Spent 20 minutes on the phone with the agent and she still couldn't make a reservation. Couldn't get me the type of room I wanted or my corporate discount or get my cc to work. Eventually hung up and called the hotel direct and in 5 minutes had the reservation with the corporate discount. Do not use them, call the hotel direct. If you can't call the hotel direct, find one that you can.
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company! They pretend to be a hotel's website, charge more in "taxes and fees" than is legitimate, and then charge an outrageous "service fee" for absolutely nothing! They don't let you see the entire charge until AFTER it is already charged, so there's no way to know about these fees until after the reservation is made. But then it is too late, as they refuse to make any changes or refunds. When typing a hotel's name into a Google search, this comes up first, but it isn't apparent that it's not the hotel's website. Google needs to ban this company! They must pay Google exorbitant amounts to be listed first in a search, and Google allows this fraudulent company to continue to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers. If I could give 0 stars or even negatives, I would! They don't deserve even 1 star!
Mistakenly hit submit on a reservation, tried to undo it, couldn't get $15 non-refundable fee back. After calling customer service 3 times, they said they would make exception and credit the $15 back. Guess what? That $15 never made it back to my card LIARS and THIEVES!
The hotel was nice but I thought I was booking directly with the hotel. It turns out I did not... I booked with Reservations.com. When I checked out the hotel gave me a bill that charged $188 to my credit card. Reservations.com charged me $270. Fine, I can understand the $15 booking fee (a fee for my mistake) but where did the other $67 go? Humm...
Hotel I will not use this again. I was forced to as I was speaking at an event and this was the only way they would allow me to make a reservation. I did but the system would not let me use my discount code. It also charged my card four weeks prior ( no hotel website does this!) When I checked out of the Best Western Downtowner in Madison. They did acknowledge the rate. However they had already charged my card and were stupified as to how to get me a refund. They clearly did not want to do so.
I have turned this over to American Express.
Never again will i use this service!
I made a reservation on this website and put in the city and state. Later when I looked at the email it was for a different state.
So I had a reservation in a state over a 1000 miles from where I was. Is it so bad to think that if you pit in the city and state that they would give you hotels in that city and state.
The star rating wouldn't be one if I had a choice
I booked a room at the Empire Hotel in NY and they sent me two reservation numbers, thus charging me twice. I called them and asked them to correct their mistake and they "had to look in to it." They said they called the Empire Hotel and they rejected the refund. I spoke with the manager at the Empire Hotel and she said they have never contacted them. She told me to tell them to contact her and she would approve the refund, which I have done 3 times, and still I get the same automated email response that they have contacted the hotel and they will not approve the refund. I called the manager again and Reservations.com has never even contacted them! I would NOT use reservations.com. And I have recently heard other stories from people who have used them and been scammed. Never again!
I book the hotel at $185 per night, unforunately they charged me different price after i checked out. I book for 2 night, and it charge me $500+. Even with tax and other fee, it still should not be up to $500. This is a scam website. I try to contact and ask for cancellation, but they want to charge me $200 cancellation fee. This is a totally scam website and im very unforutnate to get into this web. I will report this to BBB consumer report. This company operate under name "Benjamin & Brothers LLC"
I encourage everyone who got scam report them. This is very unacceptable
They are simply Godless crooks. They do not show the entire amount what they will charge. They send you a receipt with totally different amount after. There is nobody to talk to in their office. There is a pending $95 million lawsuit and probably criminal complain. RUN AWAY IF YOU SEE THE NAME.
I called reservations.com and booked a hotel. I checked into the hotel and they said I had 2 rooms. I said no, only one. They said no reservations.com booked you 2 rooms. They said to call them, they will call the hotel, the hotel will refund them the money and then they'll refund me mine. They said they went through priceline to book it. I called reservations.com and they told me I didn't book it through them 3x. Then I called priceline and they said it was a couple hours wait time and they'd call me back. I finally found the reservation confirmation and I called reservations.com back and they said they only charged me 1 room. My bank clearly shows 2. They were NO help and refused to refund me. I called the hotel back and they said they won't see it until priceline sends them the money which will take a while. This was a DISASTER!
