After booking our flight on Kiwi to Bari for today, we booked transportation and non-refundable airbnb, packed our bags... only to find out that our reservation was made for another day, a week later...
We tried so hard to call customer service and when they answered it was too late and we lost all our reservations so more than 500 euros.
The service is pathetic, the prices are inconsistent and their system changes dates and information when you refresh.
Stay away from this site by all means.

Bought a one-way ticket SFO -> BOM via Japan 1.5 months before the flight. There was a airport change needed in Tokyo. A month later Japan shut down all international arrivals into the country thereby annulling the ticket. There was no information from Kiwi about this change. Only when I called the airline to confirm my meal choice was I told about it. After spending an eternity on the phone to reach a human at Kiwi, they offered a 10 pound refund on a $1,500 ticket when the airline could have easily given a refund or at least a credit for future travel. These guys are crooks. Don't use them ever.

Stay away. If there is even a small chance that your flight might get changed (even by no fault of your own), these guys will keep all your money.

The worst agency ever, they just steal your money, the customer service the very bad and they don't even listen to you. ( they asking me to take the flight after it has landed) I got kiwi guarantee, and they let me alone middle of night. They gave alternative flight with 26 hours including 2 transit and buss, instead of my direct flight. Hahahah and thy refuse to refund my money back, I asked to talk to a supervisor and they also said he is not available. Just swindlers. Not recommended

I'm a cabin crew with Emirates airlines. Flew with so many other airlines all over the world, but had never been charged for a registration. The itinerary stayed that I can't do it online and need to proceed to the desk, but no information about the actual charges, neither in my email nor at the web site. The lady at the kiosk (where I was sent from online counter) told me that if I would do it on my own, I won't be charged. But again, the itinerary specified that this option isn't available. I call it catch 22. Shame guys. 20 bucks is a lot. Not happy.

Kiwi isn't a scam, however it has a horrible business model and application that leaves users with a false sense of security and confirmation of tickets.
Kiwi does everything by email, they will send you one email indicating any changes but if spam collects it or you just happen to miss it, you could end of stuck somewhere because your flight was cancelled a month ago and you have 24 hours to respond to that one email. Even though their application makes it seem like everything is fine with your itinerary. Look at the picture I posted, that flight from Paris to Denver was cancelled 3 weeks ago apparently, and apparently I was notified on what I wanted to do, yet here it is as though everything is fine.
Just stay away from this business, use Google flights and book each flight with the carrier directly. You won't save any money going through them.

I'm astonished about all these negative reviews. I'm thinking, are they actually real or is this a ploy by another site in competition with them to make them look bad. I only discovered kiwi.com a couple of months ago and so far they've been amazing, I booked a really cheap flight from Abu Dhabi to Edinburgh via Santorini and back again with no issues. In fact, Kiwi.com automatically checked me in which was a massive help to me. I got regular updates telling me they checked me in, or if there was a delay with the airline. Kiwi.com has by far been the best website to book travel on I've ever come across. I've told about a dozen people how great they are. I honestly think that these bad reviews are a 'set up' to make kiwi.com look bad because another competitive company is losing sales because of them. This kind of thing happens all the time on the internet.

I received an email saying that they would refund me. Unfortunately, I haven't received anything since then. I sent them several emails asking about the process of the refund. It has been 6 months now and no response.
(I lost $457.86 (flight ticket) by clicking cancellation by accident. I paid for luggage and insurance. Unfortunately, they are rip-off. Called them immediately after cancellation and they informed me that the total flight ticket is gone with $10.71 refund. It happened in less than 15 mins. I am sad and disappointed. Infinite loops of website, no one to speak with and unhelpful bots meant to wear you down.
They are holding onto thousands of dollars from us and in a time of economic distress.

