I bought airfare from Kiwi.com. They canceled due to Covid. I requested refund. Tiny refund 4 months later. I had to sue in small claims court to receive the rest (13 months later).
I do have proof of purchase, and all legal records for verification. Would love to add name to class action lawsuit.
This is the worse company I have ever used to book tickets... The first and last time.
Very misleading and providing incorrect information.
I booked tickets on the 17th March for £1165. 00 and I cancelled these tickets due to incorrect dates within 5 minutes.
They have now refunded me £291.00 because apparently that's all the airline has returned. I have lost out on £885.00 only because I cancelled due to the dates. THIS IS ABSOLUTLY RIDICULOUS.
When you call the company, they advise you to talk to the airline and the airlines do not query anything further as this is booked through a travel agency airline. This is the worse company I have ever used. I will be taking further action as this is a lot of money for me to lose. What a rubbish company and procedures.
My reservation number is *******, I canceled the reservation as soon as I made the reservation, but the cancellation was not processed. In addition, I changed the reservation, but the reservation before the change was not refunded. When I called about it, the agent got angry with me and hung up the phone unilaterally.
Flight delayed but no information send by kiwi.com. One solution take a flight next day and stay one night at hôtel.
After send complaint at kiwi.com their answer is apologies but we will do nothing.

I am writing this letter with a request for a full refund of the money that I paid for tickets from St. Petersburg to Chisinau and from Chisinau to St. Petersburg. More than a year ago I requested a return, still have not received a response, this is outrageous. I paid for services that I never used through no fault of my own, but because of the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. + to everything in my personal account, only one ticket Chisinau - St. Petersburg is indicated, but this is not true, there were two tickets and I requested a return for both tickets. I look forward to an answer.
I understand this is a hard time for everybody, including OTAs like Kiwi.com, but what they offered to me was just ridiculous - I needed to pay 800+ Euros to get my SWISS flight rebooked, while SWISS's website showed that the price difference is only 400 euros. What's more, they didn't provide a breakdown of the new ticket price, no transparency to customers at all, I've been communicating with them back and forth for 10+ emails and no satisfactory solution was found. If I need to go through so much trouble just to get my flight rebooked, what's the point of doing business with them? Had I booked directly with SWISS, there would have been much less pain. Will never book with Kiwi.com again. In contrast, Ctrip.com gave me 100% refund instantly for my other flight.
If I could give a negative, I would. We missed a connection and I had to rebook after I paid this joke of a company. Then, after our trip on the way back, the airline did not find our other booking and I had to rebook out of pocket again to get home. They put us on hold several different times for hours and never resolved. I have been fighting the credit card company for reimbursement! NEVER use this scam service!
In short: my flight was canceled due to covid, my airlines transferred the refund beginning of Nov to kiwi.com and kiwi continues to blames the airlines and claims they didn't get the money yet. Today is end of Jan and I haven't received my refund yet. My friend who booked the same flights only received it after threatening to involve a lawyer.
Worst morale! Will never book with kiwi again.
Kiwi.com booked us on a flight we weren't eligible to fly on- then even though we had booked a Flexi ticket they wouldn't re-book or refund anything. It was the first leg of a multi leg trip and we missed the entire trip. Customer service was absolutely not helpful and even hung up on us. It was really an unbelievable experience.
I bought a ticket searching in Euros to show the cheapest price. The were actually showing the prices in another currency and my flight cost 3x as much as what I thought I was paying. Please do yourself a favor and do not book here.
I spoke to two customer service reps and explained to them that I had booked my flight in a rush to attend a funeral. I realized that I was not allowed to check in my one suitcase even after I offered to pay extra for one checked baggage. There has to be some room to move on compassionate grounds.
I had to cancel my flight (no refund Issued)and book with a reputable Airlines.

