I tried to purchase many items through Aliexpress and it truly is a hit and miss experience. If you value your nerves then stay clear away from this site. My success rate has been at best been 50 percent, and when purchases have gone wrong there dispute process forces you (the buyer) to prove that the seller has: lied, scammed, cheated, sent you the wrong item, sent you a faulty items... and many other problems that I don't have the space to describe here. The thousands of other bad reviews on this review site can't all be wrong... truly, if you must purchase as cheap as possible, then stick with ebay. At least you then have some chance of getting a fair outcome when something with your transaction goes wrong.
It's been 4 months since I made an order. I understand the lockdown issues worldwide. And didn't mind waiting. But after 4 months their tracking showed the product was returned to tune country of origin and yet they keep extending the delivery time and purchase protection is invalid. No one responds. Neither the supplier nor the platform. There is no way to chat with them because they just don't respond. It's the worst customer experience.
It took them about 6 days to ship the item, they sent it in the way I had to pay £16 import tax and they have included an used battery that didnt hold much charge. They can offer little compensation in return but only if you leave them 5 star feedback.
Can't say I completely agree with the other reviews here. The only issue I had was that once I placed an order for a product, it took a few days for them to advise that it wasn't actually in stock. However, they offered me to choose an alternative which I did (about 4.25 inches), and it arrived within 2 weeks, and the product is of very good quality. And it isn't all made of plastic, either!
Perhaps I just got lucky, lol
Aliexpress is both very good and very bad shop, that depends on your ability to communicate with the seller and support. Some sellers are OK, but none of them will match the standards of great retailers in your country.
First, you have to communicate the seller and it should become clear from the communication the item you received is faulty one. Then seller tells "it's your fault". Then you create a dispute, and you should point to somewhere which will clearly explain to Aliexpress arbiters it's not your fault but the sellers' one. And that's it.
Any seller can tell they offer 1, 2, 10 years of warranty. But you have to understand: there's no real warranty after you confirm the item is OK.
Most of items will have no issues, though - if you don't buy the cheapest one and read the reviews.
During the sale season you can buy same item for bigger price, or for lower price. :) Always look for promocodes and coupons during sale season, otherwise chances are you'll go for bigger prices :)
Bought several items from this site. One 200.00 item never worked, I want to send it back after spending 50 hours trying to get it to work with NO instructions that one could understand. The vendor told me to pay the shipping back to China and they would refund me. When I said I was NOT paying the 50.00 to ship it back they would no longer respond. Ali Express did NOTHING
I sent for two waterproof cameras, one had all the items listed, whereas, the other one was missing a charger and battery. I contacted Oakes and he asked me to give him 5 stars while he sent the missing items. This was around July 2017, I am still waiting. Oakes said it was sent and Oakes does not respond at all the messages sent. All I can say is go somewhere else, eBay is good. As for Oakes, what a waste of time. Even Aliexpress are a waste of time too in the complaints area.
I ordered for the first time a full unit. Paid $138.00. I was told I would receive order in 3 days. That was a lie. Took 2 weeks. When the "order" was received. It was samples that cost $10.00. I'm out of $138.00 and have nothing to show for it. Horrible service, horrible products, scam scam scam. I wish there was a rating under 1. They are not worth even a 1.
Ali express is great when you want to spend very little for products. They even do free shipping to New Zealand for many things. Shipping can take a while, but that free!
Some things are a little too cheap in quality, but in general, it's pretty good.
Only annoying thing is that people message you thanks for your order, your item has been shipped. Excuse me valued customer, please don't give less than 5 stars until you talk to me, don't open dispute, just message me etc etc. Try doing a good job and I will give you 5 stars!
You also automatically post feedback as anonymous, yet people message you and ask you to change it to 5 star!?!
I placed 2 orders with this company. One came in and the other one has not shown up but has been paid for (10/7/17) and when I try to contact them through their customer service, I get no replies and unable to log in. I will not recommend this site again nor will I use it; this is a company that cannot be trusted.

Answer: I purchased 3 pair of van's brand shoes via different companies on aliexppress and all were true to size. The off brands are not, so you need larger than you wear. But, ask and ali will usually provide a size comparison chart for you to use.
Answer: No customer service. Some sellers are dishonest. No way to recoup your money for items never sent. Bogus tracking information since no custom number unavailable. Sellers asking for your your PayPal account to make a refund when they are suppose tp use Alipay. Clean up dishonest sellers like co-co fashion store. I have ordered tother items thru Aliexpress without a problem but you should get rid of the bad ones. I am reluctant to use Aliexpress again after this bad experience.

Answer: Do not buy from aliexpress the quality is terrible and lots of sellers never send the items. Also they sell counterfeit designs too which is illegal to purchase.