It's been over 3 years that Kiwi hasn't been able to process my refund. If you look on any social media platform, Kiwi is consistently mentioned as one of the worst companies to book a flight from. I bought a ticket through Google and used this underlying service called Kiwi.com. They came back to me 2 times asking for more money to book the flight. The cost literally tripled. I did some background searching on them and found they have thousands of 1 star reviews. I think it's a huge scam and it cost me hundreds of dollars given that I had to go to a diff site to book it and w dynamic pricing I got hosed. Their customer service people say they manually do some of the orders- so when the price moves I am SOL. DO NOT USE.

Yes, it was the cheapest option... BUT:
1. They say they will do the online check-in for you and ask you for passport details. We were not able to provide our passport details due to a technical issue of them and Kiwi.com told us that "we must check in at the airport". The airline we flew with had an airport check-in fee of 55 euros per person which Kiwi.com did not refund us.
2. Kiwi.com gave us the wrong information regarding the cabin luggage weight that was allowed for the airlines we were using.
3. They generate different booking references for each flight, meaning that you will need to pick up your luggage in each connection and check them again. This also means that if your flight gets delayed or cancelled and you don't make it to the next one, you will end up paying for new flights according to the feedback from other customers.
4. Kiwi.com replies fast via messenger (on Facebook) but the customer care service is poor.

Clearly kiwi is a scam and will just get all the money they can get from you. I'm in the process of refunding but is unable to reach any customer service. Despite the fact that the airline's website says they are opting to not charge for changing flights, Kiwi will only offer me $10 off my new flight. I bought tickets with Kiwi.com in Feb 2020. Airline cancelled the flight. I contacted them for refund. Kiwi said they use their credit card not mine to book, so they will get the refund, asked me to pay more to process, I paid, now it is 2022, I got an email that now I have KIWI credit for only 70% of the amount. I called they want booking #, this does not work because it is 2020 reservation, there is no agent option. I sent messages but no response. I feel helpless. I need to file a complaint. Their policy is hidden; you only know it after the booking, and they will provide 15 CAD no matter how much you pay.
I have asked them to provide an alternative that already exists on their website and send me another option that I need to pay the total amount. Ok? What about the previous ticket that I paid 1050 CAD for?

I've never been lied to so many times in a phone call requesting to speak with somebody about what is going on. They pocketed our money that the airlines refunded us and pretended like they were working on getting us our refund back. Even a voucher for a future flight would have been nice.

This company stole $5000 plus dollars from me. Upon considerable prompting by them and their misleading emails, I mistakenly pushed the wrong key and ended up double booked on the same flight for the same people on the same day. In other words it was physically impossible to use one of the trips. They just said, tough luck, and kept all of my double payment. No credit, no refund, nothing. Not their problem they say. Oh sorry, they did refund $12 of my $5000 plus.

Be very careful of this companies misleading emails. They will keep telling you to "finish your booking" even though you already have. Push that button and they will happily take your money again for the exact same trip. Check your credit card statement carefully. Why would their site even allow this, let alone encourage it. And since they are based in the Czech Republic, they are not governed by any North American government consumer legislation.

I booked travel from the US to Europe with Kiwi.com. The journey was slated for summer of 2020 and composed of two flights with a transfer between difference airlines. Travel began to shut down in spring of 2020 and refund requests followed soon thereafter. This is a challenging moment for all and is quite understandable that there would be delays in processing such a large number of transactions. But it has been over a year and I still have not received my full refund, worse still, they only refunded the value of one of the tickets I bought through them. To add insult to injury, they said that I had been completely refunded and that my issue has been resolved. They have ignored my repeated, civil attempts to continue the conversation with me; never mind evening acknowledging any error or wrongdoing. Do not do any business with them in any capacity. I cannot stress enough how shady, obtuse and greedy they are.

I bought ticket from kiwi involving Swiss airlines. They missed my connecting flight. Yet didn't provide me help although i had paid extra 22 dollars for their premium help service because i was travelling in an emergency. They send alternatives after taking 1 day and also those alternatives have around 24-48 hours.
Using their service i lost my precious extra 2 days and 250 dollars. Also i was restless for whole travel time. Never use their service any more.
