Coleman gets some bad reviews but in my experience none of what people complain about was true. I got my couch much earlier than what I was conditioned to expect, it came in perfect condition and the delivery men quickly got it into my house without hitting a single wall door,door way, floor etc They were fast, polite and well spoken.

Recently purchased the Cali pearl performance modular sectional a month and a half ago. The sectional looks nice but the comfort is definitely lacking. I bought it because I've seen a few reviews but sad to say they were off. The cushions get flat and thin and they're just not comfortable to lounge in. Now I know to test a product before purchasing.

If all or part of your order is not in stock they will still send a cute email with a truck driving to a warehouse saying your order has shipped to a local delivery company and will be inspected. Notice they always mention that it will be inspected. You are billed promptly. Next they will tell you that you will be contacted by a local delivery company within a few weeks. Next a company with phone number across the country (CA) calls to schedule a delivery. At this point I sold my furniture. On delivery day they will call to tell you your furniture failed inspection. In my case they tell me it needs a part. The service rep told me that my sofa ships in parts and apologized that I am not familiar with the furniture shipping business. I bought a high end sofa and was appalled to think it shipped in parts so I called the manufacturer who assures me neither of the pieces ordered ship in parts. Now Coleman tells me that it may have been damaged during shipment or have a defect and they need to order a part to repair. I told them I do not want a damaged or repaired furniture and to cancel my order. They tell me I must pay 15% restocking fee and shipping of 189 for a total of almost 700.00. They will not explain why the shipping company or manufacturer will not pay if damaged or defective. I firmly believe that my order has not shipped based on reading other reviews, especially hundreds of complaints at BBB.org. I too filed a complaint and will look into a lawsuit whether or not I ever receive the furniture. I had to buy a sofa from a local furniture store to have a place to sit while I am strung along by this dishonest company. The reps will not back down, they are trained like nothing I have ever experienced. I don't think I have ever done a 1 star review, but I am reviewing on every site I can find. This company has caused me a great deal of stress and anxiety and their business practices should not be allowed. They need to be exposed for these practices. I hope I can assist in exposing them. If one person reads this review and I save them from the terrible treatment and dishonesty I have experienced then that is good. BTW, they insist my furniture is here local, but won't explain the issue, show shipping receipt or order, or tell me what the issue is with my furniture. Only that they are working on ordering the part and that I am a top priority. They know that as long as they continue to respond it is difficult for me to take action against them.

I wish I could do zero stars. They don't deserve one. Also... I tried to put a review on their website, and they didn't print it. No wonder their products have such great reviews.

I liked the Rawcliffe sectional when I went to Ashley furniture. I called Coleman and asked if it was the same couch they were selling or if it's a knock off. They said it is delivered from Ashley and the same couch. So I ordered online since their shipping time was 12 weeks less than Ashley's. I ordered in April. Two days before it was scheduled for delivery they changed the shipping date to September (it was originally May 11). They said the couch was out of stock (didn't they know that when I ordered it in April?). Fast forward to august 11. The couch gets delivered. The first piece the movers bring in has a large piece of fabric patched over the black bottom cover. He pointed to it said it was damaged and they patched it. Ahhh what? This is supposed to be a new couch. Then I notice other issues. Holes in the fabric. No padding between the fabric and wood on the ottoman and arms of the couch where there was definitely foam on the model couch in the warehouse. Rips on the underneath part. Two different colors of fabric on the separate prices of the sectional. Staples coming out. The delivery man said it's the worse couch he has ever had to deliver, that he has never seen one made like that. I called the company, explained what I was seeing and they said if I refused delivery they would talk to an account specialist and return my money within 3-7 days. The movers said good decision and left. Fast forward to two weeks later. No refund. I email customer service to find out what's going on. I'm told I have to agree to a $1788 refund instead of the $2300 I paid for shipping and restock fees. Huh? I have to pay over $500 when they shipped me a lemon of a couch? I said I didn't agree and I filed a bbb report. They then send me an email that they'll be reshipping the couch to me. That it has been sitting in the delivery companies warehouse for three weeks and they will have a third party do more repairs on the couch. Seriously? Their remedy is to fix up a couch that isn't anything like the one on the showroom floor that I already rejected and has now been sitting gathering mildew and god knows what for three weeks and they can't even give me an estimate of when it would be delivered, or award them with over $500? Isn't bait and switch illegal? Showing one product then delivering another? And how can a couch that was patched before ever delivered to me be considered new? What a racket. Wish I had looked at their bbb rating before purchasing from them. They even have a scam alert listed for their company.

If you're considering buying from Coleman Furniture (or dealing with their parent organization Renegade Furniture)... do yourself a favor and LOOK ELSEWHERE! Like any experience, it isn't so much about when things go to plan. The true test is when something goes wrong. And I can tell you that I've now seen the true ugliness behind Coleman's glitzy marketing and website. They will leave you out to dry and treat you to some of the most unethical business practices I've ever seen!

We ordered an expensive bedroom set from them in early December 2018. Their estimated "6-8 week" delivery lead time meant that we were hoping to time this with the move into our brand new home. It's took close to 24 weeks (almost 6 months) before we were able to put this behind us! That's not to say we got all our furniture... or that they graciously agreed to refund us for items we didn't receive. If you want the detail... read on.

