchandise that was damaged. This, however, is not the fault of Zulily. They are not the manufacturer. They buy product from vendors and have faith that their vendors will provide them with a good product. I also read that the delivery time is incredibly long and Zulily oversells items that aren't in stock. The reason the delivery time is long is because Zulily must first wait for their vendors to ship them the merchandise then they ship from their facility. Zulily has a tight schedule and they expect every vendor to adhere to it, but that doesn't always happen. They also DO NOT oversell items. They sell the exact amount of items a vendor tells them is available. Again, Zulily is trusting the vendors they are working with. No business is perfect but Zulily is a great e-commerce site that gets quality products to consumers at an unbeatable price.

I've now placed two orders through zulily. First order was for a few kitchen items, all four of the items were very poor quality and certainly not worth what I paid for them. The price and description made it seem like this kitchen tools would be of high quality (i. E., crate and barrel) but in reality they were no better than dollar store quality. I was bitter, but afte some time I forgave and placed another order.

My second order was two dresses and a pair of shoes. The shoes were described as leather, both in the items title and also in the description, I ordered and paid for LEATHER shoes. Imagine the look on my face when I opened up some cheap plastic made in China with a clear mark sayin "all man made materials" wtf, that ones just an all out lie by zulily. The disses were of VERY poor quality, see through, smelled of plastic, one had a seam not sewn, the other had a gaping hole in it. I can't even think of a store that would sell such crappy merchandise, I've seen better clothing at Walmart. Not worth the money, not worth the FIVE weeks I waited for it to arrive.

Save your money, buy somewhere else.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Zulily! But, I hate when they have something fabulous and I don't have money lol
Yes, shipping takes forever - if you'd bother to read anything, you'd know how the site works... They have a sale, they collect orders, after the sale they place a huge order with a company (mostly overseas) and the company ships to Zulily and then Zulily ships the items to you. So, expect to wait a little (average wait is 3 weeks).
I've ordered quite a bit and never had any problems and have been completely satisfied with what I've gotten.
One time so far a dress I ordered for my daughter wasn't in the package, but they promptly refunded me (too bad because I REALLY wanted the dress) but such is life... There are starving people in this world... and communist dictatorships killing people for nothing- Not receiving my daughter's dress was hardly cause for an internet riot lol Although the dress was amazing and I'm still kinda sad lol
I'll continue to shop there... in fact, every morning I watch the clock, painfully, until it hits 9 am... or the second I get an alert on my phone from the Zulily, I drop everything to go check it out.

I enjoy looking at the 'events' in the morning email you send me. Nowhere else do I find such a huge array of clothes, etc in so many different styles and sizes. The prices are wonderful. I have spent thousands with you over the years.
But more frequently than making a purchase I decide not to take a chance on a garment because it's about 50/50 whether I'm going to like it and have it fit.
This could be helped tremendously by having more thorough descriptions of the item and having more accurate photos regarding color and detail. For instance, sometimes the photo does not show the waist band of a skirt or pants. Is it an elastic waist? A button with a zipper? Is it high-waisted or low? Is the fabric thin or shiny or textured? Sometimes the description mentions some of this but often it does not.
Sizing is another issue. What one company calls '1x' has nothing to do with another company's 1x. And even following the size chart doesn't yeild dependable information. If a top is suppossed to fit 43" to 45" in the hips does that mean it's going to just barely go around my hips or be a loose flowing fit?
So unless I've come to trust a company, more and more I'm not willing to risk a purchase only to receive something that I have to go through the hassle of returning and lose half the $ I spent on it for postage.
Also, when you ask me to review an item and you want me to take my time to help you out, don't tell me how many words I must use in my comments. Instead make it as easy as possible for me.

I have always had pretty good experiences with this website. I mean shipping is always terrible but for the price I am able to purchase some things it's worth the wait. So this holiday season they had Lego clothes on sale which I purchased for my nephew because he LOVES Legos. The only reason I ordered them is because it was guaranteed Christmas delivery if it wasn't I would have never purchased items cause I know their shipping is so slow. On December 23rd I checked the tracking and it said my stuff was in Illinois and to be delivered on December 28th. I wrote them 3 emails about this to which I got one response to please see their shipping policies. I don't care what their shipping policies are don't guarantee something if their is a possibility it can't be done! Needless to say it's Christmas Day and I have no gift for my nephew. I'm not only disappointed in the shipping but also in the lack if customer service. It was literally just swept under the rug. I have spent a lot of money on that site and can honestly say I will never buy anything from them again. I would rather pay more somewhere else than give my money to a company that could obviously give a $#*! about customer service and customer satisfaction.
