GARBAGE FEES
August 20, 2022

Would rate 0 stars if I could. Thought I found a good deal on a hotel. Company has paid to be first result on Google. THOUGHT I WAS ON THE HOTELS' WEBSITE. Very misleading. Reservations.com will f*** you with their fees, then when you go to cancel because of their garbage fees, they will keep a $20 service fee. I will personally be disputing this with my credit card company, because the website says FREE CANCELLATION, and is false advertising. Book direct or from another website. Don't trust their "free cancellation".

My son's schools sent me a link to a hotel for track championship. The link was to a hotel in Springfield, so I made the reservation. Wrong Springfield, my bad. I called within five minutes to cancel the reservation and was told there was no refund/no concellation policy, and since I clicked on the link I was responsible. I asked to speak to someone higher up- first got disconnected, then given the run around. A total nightmare. I NEVER write reviews, but this was so horrendous and such bad business I had too. The hotel I booked (in Tennesee, not Oregon) was super nice, but also could not so anything. Thanks for ruining my opportunity to see my son compete in the State Track and Field Championships. Horrible business.

Dishonest thieves.
October 26, 2019

The rep I dealt with lied through her teeth. I specifically asked if I was going to be charged a service charge and she said no. When I asked why taxes were so high... 95.00 room charge - with taxes 135.00 she told me it was Government fees. When I googled the hotel I was interested in a picture of that hotel popped up on this sight making me think I was talking to someone directly affiliated with hotel. I had points built up for this hotel and had enough for free night. When I told her this she said I couldn't use them on last minute reservations. Come to find out, they aren't the ones who I would need to contact to make this happen and yes indeed, I could have used points for free stay. How this company is able to stay in business with this kind of dishonest business practice is beyond me. Shame on you, reservations.com employees and owners. There's a special place reservered for folks like you, and believe me... it doesn't come with a complimentary breakfast!

Also accidentally booked through them. They act as if they are the hotel, input your email incorrectly on purpose in order to not send you the disclosed amount, tell you that they booked you for 2 queen beds and when you arrive at the hotel to call and complain they tell you that the booking was for 1 queen. Dishonest company from the phillapenes.

SCAM
October 11, 2019

I did not know I was even on their site when I made the reservation. It looked just like the hotels website. When I made the reservation there was nothing and I mean nothing stating this was a no refundable reservation. When I saw the charge to my account I called the hotel and they directed me to them. I called and the lady I spoke refused to return my money. She would only give me 127 of the 883 they charged. Which is way more then what the hotel charges. When I asked to speak to a manager she refused to put me through. They steal your money and their costumer service is a joke. Don't use this site it is nothing but a scam to get your money and over charge you!

Don't Waste your Money
October 2, 2020

I placed a Reservation at a local Hotel for a family member for (3) nights through Reservations. Com. Two hours later I was informed by this family member the reservation would not work and I called to cancel. I can understand that the reservation starting that evening would NOT be refunded but the other two nights should have been per the disclosure on the reservation confirmation. I was charged a total of $455.88 and NOT one penny was refunded! This reservation service is a total scan and rip off. No not waste your money or time by booking through Rservatons.com. They do not honor their terms

Thank you,

Sunniek

I just checked into our hotel and was told by the hotel staff that we had booked through Expedia. I always book straight through the hotel, so I almost couldn't believe it. I checked my email from "ian" and realize in small print that I ordered by phone through reservations.com. I called directly intentionally because I wanted to avoid any miscommunication. The person on the phone told me that he would use my loyalty rewards number, obviously that was a lie. I was told that they couldn't pull up our room number from last year. He never explained the reason... that I had called a 3rd party reservation's company. In retrospect, that should hear alerted me. This company aims to deceive their customers. I could have gotten a much cheaper rate had I booked directly through the hotel like I had thought I was doing. I will share my experience on social media in as many ways as I can. This is a very bad way to start our vacation, realizing I was taken advantage of and mislead.

Surprise well executed
November 4, 2018

Our dad is a racetrack enthusiast so we just had to book a hotel in Kentucky that wouldn't make it difficult for us to visit one. We booked through Reservations.com and it was so easy to find a hotel that just suited our needs!

I am not sure how it happened that I booked through reservations.com, yet somehow it slipped past me and the booking was completed before I realized the link took me to their website.

I made reservations for the Baymont in Pinedale, Wyoming for July 12-14,2019. The trip was planned for a family gathering for my 90 year old cousin. On July 6,2019, my cousin died so the gathering was cancelled. I called reservations.com to cancel the booking. I was informed it was too late' to cancel. I have talked to numerous people numerous times explaining the situation. To date, July 25,2019, I have yet to be contacted by them or have my money returned.

Charged for CANCELATION
September 30, 2020

This is by far the WORSE company to deal with over the phone! I could not keep my reservation due to a HURRICANE SALLY! They don't give you back your money, a processing fee I get that but the other 1/2 of your money. They constantly hung up on you put you on hold, still sounded like the same foreign person who doesn't speak very good English! I'm NOT through with them yet! I rate them a negative 10!

