They have call me and wanted that I advertise. I have choose global bundle.
Their cost is 2320 euro or they offer to me 50% discount for the first year and it looks nice 1,160 euro.
But looking on their price structure, was not easy to find, I have found that normal price is 599 dolars euros or pounds, depends where you pay, and without any discount. Not 2320 euros. Real price is 599 euros. Just type global bundle 599 and you will see.
The people who work for homeaway vrbo or any other sister site of homeaway, from God knows where, are for me criminals, and pure scamers.
They have take market for themselves an s they invest millions in google and you can do nothing not to pay them just as to google. You will never be listed if you do not pay to google or to those sites like homeaway, vrbo, tripadvisor and so on.
I've been on Airbnb for over a year, and get paid instantly 24 hours after my guests have checked in. I signed up for Home Away, & have been waiting for 2 weeks! I've read that for new property listings, they can take 1 month! If I wanted to work for FREE, I'd give the rooms away to charity. I do not Want to Work For FREE! If you don't want to work for FREE, Avoid VRBO / Home Away! My listing is hidden until I get paid. I do not want to give anymore room nights away! All that cleaning and laundry is hard work!
We stayed at Estero Beach and Tennis Club, Unit 901A, Ft. Myers Beach Florida for 2 weeks in March. Our condo had all the amenities. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and glass, etc. Everything was very clean. It was nicely furnished. Location to the beach, mall and grocery store was excellent. We already have plans to return next year.
I asked to delete my account with all my personal information. After many verifications to prove that its mine account they wrote me that they can not delete it. Without any reason. Just "Thank you for contacting HomeAway Trust and Security. I appreciate you formally submitting a request for account deletion. However, I am currently unable to process your request at this time. Please try again within the next couple of months." According to GDPR laws this website has no right to refuse delete your account with all personal information there. Its against the law. THE WORST WEB EVER! STAY AWAY!
This company appears to be a scam
This company appears to be a scam. I was advised in March I would be able to cancel my booking due to Covid 19 and would receive a full refund. I did this believing Homeaway. Six weeks later and after numerous emails and phone calls each time to be told something different I still do not have a refund. The lovely homeowner has advised me that she does not have the funds and has also tried to follow up with Homeaway.
Terribly disappointing to have this middleman withhold people's money and break customer promises. Will not be using again
I recently stayed in a property advertised by, "VRBO, Homeaway". It was a nightmare. The property was at 4005 Windjammer Ln, St. Augustine, Fl. I had to waist 3 days of my vacation because the washer dryer broke down twice and the manager wanted to show the property that is apparently up for sale. After the 2nd breakdown of the washer dryer I was pissed and let the manager know. After that the manager texted me 19 times called me 3 and when I turned off my phone. Then she called my brother who lives in St. Augustine. How she got his number I have no idea. When I put the poor review on VRBO and Homaway the refused to post it because, "It did not meet their requirements". I see the only reviews they post are positive so just beware. My vacation was the vacation from hell.
1- Homeaway, does not check if the manager of a property is officially the manager of that property. Almost anybody can post a property at homeaway telling he is the manager without been.
2- Homeaway does not check the backround or even the present businesses of the people they accept to use their "paying platform". You can pay using Homeaway's platform and even though they don't really know that person or company, and they are unable to get in touch with them, regarding to any issue of the property.
3- Homeaway's website posts reservation numbers of properties that their are not sure the property exists, neither if it's available or not. The process of a reservation number must include checking with the owner dates and amounts in order to validate that reservation.
Be careful, Homeaway's security process is very weak, you can be easily ripped off without Homeaway's responsability. The truth is a very unsafe site.
After booking my rental with HomeAway, I was never updated with the address or any information related to my stay. I contacted HomeAway via email (they don't list any telephone numbers) close to my arrival date and received an automated reply that they would be in contact with me within 24 hours - that was almost 2 weeks ago now and still no contact except for an email wanting to know if I was satisfied with the response (?). I flew the 800 miles to my destination confident that I would have answers once I got there - not so! Thankfully they do list the owners contact number and I got the information I needed from her at 6 PM on the date of my chech in. I will NEVER use HomeAway again and will tell everyone how horrible my experience was. Wish I could contact the owners outside of HomeAway since their property was awesome!
