You get what you pay for

Basically when it comes to AliExpress, you get what you pay for. The items are very cheap and shipping is usually free, and the quality is reflected in the price. I have ordered over 30 items and only once did an order not arrive -- I placed a dispute and got my money back. I have a policy of not spending more than $10 because otherwise it's not worth the risk, be it clothing, accessories, trinkets, etc. I've seen many negative reviews here from people who have purchased electronics from AliExpress and were not satisfied with their purchases. These people are idiots for expecting to buy a good quality smartphone for 30 bucks. So my advice to Ali shoppers is not to spend too much money, to read customer reviews and double check seller ratings, and expect 3 months for delivery

Please note that AliExpress is a company that provides sales services via web portals; mostly for small Chinese businesses offering products to international online buyers. So if you are happy or unhappy with one specific seller, it doesn't really say anything about the next one.
I just received a smart phone "Elephone G1" from the seller "Electronics Park". It is a very nice phone at just USD 60. The service from the seller was excellent: they replied (by chat) within seconds and the phone was shipped within 24 hours after order. Freight charge with online tracking service was included in the price.

This is not the first year I have been shopping at Aliexpress. Here are friendly and attentive sellers who are always ready to help any buyer. Here you can more accurately choose the goods with the necessary parameters than in Ukrainian online stores.

This company does not use reputable stores and refunds are hard to get and take a very long time. Not one of the clothing items I purchased was worth a crap, and trying to have any kind of direct dialogue with them about their poor business practice is impossible. Please don't buy anything from this online crook

Throw the Dice when you order from this site. Sellers are ok as long as everything works. However, when there is a problem, the nightmare begins. I will never buy anything from this site until I hear that they have used some of their newfound billions to improve dispute resolution and weed out unscrupulous sellers like U.S. online sites do.

Each seller is different, you never know who is honest when making a purchase. The site is very poor at allowing to leave negative feedback for these bad sellers, and they go unpunished. Customer support is equally poor, never doing anything to resolve the issue. This was the third and final time I must contact my credit card company for resolution. Of the 12 purchases I made over the past year, 3 were never received, and 2 sellers harassed me to spend more money as they claim they are losing money on transaction due to shipping costs. Support at Ali did nothing to stop the harassment.

Ripped me off! Horrible Company
April 6, 2021

Opened a dispute because I didn't receive my item after 90 days. Seller agreed to complete refund. Refund was NOT complete. Refunded only part of the invoice price. Dispute team closed the case. Now there's no way to contact them and let them know about the fraud. Shouldn't expect anything less from China. They are crooks!

This website contains many sellers so it would not be fair to rate it. However; you should read every word if you want to buy something from this site as it does contain many sellers that are not very friendly and honest. Also; check the processing time carefully because many sellers write the item will be processed in one week and yea they actually spend one week before shipping your order.

Another advice is a very important one: do not buy anything without tracking number unless it's very cheap. Singapore Post or Hong Kong Post is good economic choices.

Daily routine

A stop at Ali's SUPER store is a daily routine. Several website inconsistencies are still not handled after several years which is quite remarkable for such an Internet-dependant organisation. In all thing are getting better now and then and the Android app has some advantages over the browser version like selective buying from the cart. Are these different development teams? Lots of of improvements can be made in quite a simple way for the shop visitors.

AliExpress can afford to leave things imperfect as the prices and the shipping costs are unbeatable!

Not worth the hassle!

Unless you are willing to pay huge custom fees then I would stay clear of buying from here, you get walloped at the door and have to pay loads in tax.
Only good for shop/store owners etc.
It is more of a wholesale kinda place and even if you think you have a good deal you can find the item somewhere else (Ebay normally) and the price will be higher but the buying process is easier.

If you cancel an order you get a refund within a week, they have buyers insurance much like Ebay now.

