I know Alibaba and AliExpress are the same exact company but AliExpress is like the retail version of Alibaba. It can be full of scammers and drop shippers. It is easy to be ripped off because they don't have your back like Alibaba because your not a possible big business. Prices are a little better then Amazon on some things but not others.

If possible unless you are familiar with withing with sellers on there are have trusted contacts I would stay away and stick with Amazon or try Alibaba but it's a little more complicated. Shipping can take over a month a lot of the time and it arrives damaged a lot. Trying to return something to China is a pain. I have had some good buys on there but I happen to know some sellers. If you do use it be very careful and if it seems too good to be true then it most likely isn't.

I cannot in good conscious recommend this site to the average consumer, AliExpress probably will not have your back, unless your willing to pay to ship products back yourself in most cases.

I bought a home stereo and this item came broken I wanted to return it but they never give me a free return label. I spend 2 week of chatting, email back and forth and between seller and aliexpress never give a solution. Meaning they don't refund my money and I got a broken item. AliExpress don't care neither sellers; They are in china one's they have our money nothing else care. DON'T USE ALIEXPRESS TO BUY. YOU CAN LOOK IN THE WEB FOR BETTER OPTIONS.

STAY AWAY!

We wanted to order wedding invites from one of the aliexpress' vendors. Before placing the order all the details have been discussed and agreed upon, such as that we will have 1/3 of the invites printed in English/ 1/3 in German, and 1/3 in Ukrainian. Once the order was placed, they said they can't do it and if we want to get the invites in 3 different languages we have to order 3 times that amount! What the heck?! We don't need 150 invites for 30 families! We cancelled the transaction (the seller, btw, can deny the cancellation) and surprisingly were refunded. But that's not where the story ends!
Guess what? Today, about a week after our experience with aliexpress, I discovered a fraudulent transaction on my credit card from some Chinese online clothing store called www.guaranteedworld.xyz. I've never heard of it and even less so would order anything from them, but yet I had this $104 charge on my credit card! Had to call the bank to flag the transaction as fraudulent and now, have to wait for a new credit card. SO ticked! I have no doubt that my card got compromised because of them! Luckily, I am in the USA, not in Germany, where I would need to pay about $100 for a replacement card and the transaction dispute.
Seriously - STAY AWAY! Not only the vendors don't deliver, your card may get compromised!
P.S. If I could give them a negative rating, I certainly would!

From the last six aliexpress purchases have had only two orders arrive as per order. Last dispute aliexpress accepted false shipment advice as proof of delivery, confirmed by Auspost. Buyer beware.

The seller in this site trying with low price sell goods to you and send used and defected goods, then you want to return requested you pay the return cost, and because of high expenses for carrier, always the seller didn't return and with this way they abused customers and do business,
Aliexpress customers relation cover the seller and don't take care of customers

If you received your product, all good. But if not, you are on your own.
I made a purchase in Sept 2 2017, suppose to receive in 60 days. It's been 90 days, I got nothing.
When I complaint, seller will not refund, just keep saying wait for another 10 days, another 15 days... to no end. When Aliexpress step in, they told me I have to check in every 10 days for the next 50 days to confirm whether I received it or not, all the way until Jan 6,2018!

Seriously!?

This is for $6 dollar purchase. I really don't care so I give up. But I've got so many damn emails, "please wait longer... for another 15 days..." "here is a solution from Aliexpress, wait for another 3 days..." "here is another solution from Aliexpress, wait for another 10 days..." "Aliexpress require you to check with your local postal office to verify it's indeed not there" "Aliexpress wants to you wait for another 50 days for mutual benefit of both parties..." "You are required to respond in 3 days to Aliexpress, check your postal office..." "You are required to respond in 10 days, because you need to check in every 10 days..." Oh for crying out loud, can this gets anymore annoying?!

I will never purchase here again. Ebay is a much better alternative. If you want to buy anything with value, stay away from here.

You have to provide video of your defective products,
To get a refund
And there is lots of them
(defective products).
Like jumping through hoops to get your money back.
Takes almost as long to get your money back as it takes to get there crappy stuff

I have purchased from them many times. I have been fortunate to have received several good products for a great price. Unfortunately I have more often than not received a product that looks little or nothing like what I ordered. I have also very frequently not received an item at all! You have a limited time frame to use to open a dispute with a seller, but the products can take 6 months to arrive! By the time the seller concedes to send you another product and you have waited another 6 months for it to arrive your claim period has been over a long time ago. The end result is you either receive the product at last and are unable to rate the seller for their ship time, or you do not receive a product and have no way of disputing further or rating the seller as a fraud. Can't tell you haw many times I have been on the wrong end of that scenario.

Oh and guess what - They don't have a phone number and cannot be contacted by email! The only way to speak to someone is through a chat window that limits the amount of characters you can send to the equivalent of two sentences at a time. So the agent on the other end has a limited idea of what the issue is and is quick to send you chasing your tail in response.

