Nothing is ever what it looks like in the picture, the size charts never match up. You can buy cheap trinket junk but if it doesn't come or it's broken they make it impossible to get a refund. They don't give any correct options to choose so they automatically turn down your request for a refund or return. Then if you try to appeal it nothing ever happens. I'm done playing with this site. I got a few cheap trinkets that are all right, but nothing of inequality and I don't want to waste my money anymore. This is a total rip off, All In all. Don't take my word for it though LOL go ahead and try for yourself.

I've bought some good things on Aliexpress but have also been ripped off. Most recently, I ordered perspex jewellery boxes - 60 of them. They had a metal hinge and in 59 of them, the hinge was rusty. Seller promised replacement, nothing happened, then offered refund, nothing happened. Tried to open a dispute - too late, you only have a very short window to do that. Spoke to customer service on three occasions and every time I was assured I was due for and would get, my refund. It never happened. I won't be risking my money on them again. Very unpleasant being reassured on three occasions, then realise I've been lied to again. No longer buy anything from China.

Headphones Super!

They are headphones in my opinion complete and worth the price... because so far and used the headphones without charging them for anything constant use in music or so low and high... total work are already 5 hours and has a 60% can last longer depends on the volume level... and in terms of design and audio is good for those who like the bass this has good enough and does not hurt nor tired... excellent product I recommend it

Says standard shipping. Ordered product 1st week of june. Later received e-mail confirmation and it said should receive item in 35 days. If I dont receive it by september, I can file a dispute and request refund. 3 weeks now and still didnt receive item. Tracking only tells me it left the country of origin. Wont be buying anything from aliexpress again.

I ordered one small item at the end of November, 2016. They told me it should arrive not later than January 21,2017. Today is Jan 24 (55 days of waiting) and they give me new date Feb 18. I am sure in Feb 18, will be new date - March and so on.
It is pure fraud. I don't know why this site is still works. At least I payed only $5, but wanted to buy more if first item would be good and arrived. No anymore, Scam...

My $120 order was cancelled due to not available. After more than a month, it is clear that a refund will never come. There is no way to contact them. Dispute pages etc. are all dead ends. They got their name from "Alibaba and the 40 Thieves" which they truly are. This is a criminal enterprise... avoid it!

Denied refunds
October 29, 2022

One day, I purchased multiple items from multiple sellers. Today, tracking said "delivered" for many of my items. I have timestamp cameras, and my cameras show me sitting outside all day, with no deliveries. I disputed each item that was undelivered, and AliExpress denied EACH one immediately, as if a BOT automatically makes their denials.
Sad part is, I am disabled, and very broke, and these items were my kids Christmas gifts. The only ones I could afford. Now, I literally will not be able to give my kids any gifts. :(

We all accept that things can go wrong but we hope for a quick resolution. This site does not value its customers. Stay away!.
Seller Let's Marry sold me a dress, head gear and veil for my sisters wedding. Promised delivery in 30 days which was fine as it was more than four months before the wedding. Dressed arrived and it was the wrong colour. No head gear, no veil. Contacted seller who did not offer any resolution and stopped communicating.
Put in complaint with AliExpress 6 months ago and followed up periodically. Keep getting told it will be followed up. No concern for the inconvenience caused.

The worst
January 25, 2018

Not only did it take 10 days after a "Your product has been shipped" notice to get from China to Vietnam and 5 days later I still haven't gotten it-- but their website won't let me in it says unusual activity, wrong tracking code, unusual request... I have to wait for them to send a letter notifying me of where it's at. Over two weeks to go from one country to the bordering country. Amazingly bad experience.

O delivery, no refund.
Twice now (yes, I should have learnt after the first time) an order has simply failed to be delivered. I have followed the complaint process and it has been 'closed out' in favour of the seller because I did not have "documentary proof" that the product was not delivered.(!) The guarantee is completely meaningless.
I did manage to get a refund from VIsa the 1st time (and I'll try again on the second), which earned me a very rude email from Aliexpress (which I found rather satisfying - the damn frauds).
I really don't think it is worth the risk. Read some (many) other reviews here and on other review sites. If the Aliexpress site said the truth: "Many scammers use this site. There's a high chance that you won't get what you paid for. When that happens you're out of luck - we side with the scammers" you might be less inclined to buy from them. Don't be fooled by the "guarantee" - it is completely false and dishonest.

