I was invited to an out of town wedding and googled the hotel. I explained I was making reservations for a wedding, they said they saw the wedding and the cost of the room was $351.86. I thought it was a bit steep but I charged it. Come to find out it was not the hotel I was talking to it was these jokers. We have had a death in the family and I need to cancel... can't do that DO NOT get douped like I did! I don't even want to give them a star!
This site showed up when I went to make a reservation at a Sheraton for a medical conference. I *thought* it was the Sheraton's own reservation system. When I received the confirmation I found it was a third party company - I had to add an additional day but I called (immediately) and was told I could neither modify or cancel my reservation, and that I was also being charged an additional $15 as their service fee. They told me they would "check" with Sheraton about a refund, however they not only did NOT check with the hotel, they sent me their own email with "pictures" of where on my reservation it stated it was nonrefundable. So, the supervisor I spoke to had lied to me about their process. I contacted Sheraton directly, added the extra night AND was charged LESS than the Reservations.com website. It's a total scam.
I made a reservation, fees and taxes were not displayed upfront, which happened to be well above the normal rates making the booking way more expensive than originally advertised. This website advertises low rates, uses Expedia (and other websites) to book your reservation, and then they charge you more for it. I called to have the reservations canceled and of course I got the runaround about calling the hotel, so I called the hotel and they told me to call the company who made the reservation in order to cancel. They hope that you give up and not do anything and just take it. Instead do the following:
What to do:
-Call your credit card company to stop the payment
-Write a letter to the BBB better business bureau
-Get a lawyer to bring this website down with a class action lawsuit to get everyones money back
Ask for a supervisor and your not allowed to talk to them. They keep you in a loop, put you on hold, repeat the same information the supevisor is too busy to talk you have to deal with me. But you can't help/ My supervisor say you have to talk to me.
I thought I was making hotel reservation with the hotel (by phone on the site) but it turned out to be reservations.com. To make it short, I cancelled the reservation within half an hour and asked for cancellation confirmation email, which I got. Strange thing is, the email says they cancelled itinerary no xxxxxxx which is different from the itinerary number on the reservation confirmation email. And the confirmation email had confirmation number and itinerary number - for hotel reservation. So I called the credit card company immediately and they told me the money was already charged to my account. I informed the credit card company that the I cancelled the reservation with reservation.com. By phone contact and that reservation.com emailed me the cancellation confirmation. The credit card company made a note of it in case the cancellation does not come through. I then made reservation directly with the hotel and it was $50 cheaper for a 2-night stay.
I called in today to book a hotel room in kindersley SK Canada for tonight. I was told it was going to be $115 Canadian. I asked three times and made sure it was for today Jan 6. When I look on my bank account they took off $129 and a another $20. And then when I called in I was told that the booking was made for Jan 7 and if I wanted to change it. It was cash me more. I asked to speak to the ladys manager and I was told I was not aloud too. Worst company ever
I reserved a room at a hotel in England. I thought I was booking direct, but apparently it was through reservations.com. I had to cancel the reservation and did so (I thought) by email to the hotel, but the cancellation was never confirmed. Then I noticed a charge on my credit card for the hotel plus a "service fee" (?) of $19.99. So, if I hadn't followed up on the credit card charges and contacted reservations.com, I'd be out the hotel fee, plus I was still charged the $19.99. Lesson: always book direct thru a hotel.
I booked my room through them at 9pm. Got to the hotel at 11 and they said there was no reservation made for me. I called and called and called and called. Every time I talked to a representative they'd take my info, then put me on hold and never come back. By 12 that night they said they figured it out. They had to reboot their computer and then the info came through to my hotel. But by that time my room was gone. So I had to pay for a 2 bed room, but only got a single bed room. They wouldn't credit me any money back for their fault. I'll go above and beyond next time to make sure I never use them again.
The problem with this website is that you start out on a hotel's page and are redirected to reservations.com. You may not even realize that you are on their website if you start from the hotel's reservation website. Once you click the confirm button it's too late you lost your money if you need to make any changes Or cancel your reservation. The hotel doesn't get your money and neither do you. You are 100% scammed. Your credit card company won't help. And the hotel that you intended to book won't help you. DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES.
Forget using this service - they suck! Can't get through on the phone number listed. If you reservation is more than 7 days out they boot you off and say to call back when it is within seven days. Doesn't jive with some hotel change/cancel policies. IF you do get through to someone they can't speak english so you can understand, they talk over you and don't care what you have to say. They just follow their script. DON'T USE THEM, NOT WORTH THE HASSLE.