I am 100% done with them and DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I wish I could give this site a negative star review, but one star will have to suffice. Do not do business with this site unless you've seen multiple reviews under any particular item you are looking at. Their refund/cancel policy is an ultimate joke and there is no way to get help if a seller mistreats you or handles your transaction improperly. PLEASE note that there are good sellers on this site, but you must do your research and NEVER order a large number of things from one shop until you have ordered from them before AND see that they have (on the particular item you are considering) favorable reviews. I have been trying to get refunded an amount for about 3 months now. It's not worth it to be hasty and try for the lowest price. On-Time Delivery means absolutely NOTHING. Even if they do not deliver on time, aliexpress WILL NOT HELP YOU, and there are absolutely no channels provided to you besides an automated chat tool, which serves no real purpose. There isn't a number to call and email will not help you either.

I ordered a dozen glass crystals through a seller from aliexpress. While they did arrive, the seller made NO ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER to assure that they were shipped properly (i. E., all were thrown in a bag without any wrapping around them) and as a result, all were broken either completely in half or chipped at every single facet and were unusable. I am suspicious that they may have even been broken prior to purchase, and that they did this to unload defective merchandise and extort shipping/handling fees. I send a photo pf the damaged merchandise and was old that if I wanted a refund that I had to pay shipping to return the merchandise, which I refused to do due to the fact that the costs were high, no resale was possible on their part, and that they had shown complete negligence in their shipping. The dispute process was a joke; I ended up putting a stop payment through Visa instead. As far as I can tell, there is no way to air a grievance to aliexpress on a frozen order, so I have decided not to do any further business with them and I am sharing my experience where I can. Also, I have to say that prices on ebay are comparable if not better. Aliexpress is simply not worth the headache.

Not as it seems

My experience. I ordered a piece for my car. I received it in a timely manner but the color was wrong. So I complained to Aliexpress and they approved the return. They gave me directions to package the item securely and return it in the mail. After I ship it out they wanted the tracking number. I gave it to them. After it left Chicago to China, no more information was given on tracking. The seller complained and Aliexpress told me I needed more evidence or my refund would not happen. I kept asking the customer service what i formation they needed and they kept saying dont worry we will take care of it. The option to add evidence was not available and I brought that up to them and they claimed to have made a note of it. So they told me to wait until the deadline for submitting g and I did. Turns out Aliexpress gave the seller my money. I no longer have the item, I lost $200 and the extra $23 it had cost to send it. I will never do business with this company again. Lost my respect and trust

I bought a long evening dress from this seller from aliexpress for 225 US dollars. When I recieved it I had to pay extra 30 for customs tax and when I opened it the dress looked like $#*! and not only that but it was made shorter than I had ordered! She told me to return it and she will refund my money so I paid another 40 to return it and its been three months she hasn't refunded my money! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY:

I have had a decent experience with AliExpress. Because I am only a teen, I do not make much money, and AliExpress has been able to help me with that. Their cheap prices are very convenient for the average person, especially if you do not make much money.

Unfortunately there are also cons to the company. Before you get convinced by the cheap prices of the products, realize that you are likely contributing to the exploitation of human rights of others, specifically people who work in poor conditions in factories for little wages. Also know that because of the low prices of many of the products, the quality can often be hit-or-miss, varying from very low quality, to surprisingly decent quality. I once bought a 3 dollar shirt, which even though was legit, had very stretchy and low quality fabric, making it easy to stain. I would recommend reading the reviews before buying any prodcut, and not buying a product at all if it has no reviews. Another trade of for the low prices is the shipping time.The longest a free shipping package has taken to arrive to me is 1 month, which compared to free shipping with other countries, is a lot in my opinion. Although payed shipping is available for most products, it can cost up to 80 US dollars.

I overall recommend the site as long as you shop smart.

If something goes wrong, Right now I'm rolling my eyes

Let me put it this way: Some sellers are great, they are decent people and good, honest businessmen. I've done business with this one guy - many transactions - and everything has gone very well, and I would and will do business with him again.
BUT, if something goes wrong - and 2 other transactions from 2 other sellers did - The resolution process takes a long time, and there doesn't seem to be any way to contact Ali Express yourself. Yes, you can contact the dishonest sellers, but that doesn't do any good.
Ali Express's resolution process takes a long time - so long that your ability to put the charge into dispute with your Credit Card would expire if you were to wait.
This is what has happened to me. I put the charge into dispute with my Credit Card Company because the process was taking such a long time. Now I am told by Ali Express that "my order has been frozen due to you claim a chargeback to cardholder bank". Again, this is an "automated response" with no way to respond to them.
So thank goodness I did what I did, and I hope my Credit Card Company decides in my favor.
Out of 3 sellers I have bought things from: 1 seller is good, and the other 2 were not.
Proceed at your own risk. I will continue to do business with the 1 good seller.