Be warned - aliexpress seems cheap and well managed but reality is different
Goods are often of a very low quality, often delivered non conform to what was ordered and then you think there dispute service would jump in and defend the customers rights... Well, don't keep on dreaming - even with correct provided proof chances are high you lose the dispute...

After a closed dispute where I lost shipping and everything else I took it as a lost with Ali. Months later I get an email from Daisy stating that they needed my bank info swift number pic ID so they 1 time refund me my money. I don't know what kind of scam there running but I'm no fool they already have any info they need to "refund" my money. Watch out with people there in our pockets big time and we're to lazy to spend a few xtra dollars so we pay the price for it!

When purchasing from AliExpress you gotta due your research. Other sites like eBay or Etsy have independent sellers and to ensure you are buying a good product what's the best thing to do? Look at the feedback and ratings for each store. I have had a few times when I did not receive a package for whatever reason and AliExpress customer service goes through a processing service to help get refunds. The only downside is that you have to be thorough when explaining the issues. I don't mind waiting for something but sometimes they can expect you to wait over two months so I usually keep my shopping to clothing or Jewlery.

Poor Online Shopping

I have ordered several times in the past from Aliexpress, but will never use again, due to the farce they call a Buyer Protection Plan. They have some very good stores selling online but there are also some terrible ones, and there is absolutely no way to tell the difference. Negative feedback has a way of disappearing so you cannot rely on their feedback system. To test this yourself; find an item that is reviewed poorly on Amazon.com and then see how it magically becomes a great item on Aliexpress. With respect to their dispute process; it is either non-existent at worse, or terrible at best. Communications are also extremely poor, because for other than the canned system responses, trying to discuss a problem with anyone at this company is not to be expected. I received a 65% purchase price refund on an electronics item that did not work from day 1 (one) and I am just thankful it was not a large ticket item.

You Get What You Pay For

I have only ever used AliExpress to buy very cheap items (stationery, costume jewellery, lunch boxes), and I have had reasonably good experience with all of them. Although all the items may be plastic-y, given the prices they are still much better than expected. I would only recommend buying things on AliExpress that you would normally buy at bargain stores ~ electronics, coats and big-ticket items almost always necessitate going into a store.

Better to pay a little more and actually receive the product rather than, wait for 5 weeks, receive several emails to confirm that the order is in transit, only to be finally advised that they are unable to supply the product. So in addition to wasting my time sending numerous emails, (which, if answered, fail to address the problem as, frequently the person you are corresponding with, has an extremely limited understanding of English), I still am required to pay AU$10.66 for postage for an item which was never posted. Unless the product you want is significantly cheaper on AliExpress it's not worth the risk and the ensuring frustrations. Just don't bother!

If you can wait a little longer for delivery than Amazon, AliExpress has generally great quality and sometimes amazingly low prices. There are lots of gems on the site. Sometimes things go wrong, and the customer support can barely speak English, but we always work it out. They do what it takes to satisfy the customer. I have found around Christmas that the shipping estimates are too optimistic, so give them more lead time around Christmas. You can save BIG money on AliExpress though. I recommend it.

I ordered a display for an HP printer.
Long delay before receipt (to be expected from China).
Part was defective out of the box. Additionally, ruined a cable trying to install.
Repeatedly tried to work with supplier who only delayed with question after question in order to delay past "customer assurance date".
My first and last experiment with this business!

I have ca 200 orders with sellers represented through this site. You can find almost anything for good prices, usually free shipping. Excellent customer care. A handful of orders have gone sour and AliExpress has provided refunds. Product quality must be assessed through reviews and a good study of description and photos - like everywhere else. It's a safe, orderly, deal based shopping place that I highly recommend.

I've purchased Ali since 2014, sometimes it's cheaper than ordering something from eBay. I can't say the products are awful (but you'll notice low quality, especially if it's something related to electronic goods), but be aware that everything depends on the seller. Nowadays this website changed its filters and interface, it's more complicated. I see no sense of buying anything there, but if you want to buy well, OK, but check everything twice.