We travel to the Killeen, TX area once or twice every year; and since its opening we always choose to stay at the Shilo Inn. We will continue those stays, the quality of the staff and facilities is beyond comparison.
Would never book with them ever again. I give them absolutely no stars but his review made me give them at least one star.
I was given false information on the phone just to make a booking. When I realized I have been lied to I spent hours on the phone trying to cancel my reservation.
The confirmation number they had given me wasn't accurate, no one could find my reservation to cancel it and I was charged to cancel my reservation that I was told was free to cancel.
I was on hold forever, I had to call numerous times, I was promised a call back by a manager new managers ever called me back.
I recently booked a hotel on Reservations.com. Immediately after the reservation went through I realized the date was wrong. I tried to call customer service to change the date to the following day (New Year's Eve) and they wouldn't change my date for me, even though the hotel had another room available for New Year's Eve. Not able to cancel or switch my dates, I am now stuck with a hotel room I do not need or want the day before New Year's Eve. Worst customer experience I have ever dealt with.
I googled a specific hotel to reservations. From the appearance of the website, picture of hotel, etc. I thought I was on that hotel website and so I made a reservation. Little did I know that I actually made the reservations with reservations.com. In the meantime, I needed to cancel my reservation, I went to the link to cancel and it wanted to charge me to cancel. I tried to cancel and could not. I then called the hotel who cancelled for me. I tried again to make sure I was cancelled and still was unable to do so. So I called the hotel again and they confirmed my cancelation. But I ended up being charged anyway. Long story short, I could not prove my cancellation so I have been charged for a room that I cancelled. Lesson learned...check the web address to make sure it is not reservations.com. I was totally duped by them.
I called the number listed on the hotel's web page, which put me on the phone with reservations.com. Their agent did not tell me i was speaking to a 3rd party until i asked him. After i gave him my information, he told me the final price, which was $45.00 more than the price he quoted for the hotel room (1 night stay). I asked why so high and he said taxes. I very clearly told him NOT to book, that i would do it myself because i suspected the $45.00 included FEES. He said he understood, but BOOKED ME ANYWAY. I did not receive notice of the booking. I found out when i checked my credit card statement. I immediately called and canceled, but reservations.com did NOT refund the booking fee. I called again and the new CS rep on the line LIED and said it was refunded, but their refund never made it to my credit card.
I wish I would have just booked my room through the actual hotel, but when I googled the hotel to get the direct website, reservations.com page comes up first and I clicked on the reservations site instead of the hotel home site. Big mistake. My plans changed last minute and the customer service for reservations is the worst. They will not help you and expect you to read every single small print they have. Worst customer service and will not help their customers and will keep your money. There are no supervisors or managers that have answers. They just tell you sorry we can't help you. I would think that during covid business would be more helpful and be better about customer service. DO NOT BOOK A TRIP THROUGH THIS WEBSITE! Double check that you are making your reservation directly through the hotel site.
Thought I was booking directly with Marriott... After I received my reservation, I realized I made a mistake. Instead of booking 1 night stay 3 nights were booked. Called Reservation.com immediately and was told No Changes available. I called the hotel and was informed that they could make the change to 1 night. Terrible customer service, NEVER USE RESERVATION.COM
Thought I had called the hotel I wanted to book. When I called them back to cancel, they said I couldn't cancel because I didn't make the reservation through them. And they couldn't tell me who I had made it through, either. They said I would be charged for the room anyway if I couldn't figure out who I had made the reservation through and cancel through them. Fortunately, I figured it out somehow and managed to cancel it. But I am very disgusted with the situation. I hope it never happens again!
In addition to heavy accents that make you continuously saying Huh? I knew ahead of time i might only stay 1 day but maybe 2. I was told she would make the 2nd night refundable. When tried to sign out i was told i had to have canceled my reservation days before i had even made it. I asked for s supervisor that i never got to talk to. I was called back 10 to 15 min and told it would take several days but that they would reverse the charge. Took 45 minutes to resolve and they made me check out of the room before they would take it to the next level.
I didn't realize that I had to cancel my reservation through reservations.com. I canceled through the hotel two days before my reservation and still got charged through reservations.com. Called and explained what happened, they still charged me.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
