My product didn't turn up at all! Eventually I found out that the supplier was no longer in business. I contacted DHgate a number of times before my payment was due to be released to the seller. Rather than stop the payment to the seller, they told me to contact the seller. When I told them that the seller was no longer on the DHgate site, they told me contact the seller. When I explained that this was impossible because they weren't on the site anymore and asked for my money back, they AGAIN told me to contact the seller. Needless to say, I NEVER got my money back. NEVER again!

DHGate is a complete scam. I researched and researched thinking i might be able to find an affordable wedding dress. I knew going into this that it would be a gamble, however, after thoroughly reading through the reviews, I went for it. The dress was AWFUL. You could see right through it, the quality was poor. The seems were coming undone. The seller asked me to illegally ship this back so that they would not be fined with customs. After this, I opened a dispute with DHgate, sent NUMEROUS of photos, of which were all very much valid, and able to see the mistakes. I sent over 20 photos, and they claimed none of them were up to their expectation. In the end I was unable to receive my refund and was asked to spend over $100 to ship the dress back, the dress was $177 in the first place. Yes, i know it was a huge risk to try and find a dress, but based on the photos and reviews. I had no reason not to go for it. I would absolutely not trust their quality nor their customer service.

When I asked for the refund I was told by customer service that I had to contact the seller myself and ask them myself for a refund and only once they agreed could I get one. I laughed. You can buy stuff cheap on this website, as most sellers are in china so you can get wholesale items and whatnot. KEEP IN MIND that the items are sold by people and there are some bad apples. They do have a return service that is run by the website but i've only used it once and the seller was very courteous. Items will usually take a week to a month to arrive if you live in america

Listen, I order online ALL THE TIME. I am a huge user of Amazon and essentially buy everything online, or at least I comparison shop online before trudging to a store. I have worked with all sorts of online retailers. None of them gives me the bad vibes like this one. I ordered some shoes onlne before I knew exactly the origins and circumstances surrounding this company. Yes, a bad move on my part for someone who should know better. Anyhow, I attempted to cancel my order through DHGATE within minutes, literally minutes of making the order. What transpired was hours of communications back and forth between myself and the DHGATE "customer service" which literally told me they have no access to cancel orders.
I emailed the vendor directly through the website telling them I wanted to cancel and the order was erroneous. This have still, after 4 days, not indicated they will refund the order. All they've done is ask me why I'm cancelling. This is a very sketchy site. If you know Amazon, and you like the way Amazon does business in terms of its return and cancellation policy, then you will hate this company and its shady procedures.
