Update on the Zulily mess in the post below. First, they contacted me on Friday, first by phone, then by email, promising me this was being given highest priority, and would be resolved shortly. Then Saturday, I get an email telling me they can no longer find the transactions, and to contact my financial institution, to start a dispute! My financial institute says MasterCard will credit my account the $818.94 overcharge, but if Zulily contests it, they will then have to remove the credit from my account! This is a promise to Zulily... if there is even the slightest issue with that refund, even a delay of one day, I will make it my life's work, to make sure everyone on this earth that is connected in any way by social media, text messaging, or email, knows exactly what snakes you are... after we sue. There is another international company out there that could tell you exactly what happens when you go up against my righteous anger, and you stand to lose way more than I ever will. Honesty has a way of winning in the end, and after the huge hassle you have caused, and the amount of time I have had to spend on this issue, you will lose far more than $818.94. You have already lost customers over this, as my private messages (and a few not-so-private ones) can attest to, and I have barely begun. The fact that you think I am dumb enough to believe the "we are unable to pull up those transactions any longer" line, reeks of an arrogance that is begging to brought down... and there is nothing I would enjoy more than showing you just how efficient social media, text messaging, and email, is at doing that, especially when a person has truth on their side. To those of you that have honestly been screwed over by companies, and feel like you "can't fight city hall"... yes, you can, and you should, and you won't regret it.

I have ordered several things from them for a friend that owns a store in another country, spent over 30k with zulily. I placed an order last night for 50 white dresses. Almost $1500 (paid for 2-day shipping)and the 3 pairs of shoes for my 1year old. I got several emails saying that the orders shipped and I thought everything shipping only to see a mail saying "per your request, we cancelled your order." I'm like, per my request? Are you kidding? I called, the lady was nice, had me on hold and came back after 6min to tell me it has to do with my bank. I said that is not true, if it had to do with the bank, the entire transaction could have been canceled not part of it. I called the bank and also checked online, the money was debited and the lady at the bank said none of the transactions were rejected. I called them back, spoke to 1 person got transferred to who was supposed to help me because no one new why part of my transaction is cancelled.
She too couldn't figure it out and she said she would reach out to their finance department and they will get back within 72 hours. She advised me to go back, create a new account, and place another. I said "I said lady you have lost your mind!" Now the items are no longer on sale and I who knows what would happen to my money. I would NEVER order anything from this site again. The fact that the lied that I requested to cancel the order just turned me off completely. If the items I ordered are no longer available, just say that. I am done with them and no one I know will order anything from them either.

The Suggested Retail Prices have little relationship to REALITY so the %age discounts represented are entirely BOGUS.
Items that are made of glass are represented as being either genuine stone like Amethyst or Sapphire or as Cubic Zirconia. Clearly because cubic is not available in some of the colours they represent - the deception is too obvious.

So this was my first experience ordering from Zulily. For the me shipping wasn't that long about a week. I did know that I wouldn't be able to return the dress if it didn't work. My biggest problem was the sizing. I am normally an 18-20 and I can wear a 1x-2x. Based on what the sizing measurements from this site were, I ordered a 3x (actually going up in size knowing I wouldn't be able to return it if I ordered to small.). My chest is pretty large but I have never not fit into something that was considered a 3x (that would normally be too big). My chest does NOT fit in this dress. For those who say "know your size", let me say that I absolutely know what size I am and even ordered a size up. The sizing is completely off. I even thought the dress must have been made in China but it says made in the USA. Another thing, the dress was black and white, made from very thin material causing the white parts of the dress to be see through. I'm assuming this site must have a lot of factory seconds and things of that nature. I'm glad I didn't order a lot or something very expensive. I will go to a store that I can try the clothing on or use a web site that I can send items back to if they don't fit. This was my first and last time using Zulily.

On 9/22/23, today, Zulily has a promotion of items from wares to home under $5. I feel it would be normal for a customer to expect that all items under that promotion would be $5 or under. When I went in under that promotion, some items were a lot more than $5 or under. In my mind, those items either should not be listed under that promotion or mistake was made and should be given to the customer under promotion it is listed under. I was interested in specific sneakers, they were under $5 and under promotional listing however, were priced at $99. I called Zulily 3 different times. First time the representative hung up on me ( I believe accidentally). I called back and another person picked up. The had no way of contacting me to the person I already spoke to for 20 minutes trying to figure this out, so I had to start the process all over again. After about 30 minutes and them speaking to different managers and departments, I was told that I send the screenshots of the sneakers showing under $5 and under promotion, they will adjust the price. I sent the screenshots to the email I was given and followed all instructions. I then followed up with yet another phone call and yet again got a completely different person and yet again had explain what was going on. This person requested that I sent screenshots to her email so it does not take as long and I did. She again spoke to different managers and departments just to come and offer me $50 credit towards the sneakers but clearly stated that they will not give me the sneakers under the promotion they were listed under. I could find similar sneakers, the same brand for $54, therefore, the offer that they were giving me was sneaky on their part as it would have just reduced the price of the sneakers to the same price the other similar sneakers are listed under. Keep in mind, while talking to all three people I suggested that the items should not be listed under $5 and under promotion if they are priced higher or were not meant to be reduced to the promotional price and should be removed. Yet I just went in and the sneakers are still listed under $5 and under promotion at $99. I feel this a clear representation of bad customer service. I have been a long term customer and spend a lot of money on my purchases through Zulily but that is about to change. Sincerely, Yelena Weaver
