Letter from OptumRX today is insulting. "Pay your outstanding balance to prevent a hold on account & a delay on future orders" total due $0.00. This is insulting to a customer who pays their bills on time. Management must do a better job separating payers from non-payers and appreciating those customers who pay their bills on time. That is why my rating is 2. Customer support employees are courteous & professional. Management is another story
Could you please hire people that speak English. And stop outsourcing to India.
It makes it very hard, to speak and have them understand. So I or other members don't have to repeat our self 5 or 6 times, and then get so fed up. And just hang up...
Their idea of customer service is for the customer to contact them with the problem and leave a call back number and/or email so Optum can contact you, if they do. The people on the phone will tell you completely different things than you are told in emails, so who do you believe? They had been accepting and applying my manufacturer's co-pay card and then they stopped and charged me. I never received any notice! I contacted them and was told 2 different times THEY made an error by not applying it and a refund was being processed. It never happened - big shock with this company that almost seems to have attended a Bookcooking seminar hosted by Ken Ley of Enron. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Poor service if you get service and then don't believe a word they say.
Can I register a Zero for stars?
For years I could trust Optumrx to get my few medications on time and accurate-NO LONGER.
It took me 9 days and 10 or more phone calls. They ignored my doctor"s request to refill when I had only enough medication to last a few days until I did run out( my doctor had doubled up on
My medication to see if it would work better for my blood sugar) causing me to run out before the refill date. This was explained to one representative after another. All they did was put it on hold-day after day. Now I realize what a poor company they are-will look into changing my medicare company next year to get away from Optumrx.
I have used mail order pharmacies in the past. Optum RX is the worst! They lost my copay assist which is a saves me 95 dollars a month. I spent 4 hours for my son's meds to no avail. I am sick and tired of his meds and mine being held hostage by this company. They have NO idea what added stress they put into our lives. I frank do not think they care at all.
I have spent 2 days on the phone with OptumRX about 2 prescriptions, no one knew what they were talking about, one person couldn't add correctly. I was told I needed a prior authorization when I didn't. When they couldn't answer me they switched me to the Medicare number hence I am not on medicare. I spoken to at least 10 people who all had the incorrect answers. I finally had my local pharmacy fill the prescriptions and they will be 66 dollars less for a 90 day supply of both combined meds. Don't know how this company stays in business. They are rip off artists, big time.
I have been trying to refill my prescription since the new year. I have been told many times that they (Optum) are having a hard time submitting the claim. At first they stated that my insurance had changed. I have had the same insurance for the past 18 yrs. Nothing has changed. Then they (Optum) stated that my group number changed. I have viewed, reviewed, and viewed again on my card and via the insurance website and nothing has changed. I have five days left on my Rx and now they are yelling PA (prior auth). When you call, the message is that there is a longer than usual hold time due to recent events...SUCH AS? I am completely frustrated and hate to keep bothering my provider about this less than speedy pharmacy. I just don't understand why my place of business do not offer this prescription, which also owns a chunk of Optum Rx, its a hospital that have many pharmacies.
I guess the worst part is OptumRx not following up with me when they stated that they would. BLAH!
I have had several of these Prior Authorization Notification and none have never been approved. I know many people who have also never had one approved. They make it sound like they are doing something for you, but they are full of $#*!. This is a way for them to make you feel like they doing something for you, NOT. I wish companies gave us options when it came to our insurance so we had a choice.
Absolutely horrible customer service experience which was unfortunate because the first team was stellar. The 2nd woman hung up on both me AND the pharmacist. The second call was required because the codes the first team provided were in effective. Pass this along to your HR or Purchasing dept. Trust me, it really does matter!
Never in my life have I ever dealt with such incompetency... ever. I wouldn't even give one star if I didn't have to. In all aspects i would rate this company as poor, from customer service reps all the way to the actual pharmacy. Employees are rude and there is no communication between different departments. I've called a dozen times for the same reason and I have to start from the beginning every single time because there are no previous notes or records of my phone calls. No one knows what's going on. "Customer service" reps are very uninformative and not helpful AT ALL. I'm so frustrated, wish I didn't have to use their service at all. Unfortunately for me, I dont have a choice in the matter.
Answer: They are a legitimate pharmacy benefits manager for United Healthcare, but their prices and practices leave alot to be desired.
Answer: Don't hold your breath - they are all about money - not customer service
Answer: You can send them a message on their website which they won't even read for days, so it's a useless feature. You can also call them at 1 (800) 356-3477 and sit on hold for 10 minutes before getting a person to talk to. In my experience, calling them has never resolved whatever issue I'm calling about, but you can talk to someone.
Answer: Only bad part of this united plan. Optum is worse than poor. They misplace Rx's and then lie
