As far as I understand AliExpress is an intermediary service to a lot of different suppliers in China. Most of their suppliers are serious, but there are also quite a few fraudsters who also take advantage of the AliExpress brokerage service, so it is extremely important to check the reviews of the seller before ordering an item. My experience is that the seller must have a rating of at least 4.8. If, after all, problems arise with an ordered item, you can expect great difficulty in getting the matter sorted out. The service on AliExpress is definitely not the best among companies that mediate online sales.
Scam! The took money from my paypal, and claim that UPS returned the package however I gave them the correct address. They used this excuse to buy more time. They give you the run-around by phone and email. And just like another reviewer said, they claim to only handle returns by email, however they never respond through email. Do not order, this is a scam company!
Ordered an iPhone 5 case... 16 days later it still has not shipped. Attempts to get ahold of anyone at the site is a waste of time. Screen after screen of "under construction"... which I now believe they never existed. I will never get my money back. The only way a company can run like this is for it to be outside the US. It would have been shutdown a long time ago if it were here.
Placed my first order with the seller BranKid. The website linked me to tracking which indicated my order was delivered and left in my mail box over a week ago, but I never received it. I question how the delivery guy manage to leave a pair of shoes inside a locked mailbox that's made for only letters. Contacting the seller resulted no response. I'll just contact my bank and dispute the transaction.
Everything so far smooth (I order more than 200 item) and aliexress works great. Support its great and when you have problems dispute works as should work. Sometimes an item may not received but its airlines problems (that happens also at ebay and many other sites), although seller or aliexpress gives you refund so no problems.
The good part is the feedback by buyers about items and transactions which is an advantage.
Do not use this company. They have already screwed me twice. I ordered 400 yellow leds and I received blue ones. Their fix was to offer me $1.00 or I can pay for return shipping and get a coupon for the shipping price. They are in China and they know they can do what ever they want and get away with it. Piss poor company.
My other order was marked shipped, I waited and waited watching the tracking of it. Told me it would be delivered on the 5th and on the 6th the company cancelled my order. The item never shipped. It was a 100% lie and I fought to get my money. They wanted me to wait 3 weeks for an OK we will return your money then another 2 weeks to receive it.
Please save yourself the trouble and DO NOT order from AliExpress. I messaged a lady prior to order flower girl baskets for my wedding confirming they would be ivory and NOT white. The delivery was longer than expected and when I got the baskets they were in fact WHITE! My wedding is just a few weeks away and now I have to deal with these incompetent people ON TOP of all the last minute wedding planning! Also, there was no receipt that came with my delivery. I hope this other issue does not interfere with getting my money back. Before ordering from AliExpress, I was aware of all the bad reviews and the fact that they have false advertising. I was hoping that "flower girl baskets" would be easy to handle and difficult to mess up. Boy was I wrong! Go out and spend a little bit more money to save yourself from such stress and disappointment!
I have used ali express a for about 45 orders over the past 4 years and now I am forced to quit it. There is far too much fraud. Ebay is significantly better in this regard.
Order after order, problem after problem, dispute after dispute. The disputes take months and during this time you lose your ability to leave feedback. It is just too riskey. With paypal you can actually contact and talk to a human. It is the lack of feedback on suppliers that allows them to get away the constant sending of faulty goods.
Decided to get Bluetooth headphones for recreational purposes. Delivery on headphones took about a month. Compared to other sites I have reviewed in the past this is a long time. Nonetheless, I received the headphones. The black headphones looked just as advertised. Instructions came with package. However, one Bluetooth headphone was audio functioning. Other headphone would pair to device but would not project any sound. Thus, I messaged vendor to inquire about problem. Vendor messages me back list of instructions, same instructions that came with package. Thus, I told vendor regardless of instructions both headphones fail to play. Vendor never responded back. Two stars were given instead of one star because of design of headphones. Buyer Beware!
Some sellers are decent and can read and answer in english, some others or play to being $#*!ed or they directly are, you ask them things and they answer back with a "?" or some nonsense answer like "yes" when you are asking how long would it take for the item to arrive to my place in New York. The customer service from aliexpress is useless and they will answer back generic answers besides researching about your inquiry and giving you a solution.
It's like buying a lottery ticket, it can go smooth or it can be a nightmare. I would recommend going to amazon

I returned a pair of shoes because the design and colour were not what I expected. I paid extra to send them back and its been 2 months I still havent received my money.
I also tried to order something else on Aliexpress, its been 4 days and I havent heard from the seller. When I click "cancel order" it allows the seller 5 days to response, WTF?!?! They have already deducted the amount from my bank account

I've only ordered once, but the shoes I ordered arrived in 3 weeks, in my mailbox at home. I was very satisfied with the experience. The prices are ok, but make sure to check the reviews before ordering.
Warning - I was ripped off by the I love life store on aliexpress. I received notification an item was delivered when it was not. They posted a picture of proof of delivery which is clearly not my house and not the item I ordered. I filed a claim with PayPal and was denied based on the fact that the seller provided the bogus tracking. Buyer beware.
I have been ordering from AliExpress for about 4 months now, and have only had one order not arrive. I received my full refund and have no issues with the resolution process. The products I've received have been or pretty good quality, with a few small flaws that don't really interfere with the purpose of the product (some stickers were a little too stuck to the sticker sheet) I look forward to ordering more things in the future, especially from the very wide variety in their cycling catagory.
SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE! Ordered sweatshirts, finally received them, they were all significantly smaller than the tag indicated. The material was very cheap, plastic-feeling, and scratchy. Returns were a nightmare that have gone on for two months and still are not resolved. I attached one photo for an example, both shirts are labeled as size L (AliExpress item is on the left). Wish I could give it 0 stars.
I used to have good luck with this site, but have been disappointed lately. Two shipments from regular sellers never even showed location scans, a month after they shipped them. One reshipped, but I only receive half the quantity I ordered! Second seller swears the tracking number is correct, but it's been 4 weeks and there are still no location scans? You can purchase about any item or product at very reduced prices compared to the prices at local stores. A lot of items are available at free shipping. However, if you are buying a product at free shipping, it may take up to 3 weeks before the product arrives in your country.
I've been ordering from Aliexpress since 2016. Items from clothes to jewelry to hair weave to shoes. The key is to not have high expectations and know what you're paying for. Most of the stuff on there is cheap $#*!. You get what you pay for! And if you don't like it, don't even bother returning it. Just dispute the charges with your bank. I don't have to do this often but the few times that I did, I always got my money back through my bank. Most of the vendors that I buy from have a good communication and others don't. It really can be a hit or miss. Their sizing is really off however the sizing in China is completely different than saving in the US so of course there may be some differences Which is why I always order a size up or two. But overall it is really an amazing site. It really cuts out of the middleman for a lot of items that I like to buy.

Answer: I purchased 3 pair of van's brand shoes via different companies on aliexppress and all were true to size. The off brands are not, so you need larger than you wear. But, ask and ali will usually provide a size comparison chart for you to use.