I reserved a townhouse in the Florida Keys just before hurricane Irma was forecast to hit the keys. Big mistake! The HomeAway policy offers a full refund if you cancel with 60 days notice and a 50% refund if canceled with 30 days notice. I gave a 51 day notice due to the approaching hurricane. HomeAway notified the owner to respond to the request in 24 hours and after 3 weeks there was no response. A call to HomeAway did force the owner to call me and verbally agree to return the full deposit. However yesterday (9/26) I was notified the return would be $150 (40%) of the $367 deposit.
Researched the perfect house for a week in the Florida Keys.
The property listed as available.
Entered all my info, INCLUDING MY CC INFO.
Owner got right back with:
'At this point I'm not sure the Christmas dates are available
We may end up using the home ourselves.'
REALLY? Is there any regard for customers here? Clearly not.
Homeaway is a scam of a company. I sent in a reservation request on their site. Then they forwarded my request to their Canadian "affiliate" Canadastays for processing. However, Homeaway charged me a booking fee first, then I was charged again by Canadastays for the same service. Neither one will refund one of the fees. Canadastays tells me that if I had booked on Canadastays I would be charged only one fee. Then Homeaway shouldn't accept Canadian requests, just like Amazon.com send me to Amazon.ca.
I tried to post a negative review relating to a property listed on Homeaway and located near Cimarron, Co. The owner simply backed out of the rental agreement a few weeks before my arrival and left us scrambling for an alternative rental. Homeaway wouldn't post my review because I hadn't stayed in the house. There seems to me to be a major scam element involved in Homeaway's business model. I would never rely on them again for an honest appraisal of any property they have listed.
I have been with them for a long time and never had a problem. Now my xperience has been a disaster! They posted my rates to high for anyone to want to rent my place. I was pnished. My beachfront house which last year had many booking now has 2 which I booked myself. I am leaving them for another company. I have lost well over $60,000 because of their incompetence. I am going with Evolve, they seem much more professional.
I have come to understand that HomeAway and VRBO function merely as third parties who connect renters with owners - they do not protect either party, and ask that each purchase their own insurance in the case of any problems that may occur; however, in my most recent attempt to work with them, I had a rude awakening. My booking was confirmed and my card charged (for over $2 thousand dollars) and then I recieved a message stating that due to a "system error" Home Away had submitted the wrong dates for my stay and the wrong dates were confirmed by the owner. They told me to reach out to the owner to correct this. Unfortunately, the owner refused to refund me. So what was HomeAways error become my nightmare. I have wasted hours communicating with HomeAway and the owner, only to have to file a dispute with my credit card company. Beware - I would never have expected this treatment from a company so large and with so much to lose.
I would not recommend this holiday rental company at all, or the property we were looking forward to staying in, we paid a big' deposit and understand no refunds HOWEVER we are in unprecedented times and hoped the owners would bend a little... but no only 6 days paid £1400 deposit for June 2020 and they offered to rebook between Nov -March 21? Low season with a big family! In Newquay! So have lost all that money I wish someone could help but HomeAway have done nothing and I don't even have an account now... I would NEVER use HomeAway again
I was sold a property but never got to stay there. I found out 2 days before our trip that we could not have the property that we paid for two months prior. While this is not Homeaway's fault, how they handled this was awful and completely u professional. Even though on their app I had a reservation they literally said I had no reservation. This is due to the fraudulent seller who told me I HAD to pay him via PayPal. Due to this, homeaway is taking no responsibility and is still allowing the guy to rent more properties! This was a devastating event for us and I will never use Home away again. HOMEAWAY = STAYAWAY!