You buy a flight, later get an email saying you need to pay more or your flight is cancelled theeeen... several days later you will get another email asking for passport info (which my children do not have) in order to finish the check-in process... or you may have to pay even more fees to check-in with the airlines. Scam!
This company is shady, do not trust them! I bought the tickets 5 months before my flight. They've change dates of my flight, then 2 days later emailed me again saying that everything is ok and nothing has changed. 2 weeks before my flight I've checked that everything is ok and it turned out that my flight has been cancelled. When I've contacted them they said they are still waiting to get the money from the airline to refund me however that's a lie. I've called airlines directly and I've been told that they have sent money back to them 2 months ago! So that was a lie, so they just kept it for 2 months. Surprisingly they refunded me that same day i've contacted them but this time they've kept 200 $ for them selfs and told me that's all the've received from the airline company. That is another lie - airline stated that they always refund 100% of the tickets and that is their refund policy. The dates in the email are not correct, they lie and don't take responsibility for anything.
I shocked yesterday in airport when they told me U can't fly, this is a disaster, they make me sick, it is not possible yoy fet refund in any circumstances, they send me ticket without ticket number. I paid for ticket that doesn't have number, so it isn't clear, where I should claim for refunds, they says pay anonther 31 dollars we help you for refunds, so they sell problematic ticket to you to get your 31 dollar
Due to covid 19 changes & quarantined again our flights from Malaga to Hungary needed to be changed, kept trying but couldn't do it online on my own kiwi.com account that they get you to set. After 7-8days of sending messages & no answer bu phone, I got a response this morning which was too late as our flights were this morning, saying my issue had been resolved & blocked me from replying.
Worst, worst company ever for customer service, we have now lost over £300, a strong complaint letter will be sent to the head office with more bad reviews to follow... will never ever use a third party for flights again... biggest mistake I've made, will take your money then dont want to know...! Furious
Awful customer service, awful app, awful experience. Will never use them again. Flight got pushed UP by over 6 hours, ruining an entire day but they did nothing to help. Didn't put me on another flight or cover my hotel expenses for the 12 hour layover I ended up having. Also lost money due to canceled dinner reservations but they did nothing. This is the 2nd time I've had issues with this company and I'm never going back.
P.S. If the airline offers you another flight or a refund, they don't pass it onto you.
I booked a trip for me and my son to Tokyo. The website said the trip fee increased and to pay more $ to continue. I did, but the itinerary changed dramatically. So I canceled the reservation to start a new trip. I was only credited back $10 from the $4,019. I paid to them. They wouldn't refund me nor issue a voucher for travel. What a rip-off! Now I cant go on my vacation with my son because they messed up their website schedule. Crazy that a company is allowed to operate this way.
Miserable customer support!
My flight has been cancelled and rescheduled by the transporter (Tukirsh Airlines), and as per the policy of the transporter i am entitled to a 100% refund due to the unvolontary changes of flight. I have contacted the airlines directly to confirm my eligibility but Kiwi pretends that i am not. Even the airline is surprised by the position and lack of support from this travel agency... I am a frequent traveller and this is one of my worst customer experience with a travel agency company.
Run away if you don't want to loose your money... unacceptable customer service... Only interested by their profit and benefit and not by the customer care at all... Even if the customer is entitled to reimbursement!
Went out of country with 9 days vacation. After several canceled flight & nights stranded in airports we gave up on Kiwi as they offered little help & no refunds on seat or luggage fees and every excuse to not offer hotel vouchers. One reroute flight was in 2 countries and 4 total flights taking almost 2 days instead of the 1 flight we could find for more money. Kiwi does NOT care about your stress or time frame or where you'll sleep. Beware of this website... we paid $2,000 and ended up costing us hundreds more in hotels & layovers & new seat & luggage assignments we'd already paid for. A horrible stress of what should have been a beautiful vacation in the end.
They kept changing my flight times then they added another stop over and knew I would miss my international flight because of this.
Their alternative was for me to purchase another flight for €250? Lol.
They are scammers, do not book with this company.
Update 25/04/2023 - I had a missed called from Kiwi ( obviously after seeing this review)
I called them back and the guy I spoke to on the call said there was no changes to my flight and my original flight was still flying on said day & time? I told him about the email and he was still adamant the original flight was on time / date. Only after 7mins did he realise there was " a comment " on the booking stating we needed to fly to Boston lol.
He more or less said " it is what it is "

Answer: I have reserved 7 flight through Kiwi with Spirit Airlines. Within 24 h I realised that I made a mistake on the flight date. I made a change and saw that Kiwi wanted to charge for both flights. When I told them I thought I could be reimbursed, they told me to go through the refund process on their website. I did. Just to make sure, I called Spirit and explained the issue. They said that they would fully reimburse Kiwi because the change was make within 24 h and it was an american law. Today, I received the answer for my refund request and Kiwi said they could not get reimbursement from the airline and I would have to pay double. When I tried to reach them to tell them there had to be another way, all of their contact information on their website was 'temporarily unavailable'. I feel like they have stolen from me.

Answer: Kiwi makes money from air flight cancellations and mistakes they make because They will refund nothing! I even bought add on insurance. That doesn't prevent them from dismissing it will all sorts of unreasonable misdirection. They have no right to operate and be so big... at the expense of poor unfortunate customers who spend their hard earned money to travel. The give the aviation industry a really bad name.

If you want to get your money back, then email the US Department of Transportation (douglas dot e dot davis at dot.gov) and CC the CEO of Kiwi.com (oliver dot dlouhy at kiwi.com), the Vice-President of Customer Services (Petra dot Reiter at kiwi.com), and the head of customer servcies for the EU (anna dot cavazzini at europarl.europa.eu) Good luck and do not use them again.

Answer: Yes call them threat them that you will sue them and also tell your credit card company that they made a mistake and are not owning to it. Get screenshots of everything including your calls to kiwi. Ask them for a voucher and on other hand contact your credit card to file a dispute.
