Booked 2-leg flight, first one got delayed. Missed second one. They refused to refund. Not even a single dime. They say it's because of the second airline policy. Not willing to help.

Worst booking ever! Recently traveled to Mexico city with a layover in Guatemala and was left stranded abroad with my 2 year old daughter. My arriving flight was booked overlapped with the departing flight and was unable to board the plane. With flights over booked, i was forced to travel from Guatemala city to Mexico city via Bus, which was a 24+ hour ride that required me and my family (2 year old daughter, wife, and brother in law), to cross the Guatemala & Mexico border by foot. We were "kindly" robbed by 5 individuals who offered help to have a "simpler" experience crossing to Mexico, thankfully it was only money and not our well being. But that was only the beginning, we were booked for a 4 flight round trip out of which we were only able to board 1 flight, all others were either booked overlapped or canceled by the airline (one day before our travel day). The options offered to replace canceled fights consisted of a layover in Costa Rica, which quite frankly gave me shivers. Customer service is useless, its like talking to a machine with an Indian accent. Horrible experience overall, i do not recommend using Kiwi and will not use them myself ever again!

If you want to lose your money and ruin your vacation plans, then contact kiwi.com
Step-by-step instructions on how to lose money with kiwi.com
Step 1: book tickets through this service
Step 2: kiwi.com first confirms the booking, and then cancels and offers other options (2 times more expensive) or a refund
Step 3: You agree to a refund, but Qiwi refunds you 20-30 percent less and REFUSES to confirm that the airline refunded exactly this amount.
Thus, you are being deceived and covered by the service policy, although by law they are required to confirm the return with documents from the air carrier.
The only reason a kiwi.com is needed in this world is simply to find out through this service which carrier flies to your destination and GO to the carrier's website to purchase tickets directly. Believe me, it's 10-15 percent cheaper there. Better yet, check it out for yourself.
Lastly, kiwi.com, you do not deserve to be an air carrier aggregator because your schemes are fraudulent and dishonest. I hope this review will help protect other people from you and make this world a better place but without you.

My recent connecting flight was missed as the time-frames of each flight was impossible to keep (as per US customs and additional unplanned delays), no assistance from either airline as one passed me off against the other and was stuck in Miami airport for 24 hours without a hotel. I also had to pay an additional £480 for another connecting ticket and unplanned extortionate exchange rate dollar airport conversion rates... If I hadn't have paid the £480 I would still be in Mimai airport now, as their earliest next flight was Thursday 13th December - after landing on Saturday 8th December...

Kiwi has been lying to me for about three months. They said they had contacted the airline for my refund, but when I asked the airline they told me they had not even send an application. After it Kiwi told me that the airline said I have to wait 5 more days, but the airline told me they never said that.
PLEASE BUY FROM A COMPANY YOU CAN TRUST

I booked with them and was supposed to fly in April, due to COVID my flight was cancelled, but I never got any money back. No one answers the phone and it has been more than 6 months after my contact with them and no money whatsoever and no replies.
PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOL YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR MONEY. THERE IS ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THIS COMPANY. BE SMART RUN AWAY.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Allow me to join the 96%+ of reviewers in awarding this scam just ONE STAR. I booked a flight with Kiwi.com with an airline that offers free changes of flights and also has a reasonable refund [cancellation] policy. First thing: Kiwi has failed to issue the ticket after I paid them 36 days ago. Therefore I cannot make any changes to itinerary with this booking. Kiwi claims on "Manage My Booking" that no refunds are likely to be available. I can't "Manage My Booking" because the airline doesn't even know the booking exists because the airline has not issued the ticket, because Kiwi hasn't informed them! I have had to pay Eu20 for processing a refund they say I probably won't get. What's really going to happen is that Kiwi will pocket my money based on the claim that the airline doesn't process refunds. I will delete this review if I get 70% or so of the money I spent on this booking. Otherwise the review stays: NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY - IT'S A TOTAL SCAM

Booked a flight back in February and my flight was cancelled due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. Kiwi's contact number is absolutely useless, they only prioritize phone calls for those who are about to travel, so as soon as my flight was cancelled, I couldn't contact Kiwi. I messaged Kiwi and was told my refund would be given; 8 months have passed and I tried reaching out again and was told that I do not get a refund. They blamed it on Contour Airlines and to which I contacted Contour was was told that Kiwi is a third party that has my money and should have requested to waive my fee because I did not travel for this flight. Terrible customer service and terrible experience and to top it off, I did not receive any money back from this trip. SCAM!