I reserved a place through Homeaway in Spain and a full amount of over 1700 euros was charged on my credit card, with a promise that if I cancelled the reservation within 90 days from the date of the stay, that I would get a FULL REFUND. Let me just say that this did not happen. I cancelled a reservation 120 days before the stay date 5 days after I had booked it, expecting the ' in writing' promise of a full refund... and I waited... and waited... after two months, had to fight and spend hours on the phone with HomeAway and the owner of the property to get a portion of my money back with over 120 euros missing. HomeAway had the audacity to charge fees for the transaction of over 120 euros! To me and in my books, that is theft... I will never use HomeAway or VBR again and my friends certainly won't either after hearing about my experience... HomeAway is absolutely rubbish... There was no 0s hence the overall rating of 1 which they do not deserve.
The owner did not refund my money after i canceled, the representative told me that i have the right to get full refund, then they wanted me to get a letter from my bank that they can not give me the money back, bank said they do not give such letter and they just ran away from the guarantee, will never use again, thieves
We were looking at what seemed like a nice property to rent. I had several questions and I asked the supposed owner if I could have a phone number to call them. He flat out refused and said I was phishing. Plus the way they try to get you to rent is by showing a price of 149 a night... and then no matter what time of year you click on the price is all the sudden 199 a night. The they have a "service fee" of 50 dollars and a "administrative fee" of another 35 and then a "lodging tax" of another 23 dollars. STAY AWAY.
We rented an apartment from Etienne Feru in Annecy and was accused of having spilled oil on his floor. We clearly objected to this false accusation as the stain was present when we took over the apartment. We objected to any deductions being made from our deposit three times to Homeaway - we heard nothing and they paid the owner EUR 150 from our deposit! Ever since I have tried to reclaim my money w/o any luck. Yesterday I was informed the owner had provided 'sufficient evidence' of us having damaged his floor. I politely asked to see the socalled sufficient evidence as I was curious to see how the owner would prove an impossible thing. Guess what? Homeaway informed me? I could not get access to this evidence!
I can only urge everybody to stay away from Homeaway and in particular to Mr. Etienne Feru from Annecy. What a fraudulent pack of cheats.
Answer: Homeaway is charging a fee for paying through them. They said it was to improve marketing and because renters like to pay through them. As some one who is listed through Homeaway I find this practice destructive both to the owners and renters. I encourage all potential renters to contact the owners directly and pay us directly. Owners already pay a fee. If the owners want to be listed in higher tier you have to pay more. To me they are just trying to find ways to make more money at both the owners and renters expense without improved service for either.
Answer: Go elsewhere. Sadly what started as a very good site many years ago has evolved into an unethical monopoly that has a sole interest. Profit. They do not care about owners or travelers. They exist to remove you from your money, and will say one thing and do another. They have lost the faith and trust of both, and it is well-deserved. Anyone coming on board with any of HomeAway's companies as a traveler or host would be foolish considering their underhandedness.
Answer: That's a toss up... Kinda like eBay with sellers and no feedback... In general... I don't trust Home away anymore than I can throw em... cuz they are gonna side with their rentors and not you...
Answer: No, they won't. Worst agency I ever dealt with. Warn all you friends. They should be put out of business.
Answer: HomeEscape.com is relatively new but with the new Expedia Service charges on HomeAway/VRBO, the homeowners are moving over to HomeEscape in droves. Over the next year as the HomeAway subscriptions expire many of the homeowners will not renew with HomeAway if HomeEscape turns into a good alternative. In general we (homeowners) are pretty upset that Expedia is going to make over 4Billion in added income from our customers just in the first year of the fee, if folks continue to book through them. Many of us will feel pressure to lower our rental income but if you only knew our expenses you would know this is not really a big money maker for us - personally, these fees will actually put us well into the red. So, for our guests and ourselves, HomeAway will no longer be a site we do business with once our subscription expires. And, though we used to rent through them at least once a year, we're done with that as of now.
Answer: This was my first and last experience using a similar service. I have been traveling for years, staying at hotels, with no problems. Given my experience with homeaway, I will only use reputable hotels from now on.
Answer: If I were you I would run as far as you can from these people!
Answer: I don't think our guests are aware of the rip-off yet. Look what it took for us to figure out what they are doing.
Answer: Avoid them at all cost! They're criminals!
Answer: Trust me, Homeaway does NOT assist you contrary to what you might think of them as sort of a back-up if there are problems. It's the worst agency I've ever dealt with.
