Everything on AliExpress is fake. The sellers are fake, their positive feedback is fake, the pretty pics of shiny, eye-catching products are fake, most of the positive reviews are fake.
You're somewhat safe when buying cheap, crappy things, but once you decide to go big and order an expensive phone or other expensive products, chances are that you're never going to get it. Why? Because AliExpress is full of scammers with rigged positive feedback and they're all hand in hand with AliExpress.
You, as the buyer, have no real protection and no control over your order. If the seller decides that they're not going to send your product, there's nothing you can do. AliExpress won't step in for you because they always side with the "sellers" - more like scammers.
I wish that people would read these reviews before deciding to order anything on AliExpress. That would put AliExpress out of business in a few weeks.

The offers and discounts are not real deals. The coupons advertised on products in the search results have many conditions and when I tried to use them they were worthless.

Sellers ship bad quality items without care. Aliexpress encourages this by asking buyers to pay for returns, even when it is obvious the product is damaged or of bad quality.
They charged for an item i cancelled- I then messaged the seller through the app since there's no phone number or email and they left me on read. Multiple times.

I ordered a Christmas gift for my boss last Halloween because I knew it was coming from China and would take time to get through customs and whatnot. Said it would be delivered by Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving came and went. Tried to contact the company, they said to give them 2 more weeks. I tried tracking my package and kept getting kicked to DHL where they said they had no tracking information for my package. Aliexpress was completely useless and unhelpful. Christmas came and went with no package no refund no communication from the so-called company. I finally started blasting them on Facebook Twitter the seller on their website, contacted the BBB and the attorney general for consumer fraud and threatened them with legal action (I work for a law firm) and they finally refunded my money. NEVER EVER USE THIS CRAPPY SITE
I have been shopping at AliExpress for several months and have made quite a few purchases. I have not had any problems with anything I have purchased.
I ordered two spinner rings that did not spin. I notified them and the entire amount paid was refunded, and I did not need to return the rings. I purchased two ceramic drawer pulls which were broken in the mail. Again, entire amount refunded, no need to send back. Refunds were made very quickly, within 24-48 hours - - much more quickly than the shipping time.
IMHO, the prices are lower than you would pay in the States for similar quality.
I have purchased kitchen tools, a Leatherman tool bracelet (very very nice!), parts for jewelry-making, bathroom accessories, and magnets.
I have some favorite stores which I fully trust to send high quality goods for the price paid. I also usually stick to those with free shipping.
I have steered away from electronics and electrical things.
If you want to shop at AliExpress, these are my tips:
Be prepared for the long ship times
Stay on top of your orders - check at least once a week to see if they have been shipped, or if the order is coming close to the closing time
If the order has been shipped, keep track of the time to receive it
If your order has been shipped, and you have not received it, let them know!
Start small! Order some inexpensive things to see the quality
Keep your expectations realistic - don't expect $100 worth of merchandise for $1!
If you have a problem, let the seller know
Write reviews of the items that you receive
Ordered a part from aliexpress. They took my money, and nothing was delivered. They would not refund my money so i am out of luck. Bad site don't order from them.

The shipping time was great... however - DO NOT BUY THIS HAIR, I did not have excellent service or hair. The hair was matted and tangles very easy. Sheds a lot! Terrible hair! The supplier called me at least a DOZEN times to revise my feedback from 3 stars to 5 stars. Not sure why I gave it 3 stars in the first place. The supplier agreed to refund me half my money if I report 5 stars and did not refund me. So, please be aware that I did not write "Excellent" in the comments.
DO NOT BUY THIS HAIR, but if you do be sure to put 5 stars or you will get harassed!
There are a lot of Chinese here who sell spoiled and false goods. There's bureaucracy here and it takes a lot of time to get the money back.

After a 4year hiatus due to getting ripped off on AliExpress, I tried them again. Oh stupid me for thinking that they have improved. NOT! AliExpress condones fraudsters and unscrupulous sellers. Their customer relations is categorically the pits.
Seller sent me a completely different item and seller never contested the dispute that I filed. AliExpress refunded me only 60%, claiming that the garbage items that I received "still has value". The item was supposed to be an aluminum off-road light with heavy duty powder coating. Instead, they sent plastic lights that literally falls apart and is not water tight. I even proved to AliExpress that I had to order from a different seller to replace the garbage lights, but they literally shut the door on me saying that my "dispute is over".
Despite their MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, AliExpress refused to fully refund me.
Don't buy here. AliExpress harbours fraudsters and always decide in favour of their unscrupulous sellers. At least Ebay has a zero tolerance and have consistently refunded me fully for garbage items. Perhaps AliExpress doesn't have the "thousands of sellers" they claim to have and are protecting the few they have to survive.

Answer: In my opinion. NO. I had to jump through hoops and make reports and threaten to make reports, it didn't help. I got my order, but couldve gotten the same thing from ebay faster and easier.
Answer: I purchased 3 pair of van's brand shoes via different companies on aliexppress and all were true to size. The off brands are not, so you need larger than you wear. But, ask and ali will usually provide a size comparison chart for you to use.
Answer: No customer service. Some sellers are dishonest. No way to recoup your money for items never sent. Bogus tracking information since no custom number unavailable. Sellers asking for your your PayPal account to make a refund when they are suppose tp use Alipay. Clean up dishonest sellers like co-co fashion store. I have ordered tother items thru Aliexpress without a problem but you should get rid of the bad ones. I am reluctant to use Aliexpress again after this bad experience.
