Argos should really give this so called delivery company the BOOT. And if YODEL want to get in touch, please do. Pathetic.
I gave yodel a ultimatum to either deliver my parcel before 9pm the day before valentines day or just straight up send it back to the ebayer that sent me them because i just give up with said company they are useless refuse to help specially those with special needs ie mentally and learning wise they fail all logical answers have goodness knows who working there that dont understand when i mention the parcel is urgently required by a set time they just truelly do not care at all because they just dgaf due to not carering about the customers that they upset no offense please do not use them any more lets make them go out of business because i just hate a service that isnt going to understand when something is urgent it needs to be there the day they advertised for it to be it was advertised to arrive by 13th feb 2024 they have aproximately 5 hours left before i refuse to take the package from them due to being gone and they dont offer leaving the parcel with neighbours or in safe place with this parcel which i call garbadge i will be lettign all ebay sellers not to use them because they just do not care for their customers at all i think everyone else should do the same
There was no prior information about delivery timing. We were at home though when it arrived. The driver rang the Block buzzer for access to the 4 storey block and we confirmed the parcel was for us. He did not reply. After some time he had not appeared at the flat door so we checked from the balcony. He ignored our calling to him, went to a recycling bin and dumped something, then got back in his plain white van (he was wearing a yellow Yodel vest) and drove away.
We managed to get downstairs in time to recover the parcel that had been left, without a word, a note or anything in the public area by the open outer front door of the Block. Anyone could have taken it. Luckily, we were able to locate and recover it.
I contacted Yodel on webchat. The operative was very slow, very unhelpful and basically shrugged me off. I asked to whom I could write to complain. He replied 'Abbie'. I asked him for an email address. He gave me my email address. I pointed this out and asked for an email address of someone in his company. He did not answer. I prompted him several times asking if he was still there, why he was not answering (all very politely) and he just closed the conversation without a further word. I had been making screenshots of all the conversation (including the record of him closing the conversation without replying) and still have that saved: just as well as the option to have the conversation emailed to me did not work (I have a copy of that pop-up as well)
This is a repeat of every previous very poor service their company has given over the years. They are simply useless in terms of final delivery - it seems their weakness is their use of casual contract staff to drop off the parcels at the destination: always in private unmarked vehicles, always sloppy, always too lazy to actually make the delivery. And their webchat service is also very poor. The operatives are slow, seem uninformed and designed solely to get rid of people without giving any helpful information or taking any real action. They also, apparently, think it is OK to keep someone hanging on, not answer and then close the conversation. By my measure of customer service, that is plain rude as well as extremely unhelpful.
I have included a photo of the tracking number in case Yodel want to contact me.
If I could give 0 stars I would.
This is the worst delivery company I have ever know.
First parcel was returned to the seller, because apparently the driver was told I have moved address...! News to me, but still doesn't explain why they didn't knock my door, leave a calling card, etc - surely Yodel do not take the word of some random stranger that the driver happens to speak to on the street. Of course not...! The driver clearly was clearly trying to deliver to the wrong house but Yodel won't admit that.!
So the seller sent the parcel again - yes, unfortunately by Yodel despite me telling them what had happened.
Apparently this time they managed to deliver the parcel. I just do not know where it has been delivered or who to...!
During 6 online chats with their terrible customer service team I was told the parcel had been delivered to my home and the driver sat nav proved it. They wouldn't share the sat nav info though. Then I was told actually it was delivered to a neighbour called Khan. We have no neighbours called Khan but I still checked with all neighbours and no one had it. Then on another chat I was asked to confirm my address, I did and was told that didn't match their records. Incredibly the customer services rep then went on to say but their records proved the parcel was definitely delivered to my home. They couldn't explain how this was possible when they had just admitted the address they had on the deliver record didn't actually match mine...!
I asked for a photograph of the delivery location. After repeated asking, I was sent a photograph that they claim was where they delivered the parcel to. The photo shows a number of parcels (all of them battered and damaged) stacked up against a wall - details unclear as it is taken so close in you can not see the background. However, despite being a close up shot, the address label is blurred so you can not see if it is mine or not (I suspect not as the parcel shown is completely the wrong shape for the item I was expecting). It begs the question, how could the parcel have been handed to my neighbour (the mysterious Khan) if the photo shows several parcels left against a wall.?
Running out of answers, Yodel's response is simply that I should contact the seller.
Why anyone uses Yodel defeats me completely.
Amazing delivery service friendly driver.
And received delivery on time too.
Niekompetentni idioci … kierowca nie mógł znaleść mojego adresu przez 5 dni a na koniec idioci anulowali moje zamówienie … trzymajcie się jak najdalej z tej gownianej firmy
The worst delivery company in the uk.
Paid for a parcel to be delivered in a drop off near my house and the driver dropped it off 25 miles away from me. Customer service knows about it and been waiting 3 days for an update. No one answering live chat or the phone. Worst most unreliable service there is.
Even the shop assistant said the driver probably forgot to deliver then just dumped at a drop off near them because the drivers are incompetent lazy and useless. Just like yodel as a company.
This company advised the sender my address was incorrect & they couldn't deliver. Then when I contacted them (with great difficulty, could not get speaking to anyone) they told me they couldn't deliver because there was access issues to the property... there is NOT! Then when I went on live chat they cut me off twice instead of resolving. THEN once I was advised it would be looked into they sent me an email the next day to tell me they had returned the item to the sender. Useless company for deliveries& with zero customer service!
Paid for a next day service. I waited in all day and no one came. The app then said delivery had been attempted, which it hadn't. There was no calling card and the only options were to collect from a depot 30 miles away. Yodel are a bunch of deceptive liars. Do not pay for next day... It doesn't happen. Use Evri instead.
Answer: If you do get through you won't get your problem solved. All you get is it has been raised with the depot, but you still don't get your parcel. Don't even bother with contacting the driver they never answer their phone and they never respond to messages.
Answer: Not applicable. Yodel were chosen by the supplier.
Answer: Legit but very bad communications with both sender and recipient