Do NOT BOOK THROUGH RESERVATIONS.com. Worst decision i have ever made. Hotel told me i could cancel one night and reschedule just for the other night. Was told my customer service I'd get a refund. Mf now telling me the hotel told them no! Bunch of scamming idiots! Call the hotel to book do not waste your time or money.
I can't say thank you enough to Reservations.com. It was going to be our first time to stay in Minnesota and we had our small kids with us. We wanted them to enjoy the trip so we looked for a hotel with a waterpark. Reservations.com gave us several options in the area that had waterparks and we found a good deal too!
I accidentally made reservations on the wrong date. ( I actually thought that I was on Marriotts website) I immediately try to contact them. They said that I had to wait until I received an e-mail. When I tried to cancel online, the screen just flashed. I called them and said that the reason that it did that was that it was non-refundable. This is a scam!
Wanted Caesar's website to make reservation. Reservations.com presented the same pictures of hotel and rooms as scene on the Caesar's site. I didn't realize I was on the wrong site until I paid for the reservation and saw the $19.99 reservation fee. Immediately called and canceled reservation. Was told by Radgar that all money, including the $19.99 reservation fees would be refunded. I've now made calls for 2 weeks and keep hearing the refund is coming. It never came. Last time I called and gave the reservation number, the agent hung up on me.
I thought I was booking through the hotel since it appeared I was on the hotel's site. NO WHERE on the "hotel" site did it say there was a $14 fee for booking the room. After I paid for the room, it showed an additional $26. A chat window pops up asking if I need help booking the room. I explain that I don't need help booking the room, but would like to know what the extra fee is for... The response is that the fee is for helping me. Ug.
I made a reservation what I though was directly with the Hilton. I tried to cancel one minute after I made the reservation. I was greeted by a rude and sassy customer service agent. She didn't listen to my issue just repeated I can cancel your reservation but no refund will be refunded. What? NO REFUNDS! I was charged $51.00 more than I should have. Fee's What! BE AWARE OF RESERVATIONS.COM
There should be a class action suit against this company for FRAUD.
Reservations.com is a 3rd party to Expedia and they take no responsibility for the actions. SCAM SCAM SCAM!
THEY ARE THIEVES! They don't tell you about the 19.99 service fee that is non-refundable! I thought I was on the hotel site and making the reservation. But no, I got the worst customer service and headache!
All these reviews site the $15 fee, but they don't realize they got scammed on the tax as well, not to mention hotel price. Hotel tax in Los Angeles is around 14%-15% these people charged 26% for "tax" along with the $15 fee. It also said hotel charges 1 day fee for cancelation, false. Since my elderly mom booked this with the impression she was speaking to the actual hotel, for guests staying near us we walked over there to verify. So far no reservation under our name, in fact the room we booked is not available during those dates and our card had reservations.com and expedia.com charges. I must admit it's a pretty brilliant scam. Charge fee, charge $200 for a $150 room, downgrade the actual room so probably less than $150, double the tax and buy the tickets off Expedia using your card. It's not just a second party, it's a third party buying from a second party that may or may not be honored from the first party. What a fraud!
On Saturday Aug 12th, 2023, we attempted to make a reservation for 3 hotel rooms at an Atlanta airport hotel. We thought we were dealing directly with the hotel, but discovered it was actually Reservations.com. We told the agent that we only needed and would have authorized the reservation IF AND ONLY IF all 3 rooms had been available. The telephone agent erroneously and without authorization, made a reservation for only ONE room, which we did NOT accept or utilize. We attempted multiple times to tell the agent NOT to charge our card or make this reservation, but he did so anyway. Reservations.com has since refused multiple attempts to have a refund issued and we have file a dispute with our CC company.
They neglect to inform you the real rate and currency, plus ridiculous service charges for using the website. Unless you read the small writing on the side of the currency, room rate and service charges. BUYER BEWARE! And then they say can't refund you unless the hotel agrees. So if you want the refund you have to cancel and hope that you get the money back or else you lose your money and the room you paid for. SCAMMERS!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!
Answer: Hello, Thank you for question. Please contact us at support@reservations.com so we can better assist you with this matter. Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to hearing back from you. Sincerely Reservations.com Support Team
Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
