The product variety is good at Aliexpress, however the shipping takes forever to deliver in Mississauga, Canada. ITs very frustrating, and forcing me to consider local shops, or Amazon with a bit higher prices, but for better quality products, better customer service and much faster shipping.
Also, the return is horrible! Since the cheapest option is used for shipping, most of the products I receive are damaged, or very low quality. When I request return, the sellers often push back, and if they agree, they want me to ship the item back to China, for which, the shipping is very expensive from here.
The dress I ordered from this site is nothing at all what it looks in the photos. Don't be fooled! The quality is very cheap and the size runs really small. The seller was not helpful at all. They forced me to send back the dress to China and I was promised to get a full refund, but until this day I have not received anything. I was told that my refund would be sent to my paypal account but that never happened. Do not shop and waste your money on anything from this site!
Ordered 2 jerseys, with son looking on. Money debited from card. No jerseys by Christmas, and when package arrived, ONE jersey. Site keeps insisting I confirm and close order. Seller responded to insist I only ordered ONE jersey, then disappeared. Attempts to file a dispute on the site a total farce; it insists I submit "attachments' with my dispute, and even when I do, will not "submit". It wants me to download software from Mediafire. Forget it. No satisfaction here, and impossible to dispute. Even their "community" is down for servicing. Yeah, right.
Tpxinxin sent me an unreliable equipment without any instructions nor installation movie. They knew that I have to wait at least 14 days to install it therefore they just waited till I won't have an opportunity to rate. After installing the module it occurred with many malfunctions. They don't want to help me with that taking a cover behind their 14 days warranty. The worst shop ever. I won't by anything on aliexpress because of them
For us, is a great view to all new things that will come in next months, so we use it every week. We made more than 300 orders with just one incidence, with a seller (that closed the shop). All the rest arrive in decent time (10-20 days) and with no problems with products. They use to be what you see.
Order some knives and the seller was no help, admitted no wrong doing So we opened an arbitration/dispute... after many times of me having to contact Aliexpress to get them to act they still denied the claim after in their own email they admitted the seller sent the wrong item.
Now I had to do a charge back through my bank after I told them many times I would. Now they have frozen my order/account. I do not think i will order from there again although the prices are great. It took two months for this to be resolved.
Last year I bought Toshiba power transistors from one of their sellers. The parts were fakes and the seller excepted my complaint. The seller agreed to replace or gave me other items worth that value. I requested a different type power transistor. Well it arrived and they also are fakes. This is the third Aliexpress electronic component supplier that sold fakes to me. Now I continue to buy from EBay, Outsource and Banggood where I never received fakes.
Here is my review of AliExpress and it sucks. They sent me a garbage keyboard that does not line up and fit. Asked at least 6 times for a refund or replacement, I can't even get a reply.

Complete scam and fraud platform designed for that purpose. No matter what evidences you upload to show that you returned faulty items, they act blind to rip you off and never refund you. Avoid them. Use Amazon instead.
I spent $192 on faulty home thermostats (Order#**************) when i opened a dispute, they guided me to their courier, which collected the faulty items and returned it according to courier tracking, i provided them with the receipt, but AliExpress didn't issue any refund claiming that they haven't received it. The sellers act as if they want to help you, but in reality, they work for Aliexpress to fool you, believing that you will get a refund. All the positive reviews are fake. Complete scam.
Bought car media player but had missing cables and main car connector is incorrect. All messages to seller were completely ignored and arbitration, which seems to be automated rejected photographic evidence saying I needed a video to prove it didn't work. How can I connect it to make a video if cables are wrong? Now they want me to send back to China. I only want the correct cables but can make no contact with human. Never again.
If you love gadgets as much as I do you'll really dig this website. Aliexpress not only have thousands of products available but they have a really great buyer protection plan too. I've bought at least a dozen products from them and i've never had any issue - not even with customs. A very worthwhile place to shop and great prices too.
The tent has arrived with a delayed day, the company promises compensation (I wonder if they will make a promise?) - I am to be happy. Unfortunately, the packaging was slightly damaged but nothing happened. The tent is great (light) and unfolding is not a problem, I set up the tent without any instructions in 20 minutes :) Stitching, a rag, locks and tropics OK. At the moment there was no rain so I do not know how to watertight.
This site allows scammers to post items here at unbelievable prices. When the sale is made, the seller states that the item was delivered when in fact it was not. There is no oversight or real attempt by this site to check on the sellers veracity. Customer service must be for the sellers only because that is where this site has chosen to put their trust. Site won't last! Fool me once (for a small amount (4.99) shame on you! Fool me twice, is not going to happen. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!
This site has got to have the worst ordering system ever invented. I think they may have some really good products but if you cannot buy them, it is worthless! Their present system needs to be scrapped and replaced with a customer friendly ordering system and responses need to be in English.
I reported those sellers sold defect items with pictures and claimed for items not received. They said I was abused, "Malicious behavior Dispute failure" and terminated my account. I am able to buy stuff there but unable to open a claim, sounds like a scam!

Good marketplace, ordering more than 15 orders and so far very pleased. Unfortunately many offer counterfeit goods of poor quality and not appropriate photos. So be careful when ordering, pre-write the sellers if there are doubts and ask to send real photos and read feedbacks.
I have bought many things from aliexpress but the vast majority of the time it isn't perfect and takes quite some time to arrive. I know they do their best. Some of the pricing with shipping ends up being the same price as buying locally so watch for cheap items with shipping that costs more than the item.