It all started with early emails from Coleman (after my order was placed and they took my money) that kept pushing out the estimated delivery date. After the third such email, I called to cancel our order and ask for a refund. At first they said it was ok to process a refund since the goods hadn't shipped yet. But I received a cold email from their customer service manager the very next day saying that (almost magically!) our furniture was on its way and that we would incur a penalty if we cancelled our order. This was 3 months ago! In fact, our first real delivery of the bedroom furniture didn't happen until several weeks later (something about the first "shipment update" going to the wrong delivery depot).

In that first delivery, the "white glove delivery" (that they tout on their website) couldn't put together our bed because it was missing key components. Worst still, our dresser arrived seriously damaged and had to be taken back. So much for their commitment to undertake "thorough inspections at the delivery company to ensure everything is in order PRIOR to delivering to the customer."

By this time, we'd already had several weeks of frustrating email exchanges and phone calls. Their "customer service/support" team seriously lags in 2 key areas (in my opinion): a) they do not understand what "customer service" means given their absolute lack of empathy. And b) they are not empowered to help overcome Coleman's fundamental operational loopholes.

None of their promises to "escalate" our issues or "prioritize" our delivery materialized to anything. Worst still they kept refusing to cancel my order for products not delivered.

Needless to say, I will have NOTHING to do with Coleman Furniture or any of their associated companies... EVER AGAIN! I hope this helps others avoid being treated by Coleman Furniture or Renegade Furniture like we have.

Tip for consumers:
Go elsewhere... we were fooled by the glitzy marketing and website until we were exposed to misleading (and borderline fraudulent) business practices of this company

I ordered a sectional sofa from Coleman and it included free "white glove" delivery. I also purchased an extended damage warranty. The first red flag was that on 2 separate occasions they untruthfully told me that the delivery company had my furniture and that they would be scheduling delivery within 2 days. After 2+ weeks of this, the delivery company did actually receive the furniture. On the day of delivery, there were 2 movers. Both of them began to complain the second they walked in the door about having to place the furniture in my basement. They indicated that they were not aware of that detail and it looked like there might be some corners that were going to be tight. So before they would proceed they stuck a cell phone in my face and said that they would not complete the delivery unless I signed a waiver to "release them from any liability for damage to my walls or door openings". So as a customer excited to get my new furniture, I signed. Well, they didn't damage any of my walls or doors, but they did manage to tear a giant hole in the cushion of the couch. After this happened, I declined the delivery and requested that it be returned for a replacement. After contacting Coleman to discuss what had happened, they abruptly and rudely proceeded to tell me that because I signed the above mentioned waiver, they will not be replacing the furniture. Nor will they be refunding my money. After recovering from my initial shock, they went on to tell me that they would actually issue a refund. BUT ONLY OF 1/2 OF WHAT I PAID FOR THE FURNITURE. They deducted a 15% restocking fee plus an additional $250 in shipping charges. After I objected, they refused to discuss it any further and basically have left me hanging without $500 of what I paid for furniture that I never even got. I even tried to see if the accidental damage coverage I purchased could be used to replace the furniture. They declined that also by relying on the "terms and conditions" line. Apparently, the accidental damage doesn't cover anything until it is actually sitting in the exact spot in your house it was intended. BS!
BUYER BEWARE. THEY THRIVE ON SMALL PRINT AND HOAKY WAIVERS. THEY WILL NOT HELP IF YOU ENCOUNTER THE SLIGHTEST OF ISSUE.

Do NOT order from this company. Please. If I can stop just one person from going through what I went through with this ridiculous company, it will be well worth it. I ordered my entertainment center in June of 2020 and it it now March of 2021 and I still do not have it. It was supposed to be delivered last week and has been rescheduled four times now.
When the delivery driver called the third time to reschedule, I asked for his managers information and he told me "I don't have a manager, I'm my own driver" okay.
Well they showed up the next day to deliver our furniture and told my husband they only had 15 minutes to put it together. My husband asked them to remove their shoes in our home because we have white carpets and they didn't have the shoe covers that the company promised us they would have. This was so inconvenient to them that they asked my husband to help them move boxes so "they wouldn't have to keep removing their shoes" ARE YOU KIDDING? THIS IS THEIR JOB!
Well, they began removing the pieces from the boxes and proceeded to tell us that it was going to take 3-4 hours and they didn't know how to do it because there was so many pieces and that they didn't have the time to do it. So they began repackaging it and proceeded to leave trash in my house and blowing all around my yard and my husband had to request that they pick up or they were just going to leave it.
They said they were going to return the furniture to the manufacturer and it would be delivered the following week. Well it's the following week and the company is still trying to figure out what happened with the delivery, the drivers and my furniture. I was also told I would have to pay a cancellation fee if I wanted to cancel at this point. This must be how they make all their money. I have no idea how much longer it's going to take to get my order and I am disgusted and appalled with this company. They have thus far blamed everything on the "delivery company" and it seems as the delivery company is blaming everything on the furniture company. No one wants to take responsibility for the negligence that occurred surrounding my order and everyone keeps placing blame on others.
If you took the time to read this review, please do not order from this company. Spend a little bit more with a REPUTABLE company!