I thought I was booking on the the hotel site. I picked the room according to the rate. When I got to the payment page, the first night was the quoted rate. The second night was much higher - the starting page indicated the lower rate applied to both nights - completely misleading. There was over one hundred dollars in "estimated" fees and taxes added. And the 19.99 non refundable fee. And it was charging me immediately full price for a refundable room. All of that seems ridiculous. I found the actual hotel website and saved almost 200 dollars from what Reservations.com was charging for the identical room. ALWAYS BOOK WITH THE HOTEL DIRECTLY. The scam is that I really thought I was on the hotel website and I am careful and aware. The other scam is the bait and switch with room rates and the crazy fees. AVOID.

I called the hotel to ask questions about booking a reservation and then proceeded to book with what I thought was the hotel. When I receive my confirmation email I realized I was charged a 14.99 service fee. When I called the number on the email I realized I booked with reservations.com. Nowhere on the hotel's website was I told I was working with reservations.com nor when the person answered the phone did they identified themselves as being with reservations.com. I immediately called to cancel my reservation which the service fee is nonrefundable since they provided me with a service. I have emailed back-and-forth and have tried to question the customer service representative's and gotten nowhere, when I have asked to speak to manager they say there's not one available and then hang up on me. Avoid reservations.com at all cost, the service they provide you can do for free anywhere else!

I was tricked into booking a room through reservations.com when a popup covered the hotel website I was using. Only when I got the final amount did I realize there was something wrong. It was higher than it was supposed to be so I took a closer look at the booking I had made. I had made it through reservations.com instead of the hotel website I had started out using. I called to cancel the reservation and told them that I had not intended to use their site but had been using the hotel website. They agreed to cancel the reservation but would not return the $15 booking fee. I asked to speak to a supervisor about it and was told that one would call me back within a day. I never heard from them. I did get a credit on my credit card for the amount of the room I canceled but not the booking fee. Now I am concerned about the security of my credit card information.

Rip Off!
February 27, 2018

Do Not use Reservations.com. We booked a room at a Days Inn in Cheyenne, Wyoming specifically requesting the same or similar room as we had walked in and received two weeks earlier. The reason was because it was near the pool and we were driving 6 hours and were bring the grandkids to swim there. When we arrived we discovered the pool was broken, had been for 3 days and would not be fixed for 3 more. They would not refund our money totally. After we requested the room because of the pool and they knew the pool was broken.

I booked a hotel room in Verona NY for a conference at a rate that I was ok with but thought it was high. After I booked it I later found our that I was entitled to a special deeply discounted rate. Within 15 minutes of booking it I tried to cancel the reservation. The reservation was cancelled but. $14.95 charge, for what I don't know, was chaged. When I cancelled the reservation, they told me it was 100% refundable.

I travel for a living and spend 125 night a year in hotels. The charge is BS and was mislead about the credit. I will make a complaint to the resort regarding the actions of one of their business partners.

Scam
May 13, 2017

I thought I was calling La Quinta Inns as I was on their website and I do not book through third parties. The only reason I called was I was having problems booking online. I asked if I was speaking directly with the hotel and she said they handle that location's reservations. I asked multiple times why she would not take my rewards number and she said to present it at check in. I cancelled the reservation the day it was made and if I go to their site it does not show a reservation. I called when I noticed my credit card had 2 charges (one being the $14.99 fee that was NEVER mentioned). I called and was told that I did not cancel-he was unable to explain why it appeared to me that there was no reservation. I have yet to be refunded any money but I will be reporting them to LaQuinta and the BBB. They do not answer questions asked and apparently they do not process cancellations. I too do not have any idea as to how I was directed to them.

DO NOT USE EVER!
August 2, 2019

I didn't do my researched and booked through reservations.com. I was told these were highly discounted rooms and that I was getting the best price. A friend suggested I call the hotel direct and check room rates, I did and was not happy. reservations.com was 30.00 a night more. When I called reservations.com I was told my reservation was nonrefundable and when I asked about getting a lower rate I was told that was not possible because their rooms are already at such a discounted rate. The Customer service rep was unfriendly and unwilling to listen to my complaint.

Hide by using Reservations.com to act like a hotel website and pay your way to the top of Google Search, then charge $19.99 for reservations on a separate charge top of hotel rate advertised on the hotel site. Shame on me for clicking on the top line of a Google search, but weak a$$ way of doing business. Reservations.com adds ZERO value Will never use again and learned to look at URL and Google weak "ad" tiny logo. This type of advertising should be illegal, when searching by a named hotel in a search, the actual brand should show on top. For Example, search Hyatt Regency DFW, Hyatt's website should be on top. Search Hotel at DFW, then a slimeball web site like Reservations.com can pay their way for clicks. Lesson learned, hope it help someone learn too... Don't fricken trust the first Google search return

I checked cancalation policy and it says all but 19.99 would be returned. Well that didn't happen. They kept it all. Would not use this again and i hope noone ulse does either.