Don't use this service. There is no way to speak to a live rep or submit a case online. My Flight was canceled and airline refunded 100% of money to kiwi. I have seen zero of it.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH KIWI.COM. A flight was canceled by American and they did not inform me or rebook me. When I arrived at the airport and called them they refused to rebook or pay for my flight and claimed American was responsible, even though American informed all third parties of the cancellation. I spent 1.5 hours on the phone at the airport without any resolution. Absolute nightmare customer service all the way to the manager, who provided no relief to her customer and even dared to argue with me leaving me stranded at DCA.

I wish I could give 0 stars. This company is the worst. Gave me the biggest headache to deal with. One of my connections was cancelled and I was told to choose an alternative flight. I found a flight I liked and chose it and was about to be charged $236 on top of what I already paid— with NO refund to be given for the cancelled flight. I tried calling approx. 10 times and gave my booking # and since I wasn't currently traveling or due to travel in 14 days they immediately hung up with no other options. I then go to chat with them online and I went back and forth re-explaining the situation probably 15 times and just kept receiving vague, general answers with no personal help for my issues. I ended up calling the airlines directly to get my flight information, confirmation number, etc directly from them rather than continuing to go through Kiwi for checking in, if there was another cancellation, etc. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. It has caused me so much stress. I will be going directly through airlines from now on, even if it costs more. Do not give one penny to Kiwi.

Booked outbound and inbound with them. One connecting flight got cancelled so I tried to choose a different flight and was going to be charged an additional $236 and receive NO REFUND for the cancelled flight so was about to pay $236 on top of the $360 I already paid.

Kiwi knew for weeks one of my flights was canceled but didn't notify me. I found myself stranded in Brussels frantically trying to get things sorted out with Kiwi, who lied over and over again. I only found out they had been notified about the flight cancellation after initiating a claim with the airline, who provided the email they sent to Kiwi two weeks prior about the flight being canceled. As a result of Kiwi's negligence and incompetence, I missed a family gathering and a business meeting, costing money and immense frustration. Had Kiwi performed their contractual duty and notified me about the flight change I could have rescheduled. After immense pressure and hours on the phone, Kiwi did pay for a hotel, all the while trying to pretend they were doing me a favor and lying, saying the airline canceled unexpectedly. Of course, they didn't compensate me for the cost incurred due to their negligence and incompetence, such as of food in an expensive city, incidentals, hotel taxes, and the inconvenience of missing my meetings and family events. Then they tried to offer me a $50 coupon to delete the review... as if I would ever give them more money and another chance to screw me. Avoid this company, not only are they incompetent and negligent, they are also liars. I have the emails to prove all of this and will be escalating it to the proper regulatory authorities.

Purchased airlines tickets, called to cancel after one hour, company canceled my tickets, but never refunded my money, disputed charge with my Amex, just to heard that Kiwi.com does not comply with USDOT law of canceling airlines tickets with in 24 hours with a full refund, even do they did canceled my tickets with the airline and keep my money.

I have truly never had a more difficult and terrible experience. The customer service was awful, they honestly made everything more difficult and complicated. We realized only hours after booking our flight that it was on the wrong date and they said nothing could be done and we needed to buy another ticket. So, we ended up calling the airline DIRECTLY a couple days after and the airline told us they simply moved the date of our return flight back to the correct date and did not rebook an entirely new ticket... really?! They are LIARS! By telling us we needed to rebook a whole new ticket then come to find out all the airline did was move the return flight date which was only a $400 charge. We are now out THOUSANDS of dollars. Truly unbelievable- this business will not survive with customer service like this.
At the absolute least we could have received a voucher of some sorts. I have reached out numerous times to customer service and complaints department with no help whatsoever. I will warn everyone I know never to book with kiwi ever again.

