Ripped me OFF!
September 27, 2017

Signed up from canada for a canadian hotel in a canadian province. When I reserved the room no where except at the very bottom of the page in very small very light gray print stating all prices in USD dollars. My issue is the USD should be right beside the price since there was no reason to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. Reservation button directly below the total not at the bottom of the page. Second taxes ( hotel clerk indicated they have no additional fees) was 20% not 12% plus 15.00 USD for processing. Third customer service was customer $#*!! Becasue I pointed out the issue it wasnt actually and issue. THIS SITE IS A SCAM AND I WOULD USE BOOKING.COM INSTEAD! $#*! YOU RESERVATIONS.COM

Very poor customer service
September 11, 2020

The customer service at Reservations.com is about the poorest I have ever dealt with. On July 9,2020 I was trying to book a hotel room and I was having issues with constant ads jumping in, I thought I was off all of the sites and called the hotel directly and booked my stay. I did not look at my email nor my bank account until I was home at which time I seen that a booking and a booking fee was charged to my account from reservations.com. I paid cash at the hotel for my stay therefore I called reservations.com customer service on July 12,2020. As of today Sept 11,2020 I am still being asked to be patient as they are still reviewing my case and I have not been refunded any monies yet. I have been in constant contact through phone calls and emails and have been told by several customer service reps they are still reviewing my case. I have been told 5 different times that I need to wait 7-15 business days here it is 2 months later and I am still waiting. I will never do business with this company again and I have nothing good to report. It took less than 24 hours to charge my account for a reservation I did not even realize I made and it has been 2 months trying to get my money refunded back to my account. If i could leave a 1/2 star rating I would but only option is a whole star.

Horrible company

I recently booked two hotel rooms over the phone thru this company. I began checking to find my reservation thru the hotel and it was not there. Everyday I called and no reservations were there. The hotel was sold out but I managed to get a cancellation and they told me I could cancel if my rooms popped up. The reservations thru reservations.com never showed at the hotel.
When I checked in I verified no reservations were there. The lady at the front desk handed me a flyer they had printed that said if you booked thru reservation.com they booked your rooms in TN. Customer service was awful. I spent hours trying to explain my reservations were not there.
When I found out they booked my rooms in TN. I called once again. I then had to walk to the front desk and put my hotel on the phone. They then found their error and left me on hold for over an hour. Even though they booked the rooms in TN and continuously told me they were in Birmingham AL will not refund my money. This is a horrible excuse flog a company. Do not use them.

Had an issue an the customer service was terrible. All they did was repeat their script. Took an hour to escalate. I still had to call the hotel myself to get this accomplished.

Unfortunately, I was duped by this company again. Shame on me I guess. After thinking I was booking through the hotel and checking the rates on the room for the dates I wanted; the dates magically changed after I reserved the "non-fundable" room at a "special" rate. Well after all was said and done, these scammers dinged me for $30 in "service fees". The hit me for a non-disclosed $15 and then another $14 for changing the room reservations to the date I thought I was getting from the start. I will NEVER use any service through this company again. My last experience while travelling through New Orleans almost left me, my friend and about 25 other hotel guests stranded without rooms and having to race off into the late night hours to find alternate accommodations after having booked rooms that were not actually available. It was almost a joke with the group of us that were waiting in the lobby as guest after guest walked into the lobby and we all watched as they received the same news that we did just minutes prior to their arrival. No rooms are available.
Reservations.com is the worst booking service I have had the misfortune to experience. My advice. Call the hotels directly and book over the phone. Just make sure you dont get this horrible company's call center though!

They suck. Reservation was made 5 weeks ahead had to cancel within a few days when the reservation was made. $14.99 NON-REFUNDABLE service fee. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS, I DIDN'T REALIZE I WAS ON THIS SITE. HORRIBLE :(: ( :(

I thought I was on the hotel site - but this CROOKED company redirected me to their website and I booked without knowing it was not through the hotel until they had already charged my card! I have done business with them in the past by accident...and when I arrived to the hotel they did not have my reservation! This time I was booking out of the country and I am so afraid the same thing is going to happen again. DO NOT EVER USE RESERVATIONS.COM! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE IN BUSINESS! THEY ARE TRULY OPERATING A CROOKED BUSINESS!

When I went to the hotel to check in the first thing they asked was if this was booked through Expedia because everything looked odd to them. I said No, I booked it through the hotel website. Or at least I thought it was the hotel website. The front desk had a big problem getting everything to go through so they just started from scratch and I finally got my room - at a cheaper rate ($40) by the way than what turned out to be the reservations.com rate. Later checking my credit card bill I'd been billed by the reservations.com as well as the hotel. I think reservations.com mimicked the hotel 's site and made it look like they were legitimate. And they charged me a $14.99 booking fee. Turns out they are some outfit in England. (Plus, I got charged a foreign transaction fee too!) Be careful making your reservations and make sure you're dealing with the real hotel. Next time I'm going to make my reservation by phone and try not to get swindled by this resevations.com outfit mimicking a legitimate business.

Accidentally made reservation at one hotel. 15 minutes later released it was the wrong location. Called Reservations.com and they said too bad - no refund. 15 minutes later! And kept my money.

Price from this site is actually higher than from hotel directly - a rip off.
There is hidden charge around $100 by reservation.com.
Once reserved, it becomes non-refundable.
Stay away from it...

Terrible to work with.

Five times called them. Five times disconnected. Will not return money if you cancel. Told me they Had to contact hotel manager at hotel who I was standing next to. Put me on hold as they said they were calling manager. After 20 minute hold no call to hotel or manager. They lie like dogs. Said you have to wait 7 to 10 days to see if your cancelation will be granted. Never seen such scummy actions. Please DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY... YOU WILL REGRET EVER CONTACTING RESERVATIONS. COMM

Poor Customer Service

Booked a reservation through this site and was unaware one that it was nonrefundable AND that I would be charged 19.99 just to book it. I called customer service and the service provider was very unclear with a accent that was incredibly difficult to decipher. After multiple attempts to understand, the provider said that I was unable to change the reservation from a king bed to two doubles and I would have to cancel at my own expense and then rebook. I then called the Hotel that I booked the reservation at and spoke to the front desk. This customer service provider said they HAD to let me change the reservation and it was ridiculous that I had to cancel and rebook. She changed it on her end and told me if they had a problem with it, they could take it up with her! That is customer service! DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS SIGHT!

Their website misleads you into thinking you are booking with the hotel. You will end up paying more in their hidden fees than you would if you booked directly through the hotel.
