I searched on Hampton *******@leessummit and fit reservation.com. I made four room reservations and was unknowingly charged 19.99 for each room. I was not told this was happening. Then, due to an illness, the rooms had to be cancelled. All of a sudden my one room... the most expensive one was reconfirmed and now it was umcancellable. Thanks to the Advocate, my reservations we're cancelled but I have yet to know the dollar amount of credit I will receive. This was not a positive experience for me... and it still could be a nightmare when I see the amount credited... I just do not feel good about this whole thing... from beginning to end.
A special getaway reservation through this site, and needed to be managed, and they failed to connect with the hotel for me. I found out the day before when I called the hotel directly and they had no record of my reservatrion. When I called reserations.com to fix it, they were unable, and I spent many long spells on hold on the phone w many calls that were dropped.
Going rate for a 2 night stay at Hampton Inn in Nappanee was about $173.00 canadian. They were offering $166.00. Not a lot of difference, but $7.00 per night is something. The Canadian price would be $173.00 + 13% Taxes = $195.49 and a small booking fee. On the last page, where you confirm your payment, there was small print at the bottom of the page that all costs are in USD. They charged the room in USD, the charged the canadian taxes in USD, they charged the $19.99 service fee in USD. In the end the per night reservation was $296.39 per night. Almost a $100.00 per night difference. I called theie Customer Service line and they said that since it was within 5 days, the $19.99 USD cancellation not valid and it would be $219.00 USD (1 night stay) to cancel..
Called to cancel reservation over a month early due to a cancelled graduation because of COVID-19. They refused to refund the 19.99 fee. I found reservations.com by accident when searching for the actual hotel site. I didn't realize till it was almost done with the reservation that i wasn't on the hotel site but instead was on reservations.com. I spoke to a supervisor when cancelling the reservation and asked for the fee refund. He refused. I strongly recommend that you do not use reservations.com. Use the actual hotel sites. Most will allow cancellations with no fees.
We booked a room with reservations.com and it said refundable room. Upon our plans changing we looked into the refund policy on the refundable room we booked and after we booked it they're now saying that the policy changed and the room is nonrefundable. We then called to talk to them and asked to speak with a supervisor who would not even let us talk or answer our questions just kept reading the policy on the email that was different from the policy that was presented upon booking the room.
After something came up and I had to cancel my hotel reservation, I attempted to contact reservations.com 3 X to cancel. I was well inside the cancelation period, but they continued to punt me back to the actual hotel. The hotel could not do anything about it and in the end reservations.com was happy to cancel my reservation after I was outside my cancelation period but would not return my money.
We thought we were in the hotel's website, but it was in fact the hotelname.reservations.com. It was not clearly identified on the booking page that the cost were quoted in US dollars and that you would be charged immediately once you had confirmed the booking. So if you are a Canadian customer beware as they will charge you in USD, so if you cancel you loss on the exchange rate. Very deceptive marketing.
We accidentally booked the wrong date, to change the date they doubled the cost. My husband agreed, I called back within the hour to change and they wouldn't cancel the charges ended up being over 1500$
I booked a hotel room for a family event in early March. I had to cancel my reservation due to weather. I canceled 24 hours before the check in date. Now on the 20th of March I still haven't received a refund. I called the customer service number and was told because I canceled my reservation online I was not able to receive one. Very unhappy.
The representative was very kind though so you have that going for you.
You may be making a nonrefundable reservation and not know it.
I'd never make a nonrefundable reservation. Never. Yet somehow I did, and now I've lost over $300 dollars.
Go somewhere else. Expedia, Travelocity, anyplace.
They have, so far, bilked me out of $136 and another $20. The "customer service" person I spoke with could barely speak English. They took the $ out and then another $112 was taken out from the hotel. That's $250 for a one night stay!
I turned them in to the BBB.
And while the $ was taken out immediately, I have to wait "7-10 business days"!
When I tried to make a reservation for Shareton, I typed in the name of the hotel in Google search, and this website pop up, which appear to be the official website of Sharetonl and give me a quote. When i click on reserve button, i thought i just made a reservation. Then i got a message saying that my credit card is charged, more surprisingly it charged much more than it supposed to charge. It also said it has send me an email, but I still have not got the email a few hours later. When I call the number on the website, it says I can only change my reservation within 7 days of arrival. I have never encountered such a misleading website. The experience is totally frustrating. I would never use Reservation.com again.
Did not realize I was on an American website and the currency notation was not obvious, so I had booked before I saw it. Also, initial amount in US currency, including tax, was increased once I received confirmation by another 15 USD. The total price was way beyond what I should have been paying.
Booked a couple of rooms for business trip and 2 days later wanted to cancel because going through the hotel was cheaper. They would not reimburse ANY of the money (2300. 00!).
DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM!
I thought I was booking a room directly with Holiday Inn but somehow ended up on this site. Not told there was a fee or you couldn't get a refund if cancelled. With Covid I would have never booked on a site you couldn't get a refund.much less a fee!
Phoned to cancel reservation 15 minutes after reservation was made, I phone 3 times, 1st time operator hung up on me, 2nd the line cut off after waiting over 12 minutes, 3rd time same thing, after I told operator that I want to cancel, the line cut off. Also they charge quite a bit in fees, the room was $324.00 after taxes and fees it was $435.00 WOW! Crooks
I didn't know I was using Reversations.com when booking my vacation. I was told NO Chargers till 1 day before checking in. I found out reversations has already billed my credit card. To make it better,
The won't answer the phone. I get a computer answer, then it hangs up.
BIG RIP OFF DON'T USE THEM.
I inadvertently went to the website on a google search thinking I was booking directly with a hotel not knowing that I went to Reservations.com and was paying in US dollars (no indication on site - I live in Canada). I cancelled immediately when notified by my card and I noticed that I paid 1) too much for the room to begin with and 2) in US dollars. Now two things bother me, I will get a refund (hopefully soon) but will loose money in the exchange rate conversion US to CDN dollars AND you now being charged $19.99 US for the cancellation which is non-refundable which you can bet the hotel will not see and will not charge me as I have rebooked through Expedia.ca. This is dishonest. I have asked for this to be refunded too.
I made a reservation through the website and when I got to the hotel it wasn't there. It took me over 30 mins to get the reservation situated and me calling them and them having to call the hotel and send over paperwork. Overall bad experience and would not book with them again.
Reservations.com is a sham. I tried to make a reservation for a vacation a month away. First my representative had such a thick accent I couldn't understand her, I requested to speak to someone else and she refused. After booking everything I realized I hadn't called the hotel directly like it looks like on the website. I called the hotel directly. The reservations.com representative had given me the wrong confirmation number, booked the wrong date, and the wrong room. I called reservations.com back literally minutes after making the booking and was told that my refund was not guaranteed and that if they had in fact made an error they would need to launch an investigation into the matter where they would go over the phone call in which we booked the hotel. We lost our money and now we don't even want to go on vacation. So in conclusion reservations.com is nothing but a company of thieves. DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