I bought a wig from a seller and the item isn't at all as described. Very low quality and full of short strands. Seller refuses to pay return shipping fees (of course since shipping costs is probably higher than said product) I'm a hair stylist and I have no way to salvage it to use or resell to my clients because it's very bad quality and poor craftsmanship. I'm disappointed in AliExpress for not providing better buyer protection. Now I have to file a complaint with my local government protection office. I provided pictures of the product compared with what the seller advertised I should have been refunded. Plus seller sends in a discount if you give a five star rating which I didn't do as the ratings and fake reviews are what made me trust them in the first place. So frustrated, disgusted and disappointed in my experience. I will overall not shop with AliExpress as they do not hold sellers to high standards. Seller is Pnex Official Store. Beware of scammer without integrity.

Avoid at all costs

This is the worst company i have ever come across in over 10 years of on-line purchasing. They were dishonest took my money, were rude and unhelpful when trying to get help. The finance dept is available for 10 minutes a day and so called customer service are unhelpful and totally clueless. Do yourself a favour and find professional suppliers. Ali Express are certainly not

Just don't. They hold their Customers in contempt.

Seriously, don't even think about it. I can't find the status of my refund, and there isn't a human being to be found.

It also seems that only Fraudsters sell through their Market.

They have also discontinued their email service. I wonder why?

I will be looking into legal redress as this is obvious avoidance of responsibilities.

Several items ordered on 11/21/23 were to be delivered by Dec 22.80% arrived, others are stil pending on 1/7/24. One specific item was ordered for a person that already left for another continent and so the item is of no use for anyone. When I tried to cancel and asked for refund, Aliexpress replied that my request is "invalid" (sic!) because the item is "in transit". I this issue remains unresolved this was my first and last purchase on Ali. Bottom line: you cannot trust that your items will be delivered on time nor that your complaint will be treated fairly. Its scam
December 9, 2016

Ordered one item. When I did not get it, I attempted to contact. Can only chat with them with no TEL #. I was told it was delivered to someone at a different state. I could not dispute since they had made a mistake and spelled my name wrong and there was one US account and Chinese account that could not communicate. I contacted the seller who never replied. Spend hours on chat and no one could help me. I was transferred through chat at least 5 times every time. What appeared to be machines. They kept providing repeated sentences that was not related to my question. This is Chinese or Japanese base company without any customer service. Its fraud. Worse online snooping experience ever.

Bad Service

There is no customer service, so if you have an issue with a retailer, you have to contact them directly. Rarely do they respond. Goods take too long to arrive. My last order was a month ago and I am still waiting. It cleared customs and that was that. Can't get a refund as retailer ignores me. Adverts are misleading and often confusing. Best avoid.

Their "SSDs" are useless
August 20, 2023

Bought a couple of the 2 TB. I do image backups to a real external hard disk, takes less than 3 hrs. With these things that ran for 2.5 days and then failed. Tried both of them. And tried to do a low-level format also, that also ran for 2.5 days and I gave up, so just did a quick format, in case there was some hidden some malware on the devices. They replied "had tested before shipping, were fine". Ok there was a basic check but the fundamental design issues make these useless; doesn't matter how cheap they were. No faster than a USB thumb drive.

Their responses keep asking for a video. What, I am supposed to record video for 2.5 days? They of course still don't mention anything about the I/O rate. Glad these stupid things only cost $21.

The worst place on the Internet for buyers! There are many scammers there. The common problems are:

1. Product not as described: No some functions, other color, materials, etc.
2. Product doesn't work properly, damaged, broken.
3. A seller may cancel a paid invoice and increase a price of a product.
4. A communication with the administration of Aliexpress is very difficult: no contact form, no email to send a message to the administration. Virtual Agent Eva (why not Adam?) is an interactive FAQ. FAQ is not good.
5. An escalation procedure of a dispute isn't suitable for buyers. You may add evidences, comments, messages when it's allowed by administration ("Awaiting my response" status) but the administration may allow or disallow such a possibility.

Enough?

Get rid of Aliexpress!
