For pros, they offer stuff you can't get elsewhere for decent prices and that is it.
Negatives, sellers range from good to bad with no way to vet them or verify reliability and trust other than user reviews plus bad sellers can easily make a new account so they are prevalent and not weeded out. Aliexpress doesn't have the customer's back at all if a product is defective, usually they require you to ship it back to China and the seller has to pay for the shipping! Since the shipping is more expensive than the item originally cost, this is a popular loophole for sellers to escape justice.
I have put through about 20 orders in my lifetime on aliexpress and I would say I have had issues with about 40% of those orders, whether missing items, quality, etc. and not once have I "won" a dispute due to the prohibited costs mentioned above.
I would only go here if you have no other option and then after submitting your order... pray.
Unfortunately my experience with Julia store (part of Aliexpress) was really bad: quality of clothing is terrifying, communication with the seller is bad and there is NO buyer protection at all, even though they promise the full refund if customer is not

Good products and bad ones too. Something was delivered to me that didn't work. First, you have to wait two months to receive it. Then you have to contact the seller. He asked me questions for 3 weeks telling me how to make it work. I proved to him that I knew it perfectly and told him it was not working. And each time, he told me the same nonsense. I try a 100 times to reach aliexpress with the live chat. About order **************, not satisfied with the dispute result, Aliexpress made wrong decision without my knowledge. Since when does aliexpress decide what the problem is without reading throughly? And thereby misjudged the dispute without my permission? //same order ************** i ask a refund 2 usd for a small part refund of a demange usb cable. If you know that sending something to china costs in 95% of the cases more than the value you paid, I don't think this is fair
You can get scammed fairly easily on this site. I received the wrong item a red cloud necklace instead of the 20 cm Black Knight that I paid for. I got rid of the packaging of the necklace and AliExpress made no attempts to follow up with the seller. They just denied a refund. Use another website if possible. Their cheap costs come at a price: time and reliability.
I paid a lot of money for an item, it was missing parts and Ali Express refuses to send them to me. I have emailed them time after time but they refuse to answer. Once they get your money you are not relevant anymore.
I have purchased a Soccer Jersey in the store Paramount. The quality is great and the touch is too, just like they said about it "the nice touch".
The store staff gives good and clear responses to their customer, and they were really helpful getting the right size jersey for me. The minor shortage is the free-delivery offered by them takes time. But if you can't wait there's alternative shipping options:)

There are too many sellers who just do not care about customer service. I rarely order but some vendors do not have web stores so I have to order through Aliexpress.
Buying is like gambling sometimes you will get amazing items all perfect first time around and then reorder and receive junk and seller telling you they will not refund of course we can bypass the seller but the wait time is horrible. Also some will not send at all or short your order.
If you are not in a hurry and don't mind having your money tied up then the site does have bargains.
With so many bad experiences in the past you think I would have learned my lesson.

They lie to you about the abilities of phones then when you start a dispute aliexpress bacs them up even with overwhelming evidence, the eternal team changes its name every month, if you check there reviews it's almost 1 star on all products, avoid aliexpress and there suppliers at all cost, you will get ripped off
Buyer beware! Ali Express fails to provide accountability, legitimate customer service, and buyer recourse if something goes wrong. I ordered some electronics which never arrived. When I contacted them for shipping information and requested a refund, the "customer service" was a chat provided by a 3rd party for whom English was not a first language. They sent me a bogus FedEx tracking number to get rid of me the first time I contacted them, and then said I had to open a dispute with PayPal which was a dead end. I now have to open a dispute with my cc. AliExpress *looks* like a crazy deal for US shoppers and I can see why people are tempted to shop there (I was!) but they very clearly do not have systems in place for accountable shipping or resolving customer issues and it is very easy for them to scam and frustrate you by hiding behind ESL chat as the only way to contact them.
First, I clicked to receive the item. That took away all opportunity to complain. I realized later the shipper The Black Pearl had sent the children's pajama version of the "Womens Leggings" I ordered, I had no recourse. I emailed the company but so far haven't heard a response. Thus, I can't order anything more from them as I wished to, in case it happens again. Some GoPro accessories I ordered were excellent, although you can tell by the finishing details that they're straight out of a Chinese factory. In my photos below, photo #1 is me wearing the leggings. They fit great but have a cheesy pattern. Photo 2 is the advertisement I ordered from on aliexpress.com. Photo 3 is ad I found later on the Black Pearl store page, which is for children's pajamas - that's the pattern I received, I believe. It looks quite different and oriented to larger shapes and primary colours than the adult advertisement (photo #2)
If you're going to purchase anything from this site, search high and low elsewhere first. Because, IF you get it, it's definitely not going to be of any quality at all.
I recently made a purchase of a cell phone case. It advertises heavy duty, solid metal components with gorilla glass screen protector. The case had no protector, was made of such cheap materials that it actually bent when taking it out of the box. And it was EXTREMELY over priced for the product quality.
This type of garbage is typical of aliexpress. Just a bunch of asian scammers.
I placed an order in December for metal signs & novelty license plates, the visa payment was processed & my Ali Express account showed no orders pending. Impossible to contact anyone to sort out, if the website doesn't have the exact question to ask information on you will never get a resolution. No phone numbers, no email contact, buyer beware! Make your purchases elsewhere & save yourself the grief. The only proof of purchase is my Visa statement showing the payment for the order.
Today is 31st January 2021. I don't know the guy was caught by Chinese Govt now nobody to control sellers behavior on this site. I ordered many items and all of them came out with 20 days or more to wait to ship. Cheap stuff that breaks as soon as you wear them. I bought lingerie on this website and i have never ever seen such cheap material and such bad quality. Delivery take ages, sometimes 2 months, i live in france.
Very cheap but honestly buy the real deal in your local shop even if it is more expensive. You will save yourself time, disappointment, and frustration. There is a reason why it is so cheap.
We recently ordered a dashboard mount cell phone holder made by Mpow (that is what was advertised). Instead, after a month, they send up a cheap third party window mount. We've sent photo's indicating they sent the wrong thing. They refuse to start an investigation insisting on more photos, which were sent. They truly do NOT care about the customer. All they want to do is keep the money. Luckily I used a credit card that has true customer support. They immediately refunded the money and have put the onus on those crooks to show they sent the correct product, which they didn't. Good riddance to them. I will NEVER use these AliExpress again - to me, they're just a bunch of scammers and crooks. I will use reputable sites such as official company websites or Amazon (they stand behind their customers), if I cannot find it in a real brick and mortar store.

These people are fraud. I placed an order 3 months ago and never received anything, when I asked for my money back I was told the dispute I issued was invalid.
