Often times the site puts a transaction hold on your credit card for the amount of the subscription. This is a temporary pre-authorization hold from your credit issuing bank. This is a common practice for validating a credit card before running a transaction. You may have been only charged once.

You should have a free trial period before paying for a membership.

Hi Barbara, We are a paid subscription service and not a free service. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise and therefore felt mislead. That was never our intention. Many sites like ours charge a fee in order to be able to offer you the features our site offers. Otherwise we'd just be like any other free classified site with very little to offer.