Booked a flight with Kiwi.com (I'll never make that mistake again):
I paid extra to reserved a seat, I received confirmation from KIWI but my seat wasn't reserve.
I had to pay double at the airport to get the seat I need (I have knee problems and need to seat in the aisle).
Sent an email to Kiwi asking for a refund for the service they didn't provide.
After 4-5 emails that I sent them, Kiwi answer was:
"Remember that we charge a 20 EUR handling fee for all voluntary cancellations. This fee will be deducted from the final refundable amount. If the refundable amount is less than or equal to 20 EUR then we wont be able to provide a refund."
(And if I want to call costumer support I have to pay 4 NIS per minute)

HORRIBLE
First of all, I booked a flight home from Thailand to NYC with them for FEB 22ND 2020 - We happen to land in WUHAN out of all places with China Southern Air airline. The flight has been cancelled obviously - and KIWI is giving me a hard time for a full refund!
Can you believe it?
The airport is closed and airline has been cancelled what more can we do? The agents we spoke to are all horrid; not helpful and useless.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TRAVEL WEBSITE AT ALL.

Booked eight months ahead to ensure no hiccups, but a month or so after making my booking one leg of my itinerary was allegedly cancelled. Turns out it was only changed a couple hours, but Kiwi's rigid policy meant either cancelling a $1600+ booking or booking a replacement with Kiwi. The cheapest option was an additional 8 hours layover and $500 more. Nothing about the money refund for the "cancelled leg" by the way. So I cancel the whole booking and go with more trustworthy sites. They tell me a refund will take 3 months! And in likelihood will be less some fees and potentially only given in travel credit. I DON'T WANT TO EVER FLY WITH KIWI. I'm only thankful this happened while I was still at home. But one look at their social media or review sites shows this is a common issue and their customer service team are either AI or unsympathetic drones that get paid bonuses the longer they can hold people's refunds. Avoid Kiwi, it will only cost you time chasing impossible refunds from this shell company.

To give them 1 star is over rating them. You can't talk to anyone and they are giving me $10 refund for my two tickets I paid $250 for because the event I supposed to go for got canceled because of corona virus. Also, when I originally book the flight with connection, to my surprise when I got the confirmation, there were two bookings... means I have to pay for luggage twice. DON'T BOOK WITH THEM! SCAMMERS!

I asked for a refund due to the first lockdown in India in April 2020. Kiwi did nothing about this refund and I only got confirmation that they had even requested the refund from Cathay Pacific on 13/04/2021. I received this confirmation from Cathay- kiwi has refused to give me any evidence of their claims of them requesting this refund for the prior 11 months.
Instead, at one point they claimed they are going to send me vouchers instead of a refund, vouchers whose expiry date was a week before they bothered to inform me. I asked why 1. I didn't receive these vouchers 2. If I were to receive them, how was I to supposed to use them when the date of expiry was a week prior to them informing me and 3. Why were refunds not granted when the airlines confirmed I was entitled to one. Their response was that refunds were the airlines policy... so I guess I got a bot reply. I have found out today from Cathay Pacific they had granted a refund to Kiwi in April 2021- of course I've not seen this refund nor has Kiwi contacted me telling me about this refund. I've waited over a year for this refund... I guess I will keep on waiting. In the meantime I encourage anyone else facing similar issues to make official complaints about this company's practices through government channels.

I booked a United Airline flight with Kiwi.com to go back to Italy this Christmas. My daughter 's PCR test ( done twice to be certain) came back positive. I had to cancel my flight. I called Kiwi customer service in DC and I asked to talk to the manager. They told me that a certain Sushant Gawai would call me back within 4 hours. One week went by and they nobody called me back. I know that my fare is refundable but they told me that I need to rebook with them a new ticket. I will NEVER buy a ticket again from them. Their protection insurance does NOT include the most important area: COVID. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will go ahead and file a complaint with the US DOT and with Federal Trade commission bureau. DO NOT use them.
Tip for consumers:
I should checked this website to see that thousands of customers gave 1 star rating to this business before purchasing a ticket from them
